My friend's parents live in China and when he went to visit them about a year ago he said this movie was everywhere and the most popular movie in the country, so I'm gonna assume it's a new movie.

No love for Big Fish? That movie rocked.

Is Stephen A. Smith not the WORST sports commentator in the history of any sport? He's so bad, I can't even believe he's hired.

The thing with the Marlins stadium is this... it's not the team's fault. They are doing all they can to raise the money for the stadium. They have raised nearly $300 million. They just need the state to approve the final $60 million to be paid out in $2 million payments for 30 years. No politicians will pass the bill, leaving the final piece of the puzzle left sitting on the table. The Marlins are doing everything they can to stay in South Florida, but the politicians are the ones dropping the ball. As a fan of the team that has never even been to Miami, I don't care if they move or not. I'd prefer that they stay but I'd support the team no matter what. I know everyone hates Loria, but it's really not his fault here.

I agree, the fantasy threads shouldn't be pinned.

For those who aren't aware, Dontrelle Willis is pitching on national TV tonight on ESPN against the Braves. I know a few of you want to watch him pitch (such as Frigid). Hopefully the ERA stays 0.00.

The chart makes it easier to read.

Yeah, Denzel is definitely not the top drawing actor. Not even close. He's not even in the top 100 of all time gross. Here are the grosses from www.the-numbers.com 1 Harrison Ford 33 $3,255,038,801 $98,637,539 2 Samuel L. Jackson 59 $3,031,113,680 $51,374,808 3 Tom Hanks 31 $2,842,166,284 $91,682,783 4 Tom Cruise 27 $2,566,844,575 $95,068,318 5 Eddie Murphy 29 $2,480,021,588 $85,517,986 6 Bruce Willis 43 $2,356,499,883 $54,802,323 7 James Earl Jones 40 $2,343,822,050 $58,595,551 8 Mel Gibson 34 $2,300,893,723 $67,673,345 9 Jim Cummings 26 $2,253,349,139 $86,667,275 10 Gene Hackman 59 $2,246,177,460 $38,070,804 11 Robin Williams 41 $2,230,250,633 $54,396,357 129 Denzel Washington 32 $1,147,305,027 $35,853,282 As you can see, Denzel is nowhere near these people in total gross and only compares to Gene Hackman in per movie gross. He's made 1 more movie than Tom Hanks and 5 more than Tom Cruise and still trails both by almost $2 billion in revenue. He's got a lot of catching up to do. And per picture average? Forget about it. He'd need to make about 5 movies in a row that generated Titanic type money to even approach Hanks, Cruise, Harrison Ford.

I have it. I like Falls on Me, Million Miles, Most of All, and Die Like This. You'll get no arguement from me that this is their worst album, but still a few good songs. Yet, no Shimmer.

Choken One was saying something last week?

How about you try that one more time... in English.

So I'm settled in last night for Braves/Marlins baseball on TBS. Three minutes to opening pitch. Cable goes out, internet goes with it. Damn! I got some dinner and scrambled over my girlfriends to see the Marlins already down 6-0. Beckett got hammered again. I guess the Braves can dominate the Marlins like the Marlins dominate the Phillies. We'll see if it can be turned around today. If not, D-Train goes tomorrow on sunday night baseball on ESPN.

He never even swung the bat. Even with the Padres up like 10-0. As for the pitch, it wasn't super duper close, but it was close enough. Especially when it's the very next pitch after a homerun.

Sweep number two. Phils made it interesting, yet fail again.

Now call me crazy...but I really think that the Saints are gonna keep their turnaround going and make it to the playoffs...and I just have a strong feeling that those Maple Leafs are going to make it to the playoffs. *Note, not all crazy predictions of mine result in a world title*

Here's what you missed. Mike Redmond hits a homerun in the top of the 2nd. VERY NEXT PITCH, Brett Myers threw right at Gonzalez's head. Pratt turns around to give and gets a little aggressive with Gonzalez so Gonzalez slaps the glove away. Then Prett pushes Gonzalez and Alex went in for the fight and put up his dukes. Both dugouts cleared and someone tackled someone else. Now Pratt AND Gonzalez are booted.
-
As it should have been. Fuck Brett Myers. That's bushleague. He threw it RIGHT at his head. Now, Todd Pratt is ejected and for good reason.

Has there ever been a not frustrating time?

I liked South Park at first, but i thought it got old fast. The only part I think I really enjoyed was Michael chasing after his son when he pulled his nose off saying "that's ignorant, you're ignorant." Chapelle Show on tuesday? Not sure how I feel about that.
-
Was there ever any doubt that was forged? Although he's got you by the balls there.
-
Right, those are park specific rules. I think the announcers got it wrong. The rules of the game at every level I've played (up until high school and club college; fyi for Al Keiper, I hit a 3 run HR out of Lackawanna County Stadium in district playoffs of highschool) are that if the ball is stuck under the fence it's an automatic ground rule double. Here's why: say Conine tried to get it out and the ball is stuck. Even a split second of struggle could lead to an extra base. That's the reason why that's the rule. I don't think the "park rules" matter in this situation.
-
Saw the play on Sportscenter. There isn't a chance in hell of that being overturned. That is Conine being a veteran to perfection and he was 100% correct. Might suck for the Phillies, but that was definitely stuck under the fence and a ground rule double.

Game over, Marlins win.

Well, Marlins take the lead.
