I'm back. Closer than I thought it would be. Tried to find the game on the radio from NYC back to Ithaca, and couldn't. If Willis gets this out and the Marlins get this game, I will be so pumped. I know this thread missed my constant Marlins shilling.

I'm off for fall break, so everyone try and not shed too many tears without me posting for games 3, 4, 5, and possibly 6. (And there will be 6 games, you know this.) Go Red Sox and Marlins!!

Dames, I know this is nitpicking buddy but your appendix isn't part of your stomach, it's actually on the ascending colon of the large intestine, closer to the rectum. The annoucers were just talking about how Prior just proved he was a big game pitcher with tonight's outing. Um, how? He had 12 runs of support and the Marlins didn't take advantage of their opportunities. They did not get dominated by Prior. The fox annoucers are so annoying.

I know this is way late, but whoever said the Cubs fans would trek to Florida, sorry, the Marlins actually sell out playoff games. 65,000 seats sold for all 3 games in under 5 hours. Nothing but teal and black in the seats for those games. Don't get your hopes up.

I am happy with this game, for one simple reason. Sure, the Marlins are down, but at this point it looks like Prior is going to be anything but untouchable. 2 runners for the Marlins in each of the first two innings...maybe he'll settle in, but maybe not.

I will not argue with you if you say the 97 Marlins are, but this team is not that team, and this team is anything but a disgrace. I know a team that plays the game the right way and doesn't rely on a 3 run HR is a disgrace. I know a team with a payroll of only 48 million sending home teams with twice that is certainly a disgrace. I know a team that plays the game with the enthiusasm and unbridled passion of a little league team is certainly a disgrace. I challenge you, Bob Barron to tell me how the Florida Marlins are a disgrace, and the words 97 and fire sale are not to be used because they don't pertain to this team.
