Jill Jarrett, the wife of Jeff, passed away last night. While we don't have a lot of details, she had been battling cancer on-and-off for many years and her health issues had gotten worse over the past two months. For the past many weeks, Jeff had been by her side virtually 24/7. When she was hospitalized, he had been practically living in the hospital, and when he had to do TVs, he would stay with her as long as possible, they fly from Nashville or Orlando, do his segments early, and then he would rush back that night. While most in TNA were aware of her situation to a degree and could readily see what was happening, he only talked in detail to a few people, such as Don West, hence some of West's comments on the air on television. I think some could see this, but the first interview Jeff did on the air when he came back was very emotional for him, for Mike Tenay conducting it and for West at the desk. Jeff has young children and being someone in that same situation, I could only imagine what he's been going through during this ordeal. I simply couldn't imagine anything that could be worse. We send our deepest sympathies to Jeff and his children. wo.com yeah, that's a guy who doesn't care.

That last scene kind of indicated Jack had given up trying a relationship with anyone because he's knows it'll just endanger them (three of them are dead, one has gone crazy). So, hopefully his love life won't be taking up much time next season and he'll be all business.

I don't think Paltrow deserved to be nominated, never mind winning. She's not that great in Shakespeare in Love in all honesty. I'm not sure why she got all that acclaim for a fairly average performance.
-
I doubt Jeff really cares much about winning the title at this moment in time.
-
Arrested development: I think Michael Cera should have been nominated at least once.

As far as the drug bust is concerned: What happened to RVD could have happened to anyone. I bet if you stopped any wwe wrestler and searched their car, there's a good chance you'd find something illegal.

Shows Worthy of Cancellation
Atticus Chaos replied to milliondollarchamp's topic in Television & Film
Interestingly, both the shows Stacy Keibler had her first real acting jobs in have been cancelled (Lopez, what about Brian). I'm not sure where she goes from here: since she did have that deal with ABC, but she doesn't seem to be starring in any pilots this year. I'd say one or two of the CSI shows are expendable. -
Paris Hilton going to jail (for 3 days)
Atticus Chaos replied to Atticus Chaos's topic in Television & Film
FREE PARIS! http://www.ipetitions.com/petition/PH21781/index.html The Honorable Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger Paris Whitney Hilton is an American celebrity and socialite. She is an heiress to a share of the Hilton Hotel fortune, as well as to the real estate fortune of her father Richard Hilton. She provides hope for young people all over the U.S. and the world. She provides beauty and excitement to (most of) our otherwise mundane lives. Hilton is notable for her leading roles on the FOX reality series The Simple Life and in the remake of the Vincent Price horror classic "House of Wax". In addition to her work as an actress, she has achieved some recognition as a model, celebrity spokesperson, singer, and writer. As most of America now knows, Ms. Hilton was just charged in a Los Angeles court with DUI and sentenced to 45 days in Century Regional Detention Facility in California beginning on or before June 5, 2007. We, the American public who support Paris, are shocked, dismayed and appalled by how Paris has been the person to be used as an example that Drunk Driving is wrong. We do not support drunk driving or DUI charges. Paris should have been sober. But she shouldn't go to jail, either. As depicted on Friday night's episode "Nancy Grace" on Headline News (May 4, 2007), countless celebrities have been "slapped on the wrist" for similar incidents recently. Nick Nolte, Mel Gibson, Tracy Morgan, Wynonna Judd, to name a few, were arrested and never did a day in jail after their initial arrests for drunk driving /DUI /DWI charges. Rappers Busta Rhymes and Eve still walk free after both being arrested for the same charges as Ms. Hilton just this past week. Brandy's California Highway accident, although no proof of DUI was evidenced in her accident, resulting in the death of a young wife and mother in California, yet Brandy walks free as of today, never doing any time and A WOMAN HAS BEEN KILLED most likely due to her reckless driving! Yet, Paris Hilton did not hurt, injure, or kill anyone or anything, and yet she must do jail time. This petition is to ask Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger to pardon Paris Hilton for her mistake. Please allow her to her return to her career and life. Everyone makes mistakes. She didn't hurt or kill anyone, and she has learned her lesson. She is sincere, apologetic, and full of regret for her actions as she explained tearfully to the Judge handling her case in court yesterday. She is distraught and understandably afraid. WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT to save our Paris from ending up at the Century Regional Detention Facility! Please sign to tell The Honorable Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger of the State of California, to think about the welfare of this young woman who has made a mortal error and deserves a second chance like so many others in our great nation have been served with after a mistake they have made . If the late Former President Gerald Ford could find it in his heart to pardon the late Former President Richard Nixon after his mistake(s), we undeniably support Paris Hilton being pardoned for her honest mistake as well, and we hope and expect The Governor will understand and grant this unusual but important request in good faith to Ms. Paris Whitney Hilton. Yeah, free Paris so she can lighten up our otherwise mundane lives. -
How could he be 'unfit to perform' if he actually did perform at all the house shows prior to his being sent home?

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that Rob Van Dam will work his final WWE match at the “One Night Stand” PPV in June. While WWE made a decision several months ago to actively attempt to re-sign the wrestler, the two parties ultimately could not come to terms. Sources say WWE’s denial of Van Dam’s request for a post-signing hiatus was a big factor in the contractual breakdown. Although WWE wanted Van Dam on board, it did not want to set a precedent of allowing wrestlers to bargain for time off during contract negotiations.

I agree that the Core is great.

CHAW-LAY!!! She's not my favourite character either. But, she's there and you might as well use her somehow. And she's not as annoying as Kate. And, as much as I'd love it to be the Sawyer/Hurley/Jin/Charlie show it is an ensamble and you should try and use your cast.
-
Broken Arrow: I don't think it's considered a really terrible film by anyone, but it's not that well known. John Travolta heels it up nicely. And apart from heathers, it's the best thing Christian Slater's ever done.

You mean Nikki and Paulo who are now dead? Yeah, but why even waste all that time on them if you were just going to kill them off? What did it accomplish in the long run? You could have given Sayid another storyline or given Claire a bit more to do (honestly, apart from all that stuff with the birds, she's done nothing this season.) Instead, they're concentrating on 2 characters the audience hates, who are getting killed off anyway and won't add anything, and probably making some of the cast, who already feel underused, even more disgruntled.
-
I'm hoping if they cut down the cast, they won't feel the need to instantly add more new characters. Claire, Sayid, Jin...etc havn't had that much air time given to them this season, all so the writers can concentrate on great new characters like Nikki and Paulo.
-
Sayid and Hurley are the characters the audience live through: they're the ones that inject some common sense into the proceedings, and ask the questions ordinary people would if they were in that situation. I think if you killed off either of them the show would really lose something.

Latest observer said RVD will be taken off tv after the ONS PPV.
-
the fuck? Well, Bret Easton Ellis wasn't really a seriel killer and I doubt JR Tolkien knew any hobbits...It's artistic license. I'm sure Foley will do all the neccessary research.

It seems Mick Foley has signed on to star in WWE's first made-for-TV movie. He also has a reality TV show pilot in the works with A&E and is planning to write a novel about a black woman growing up in the '50s. The Make-a-Wish deal with WWE was a one-off and started with the charity approaching WWE. wrestling observer newsletter

I always thought Cooper being the real Sawyer was a little too obvious and maybe a red herring. I thought maybe Bernard or even Locke as Sawyer would have been a nice twist.

Just checked at the Fuselage, the guy has posted more info on tonight's episode and how it will affect the finale So, if that happens in "the brig" then safe to say, the rest of his spoilers are reliable.

He might evil, crazed and ruthless, but President Sylar would probably be an improvement on what we have now. You bet he could win the war on terror!

They also said Michelle Rodruguez and Cynthia Watros wouldn't be getting written off in season 2.
