Ok, I will tell the story. The Marlins started in 1991, I was 9 years old. I had no team, but played baseball myself. I was raised by a single mother and she liked the Marlins colors so she bought me a shirt. Being 9, I became a Marlins fan and never stopped. I rode it through the dark years of Orestes Destrade and Pat Rapp. I remember watching the press conference hiring Jack McKeon as manager. I made $125 my sophomore year in high school as the only Marlins fan in my school. Easiest bet...$50 the Braves would sweep the Marlins. I won in game one. I kept following the team through the fire sale and the dark years. I followed every trade and tried to learn the prospects. I even checked box scores when I lived in Australia last year. I can't explain it really but I just love the Marlins.
