I'm sorry. I'm really not in the mood to argue with someone and their points scoring ego. So, let's leave it there.

Random Thoughts 3-27-08 to 5-28-08

Kristal Marshall is pregnant. Which is why lashley might not be making any fulltime wrestling commitments. -
Well done you! What a put down! Back onto adult conversation: I doubt even rove was expecting something like 1000 year republican rule, although supposedly he used to brag about a republican majority for the rest of his lifetime and his kids lifetime to people. but that's just a rumour. But I can't think he's too happy with the state of the republican party in 2008 and that frustration is showing. Just freaking out about a flag pin seems so unusual for a man that seems to pride himself in always being in control. Maybe the Siegelman case is taking its toll. Either way, Mccain shouldn't be relying on Karl to win this election for him. Most of his tactics are outdated anyway: Black babies and swiftboaters probably don't have the same impact they used to.

Karl is just pissed because his plans for a 1000 year republican reich have been scuppered.

Roslin's calling out tory for her whoring was quite funny: 'I don't care if you spend all night praying on your knees or just on your knees!'

Pretty much my exact sentiments. I do think the central concept is kind of interesting, some strong Phillip K. Dick overtones, let's see how it's handled. But... Dushku? Why? She was quite possibly the single weakest recurring cast member on Buffy, all too often just coming off as phony and insincere (the actress, not the character). Plus, can anyone point out anything non-Joss she's ever done which was any good at all? Its a shame Summer Glau was busy because she would have been perfect for this show. Dushku? Whedon has said he wanted to save her from B movie hell, so maybe he just wanted to help her out. Its not so much that she's a bad actress but she just seems miscast.

It's the lead in for 24. So, you know if it start's dragging down Jack Bauer's ratings, its gone. That was why drive got canned so early.

How exactly is the director of saw 2, 3 and 4 going to direct a piece fit for network tv?
-
So, the ban on gay marraige in california was lifted today. Which means the republicans are almost certainly going to use this as a wedge issue in the election (like in 2004). I almost wish Rudy had won the nomination now. He was the one republican who couldn't talk about the sanctity of marraige.

Did Edwards get his jet ski?

I'm skeptical because of how heavily censored these episodes are going to be. At least compared to the ones on showtime.

US networks announce Fall schedule

Considering who was on the team, Bionic woman should have been way better. The pilot script was crap and a bland lead actress didn't help. -

And I'm one of the minority here that's always hated Keibler; I even had an anti-Keibler avatar for a little while... you're not making me feel any better... If its any consolation her post wwe career has been a disaster and she's now reduced to paying to get into all the pr events in the hopes some producer will notice her. Seriously, if she'd stuck with wwe at least she'd still have a regular wage and be on tv every week. -

This time next year we'll probably see Dollhouse on the 'cancelled' list. And then Joss Whedon will remember why he vowed to never work with fox again after firefly. -

Every show stacy keibler is in gets cancelled (what about brian, George lopez, Octover road). The woman is cursed. -
Obama wouldn't have been able to even get his foot in the door if she had voted no, though. So, I think that was her biggest mistake in hindsight because it gave him an opening. She would probably be the nominee if she'd voted no. Ironically, it was likely she only voted yes because she thought voting no would wreck her chances at the presidency.

The director originally wanted Hulk Hogan to play Mr Freeze in Batman and Robin. So, yes, it could have been worse.

I really don't like what they've done with Baltar now.

I think before anyone gets to vote in the GE they should answer these basic questions... Is Obama a Muslim? a) yes b) no Does Mccain have a black lovechild? a) yes b)no Is a flag pin the biggest issue in this election? a) yes b) no If they don't get those questions right, they don't get to vote...

You spoke too soon...

Not necessarily. That's four years down the road, anyway. She's probably at the end of the line with this one, but she tried her best. I'm not going to condemn her for being extremely driven in her quest to win the presidency. Would it be preferable to say she could take it or leave it? I'll never get this attack on her. Perhaps posturing as a messiah figure would've been a better approach. Worked for the other guy. By that thinking everyone should admire Tonya Harding because she was willing to do anything to win as well. Wanting it isn't bad. Everyone involved wants it. But being willing to tear apart your own party to get it? Even Mitt Romney knew when to what was best for his party. And now she sounds like George Wallace 2008.

I think Hillary's unhinged behaviour has probably cost her her senate seat now. I saw a clip of the daily show, and Stewart played that interview of her talking about 'hard working, white Americans' and the audience went totally quiet and even Stewart seemed a bit shocked about it. She doesn't even seem to realise the damage she's doing to her politcal future. Has anyone ever been more obsessed with being president than that woman?

Amusingly, Laura Bush has been very critical of their governments response to this disaster.

Hillary said she wants another debate with Obama in Oregon.
