    Fuck it

Hey, I was just trying to make amends. This all stems from you being a big baby and you thinking I tried to get you banned once, when I was only just joking around. Half the people who think I'm conceited here only think so because you say it OVER and OVER with almost NOTHING to back it up. I figured if you could just stop the bullshit, maybe I can actually post for normal around here without people I never ever talked to talking shit on me for no reason, hence the name change. I may have said a few stupid things in the past, but I won't be saying things like that anymore. But apparently you still plan on acting like the most immature asshole. PS: Showing me trying to be nice doesn't exactly help your argument that I'm a terrible person.

Is there any way we can contain all this Yankee talk? It just goes on forever and ever.

Wow. Show some faith, man. Hey, my team was 7 games out a week ago. Look where they are now.

    Hi

That's three posts you've made and all three have made no sense. Is that some kind of record for one thread? And for the hundreth time, Lightning Flik suggested this name and I went with it.

    Hi

    Hi

Come to think of it, JSYK, what's your problem too? I never even interacted with you.

    Hi

Well to be honest, accepted doesn't make sense either. If someone didn't accept that I left they would have gone on still believing I posted here and refused to believe I had left.

    Hi

    1) Absolutely everyone? 2) That sentence makes absolutely no sense. Excepted by everyone?

    Hi

Hey, I wasn't asking you. I already know what you think of me. I also know that you're wrong, and no matter what I say is going to change your mind.

This may be Pavano's first good season, but injuries have prevented him from doing this more often. Remember, he once was traded for Pedro Martinez.

Which, of course, they can't win. And in that regard, you're right. I certainly hope that doesn't happen.

I see what you mean, he would command a big pay day. But the stadium is looking more and more like it's going to be a reality and the Marlins are actually going to start making money. The local papers are saying they might not cut payroll at all, in fact increase it a bit. They are going to pay LoDuca to stay and want Pavano too. I know people don't believe the whole argument about a new stadium automatically makes a team better, but with the Marlins it is different. Wayne Huizenga still makes more money off the Marlins then Loria due to the stadium lease. He gets all the luxury box money and I believe all of the parking, which is why the Marlins are losing so much money. New stadium is likely to open in 2007 and the Marlins are in the process of setting a new spending limit.

Well, for what it's worth, Pavano very much wants to stay in Florida, and if he keeps winning and actually wins himself into the Cy Young, the Marlins wouldn't let him get away.

Haha. For the record, although I did give up on TSM for a bit, I never gave up on the Marlins this season. There have been many times when it's been easy to do so. The streak where they got swept twice in two weeks by the Pirates, with a series loss to the Expos sandwiched between was one, and also about a week and a half ago when they were 7 games out. I just kept telling myself the same things most fans do...well, if they sweep this series and then this series, they will be back into it. I realized it was improbable, but what do you know? That's what happened. Unfortunate what happened to the Phillies this season. How is this for bad luck? I was in Philadelphia to witness first hand the only game the Marlins lost to the Phillies this season. Just my luck. Good to be back.

    Hi

Hey, I was gone two months. That's eons longer than everyone else who goes away and eventually comes back. Sorry to see that you "left", one of the entertaining people here.

    Hi

Can't truly complain. I'm in a much warmer climate now, that makes me happy.

The Next two Harry Potter books

As Eric points out, Harry Potter 3 was longer than both 1 and 2, yet a shorter movie. As the books go, there are more and more subplots, which are going to be cut out in favor of the central plot. I believe Goblet of Fire can be one movie because there is a lot that can be scrapped (Quidditch World Cup, Hermione's house elf quest), but Order of the Phoenix doesn't have many cuttable parts, in my estimation.

FYI, it's impossible for the Marlins/Cubs to switch sites for the series. Dolphins have a home game next weekend, so it can not be in Miami. I am really hoping they can get some games played, however. PS: Hello.

    Marlins trade Penny/Choi to Dodgers

Eh. I'm not expecting anyone to side with me. All I'm saying is that we'll see. And with that I bid you all adieu again.

    Marlins trade Penny/Choi to Dodgers

Probably should have clarified. I know most people pay no attention to the Marlins. Conine has a miserable first half and went so far as to call himself a disgrace and that he should be benched. He now has 14 RBIs in the past 13 days, as he's broken out of his slump. That's what I meant, I just worded it very poorly.

    Marlins trade Penny/Choi to Dodgers

Trust me, I wish there was another way. But there is no team in the league trotting out a worse catcher combination than the Marlins have all season. The spot has given virtually no production. LoDuca multiplies the production, without much exaggeration, 5 fold. To get him they had to give up something. And the bullpen ahead of Benitez has been atrocious. Mota will improve that a great deal. Beckett might get injured again, but he made it to his three innings today pain free (granted he got shelled but it happens). Someone mentioned the Marlins losing today. That's not that hard to believe. Livan would probably crack Bill Simmons vengeance scale when he pitches against his former team and they found out a half hour before the game about the trade. You guys, honestly, all make good points. I just have a gut feeling that this is a perfect trade. I could end up being wrong, but look at how my gut feeling and prediction turned out last year.

    Marlins trade Penny/Choi to Dodgers

Very true, Al. But luckily for the Phillies, there are only two series left head to head. That's not what is to be worried about. If the Marlins did not play the Phillies, they would be 9 games under .500. Now, with this lineup, they can actually win games against the other teams. Which gives the Phillies even less of a chance to catch up to them. And Felix Rodriguez isn't going to help. Pierre-Castillo-LoDuca to start off and get on base and then Lowell-Cabrera-Conine and Encarnacion batting 7th to knock them in. Ok, his OPS is low, but he's not exactly going to be the cleanup hitter. And if the Marlins were to acquire Lowe, barring injury he would probably run as the 4 or 5. You might not be afraid of that, but there is no person alive afraid of Paul Abbott.

    Marlins trade Penny/Choi to Dodgers

I know I don't post here anymore, but I'm going to every place I can to read about this trade. I have one thing to say... you guys are fucking insane. This is the best trade in the history of the Marlins organization, and look at all the players they have acquired through trade. Gaping holes at catcher, middle relief and in desperate need of an extra RBI producer, they get all 3 at once. They had 5 starters who could legitimately be a 1 or 2 on many teams in the league. They didn't sacrifice anything. Yeah, LoDuca is 32, but it's not like he's locked up to a 6 year contract. We're talking about this year. After today, I wholeheartedly believe they will win the NL East. Their lineup is 5x better than it was yesterday, especially with Conine remembering that he should have some RBI every once in awhile. And that's not including the fact that Peter Gammons has said they will most likely get Derek Lowe to fill the spot in the rotation. I think the Phillies fans on this board should be a little more upset about this.
