Yeah, I think the Wings will be fine, they just need to start out better in Game 4. On another note, I'm really glad to see Ozzie doing well in these playoffs. He's always been one of my favorite Wings and felt he was underappreciated.

Well, based on those released tapes, the whole Hogan family (save Brooke I guess) is looking like a bunch of assholes.

I'm gonna go with a couple of guys who played with each other briefly and are also still alive in this year's playoffs. Sam Cassell 2004 NBA All-Star 2004 All-NBA 2nd Team Great leader and a guy who's definitely not afraid to take a big shot. Contributed on the Rockets' 2 championship teams, helped lead the Bucks to one game away from the NBA Finals, the T-Wolves to the Western Conference Finals, and the Clippers to one game away from the West Finals. Michael Finley 1996 All-NBA Rookie 1st Team 2-Time NBA All-Star He can play SG or SF, plus he gives me another good 3-pt shooter.

I've got to get in on this. Sign me up.

And there goes my next pick... (although I have a sneaky suspicion that 909 would've taken him one spot before me anyways)

Where THE THREAD happens Where DECLASSIFIED: happens (whatever the fuck that means, cuz I wasn't here then)

Tigers waste a good pitching performance for the 2nd day in a row to the Angels. It's still a little early, but things don't seem to be getting any better with this team.

I'm sure the Pistons have their own collection in some boxes in the back but there's no reason to have them out on store racks already. And you know the refs weren't gonna make that call whether he got fouled or not.

Yeah, I stopped caring a long time ago. Detroit ended up winning a title so it's all good; maybe the Pistons wouldn't have got 'Sheed if they picked someone else. And I agree that Wade or Bosh would've been better fits (with Bosh being my ideal choice). Besides, the Darko pick (through trades and all that jazz) eventually turned into Rodney Stuckey so at least some good came out of that pick.

Yep, definitely get Wrestlemania 21.

I really didn't get the full high school experience like I should have. Most of that can be attributed to the fact that I was a loner (and still am to a certain degree). I got along with pretty much everyone but had no relationships outside of class, sports, band, etc...I never went out the weekends, only went to one Homecoming and Sadies each (both freshman year, both alone), and didn't go to Prom. I was WAY to shy to even think about talking to girls beyond a superficial level. I was also a slacker in H.S.; I always had high standardized test scores, but my grades weren't nearly as high cuz I was so fucking lazy. Sports went well for me though; I had my fair share of awards and accomplishments. Overall, high school wasn't all that bad for me, but I was ready to get on outta there.

Man, this draft has slowed to a halt...almost one full day without any picks.

I'll be in as The Xtreme Dream Team.

DANICA ANGRY!!!

Drank this stuff at many a youth soccer game. It was the only sports drink to my knowledge that was carbonated (until it's formula changed). Gatorade was still my main choice but I actually knew about All-Sport before Powerade. I don't know if it's still around, but I haven't seen it in years. And I don't have any recollection of the other Mello Yello versions (maybe the melon, but vaugely at best).

A couple players off those great Islanders' teams in the 80's have gone off the board, so I'll go ahead and take another one: Bryan Trottier

That, and the Pistons in general being a Jekyll & Hyde type team. I've never been one to assume things based on past events (i.e., if Boston can't win in Atlanta and Cleveland, surely they can't win in Detroit). Boston is good enough to win a road game, they just haven't done it. Of course I think Detroit will still win the series, but they could still screw it up ("Bad 'Sheed" could make a reappearance, Chauncey's hammy could flare up again, Rip could have one of those nights where he focuses more on drawing fouls than making shots, etc...). Looks like Mr. Hyde has reared his ugly head tonight...

I got in wrestling much later than the rest of you guys. I watched it off and on through the 90's (mainly WCW) but I didn't become a regular fan until around the time I turned 13, in October 2000 (mainly WWF). WWF Champion-Kurt Angle IC-Eddie Guerrero European-William Regal Tag Team-Hardyz Women's-Lita Hardcore-Steve Blackman Light-Heavyweight-Dean Malenko BTW, this coincided with Raw's move to TNN. Angle had just won his 1st major title, the Hardyz/E&C had a ladder match (which was the start of me becoming a huge Hardyz/Lita fan) and the Radicalz had a couple champions.

Meh...some iffy calls going on here. Kronwall with a couple nice hits early on though.
-
I strongly considered Brown as coach, especially since he preaches good defense, but I had concerns about him clashing with the younger players ('Melo and Amare in particular).

Man, my potential picks just keep going left and right (Marion being the latest). Anyways, I'm gonna go with a guy who can give me some more scoring at the 3 spot. Carmelo Anthony 2004 All-NBA Rookie 1st Team 2-time NBA All-Star 2-time All-NBA 3rd Team 'Melo isn't much of a defensive player like others on my team, but I need scorers and I felt he was too great a talent to pass up this late in the draft. I do need a true outside shooter though, so let's go with... Jeff Hornacek 1992 NBA All-Star 21st in all-time 3-PT shooting percentage 12th in all-time FT shooting percentage 17th in all-time Offensive Rating One of 20 guys to have 15,000 points and 5,000 assists Not the most athletic guy, but "Horny" definitely got the most out of his abilities, and at his peak in '92, was a 20, 5, 5, and 2 (steals) player.

Don't the Bucs already have enough old WR's?
-
Just to be clear, I meant the withdrawn, disinterested, aloof version of Greg we saw early on, not the asshole, arrogant, prankster type that's been more prominent lately.
