Everyone says that, but Simon Cowell is not the person who owns the record company. That's Simon Fuller, the show's creater. Unless I'm missing something. I know Cowell has an important job, but Fuller is the owner.

Norah Jones, 1.02 million copies. Highest debut in over two years. Kylie, not so lucky. Not even in the top 10. Sorry Kotz, but all your whining was for nothing. Back to UK/Aus only.

Look at his other auctions, many are well over $1,000,000. He just sold this... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...item=2460961703 ....for at least 10 million

Marlins, because I still believe.

I still think baseball is a fan friendly sport. Answer this question, what other sport can a family of four afford to attend on a regular basis? Now, the whole point of your post was to say it's not fan friendly. I've only been to 3 stadiums, but when I went to see the A's in Oakland, I got in for $4 and there were $2 hot dogs. Hello, I saw Major League athletes, the best in the world and had a (questionably decent) dinner for under $10. I've also gone to see the Phillies for less than $10 at the Vet (which I'm sure will change with the new park). Baseball is fan friendly, and the arguments of Al et al are right on the money. There are 81 games, some times for two weeks straight. You can't sell out every game, but you will almost always see big crowds for Sunday day games, games when the Yanks are in town or when Pedro is pitching, etc. George isn't ruining anything, because last time I checked... I was the only one gloating on this board in October when my small market team took down the mighty Yankees (Hi Anglesault). Football is no doubt the number one sport in America, but I honestly wouldn't place baseball very far behind.

Favorite songs on the new album?? Mine are Red Blooded Woman, Obsession and Promises. Limit it to 3.

I did, but only because I saw on the-numbers.com and in a review that it was projected for 45 mil. It deserves it, great movie.

Eh, I see nothing good until March 2nd, when School of Rock comes out.

Saw it. Loved it. Schneider and Astin were great, as were the plot and the end. Great V-Day movie and movie in general.

It has to be an act. No one can seriously be that dumb.. Can they? Can...they? Someone please tell me it's not possible.

Man, stop whining. It doesn't matter this year because Norah Jones will crush all competition. For what it's worth, I'm a big Kylie fan after living in Melbourne and seeing her parents house and where she used to live. Not to mention the entire country loves her and plays her music all the time. I grew to love it. I picked up the album, and it's one of her best, IMO. There might not be a single artist who could release an album this week and outsell Norah Jones.

No, Fantasia and Diana moved on. The guy who sang Walking in Memphis made it to the final 3 at the end and was the last one eliminated to end the show.
-
For what it's worth, I voted for Erksine, the singer who did Journey. I love his voice, and if you can remember back to last week, I think he blew everyone away then. I hope to see him continue on.

I'm sorry, but this is bullshit. iTunes has unsigned bands on their music server, as a friend of mine has their band on there, completely unsigned. If you have iTunes, do a search for Electric Candy Shop. If you or your representation can convince someone at apple you are good enough, you'll be put on.

Rocky theme.

That's disgusting. I hope he rots in jail.

http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/sportsnation/franchiseRanks It's based on a ranking system that includes some things such as bang for the buck, ownership, likeability of players, as well as a few other categories including championships or likelihood of upcoming championships. Florida Marlins ranked #24 overall.

In what should come as a surprise to no one, I'm taking the Marlins. I honestly think the team this year is just as good, if not better than it was last spring training. Don't forget, Urbina and Conine were late season moves. If in contention again, more players will be brought on board.

Bill Simmons, ESPN's Sportsguy and quite possibly the greatest sports columnist I've ever read has been sent back to the Superbowl. Coincidentally or not, he's been sent both years the Patriots have made it to the Superbowl. He has carte blanche this week, and he's doing a Superblog that is being updated about 3 times a day on ESPN.com's Page 2. So far he has talked about the NFL experience, how everyone in New Orleans hates him because of the things he said about the city in 2002, sitting on the plane in first class with Jaclyn Smith (and a subsequent listing of all time hot babes), and why every NFL owner should play blackjack with a prospective coach before hiring him. I really think if you haven't read Simmons, you should check it out and for those who do read and might not have heard of it, you did now. http://espn.go.com/page2/s/simmons/040127.html

He did say as early as 2000 that his life dream was to streak at the Super Bowl. For those not aware, this guy has streaked in over hundreds of events since 1994.

I love Owen Wilson, and I can't even lie...Big Bounce sucked...terribly.
-
kazaaliteuser is listed three times. We are all busted now.
-
I think if he's serious about this, we shouldn't see the typical 50 posts a day from him. If we do, this is all bullshit. In fact, if the tryout is on Friday, he should barely even be on here between now and then...all time should be spent completely whipping your ass into shape. Good luck, man.

Next week, first Owen Wilson movie in almost a year...Big Bounce! Straight to number one (perhaps in a dream world)

http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page3/ Starts off today with a countdown of the 100 greatest Simpsons moments, 25 a day, as well as a 64 show Page 2 type bracket to determine the best show on TV. I love Page 2, is this overkill? It's a different subject matter, so maybe not. An entertainment page on ESPN.com might be weird, but it's looking pretty decent so far.
