Pretty much the same deal with me. Great night to be a Detroit sports fans with the Wings/Pistons closing out series and the Tigs sweeping the Yanks.

Calhoun's been hobbled with knee injuries since he's been in the league. He only played in 4 games last year and 7 the year before. Plus, he hasn't really shown he can be a legit player on offense or special teams when he's played.

Actually, most Detroit fans would love to see BOTH Bell and Calhoun gone (Calhoun has basicaly done nothing in his time with the Lions; I'd rather have Bell than Pinner but most fans can't stand him). Pinner is nothing special but his signing pretty much ensures that either Bell or Calhoun is out (remember, they have Aveion Cason as well). Also, they drafted Jerome Felton who should be a great short-yardage option.

I'm kinda the same way. I can do a 600 max squat and 650 max deadlift but only like a 280 max bench or so (and I can't do that much on cleans either). I've never had great upper-body strength. People always thought I was super-strong though cuz I had that "raw" strength while playing sports; I just never had great "weight-room" strength.

I'm not high on Jones but Duckett actually performed really well with the Lions last season. Plus they have Maurice Morris and they could still draft a guy like Jonathan Stewart. Maybe they could be like the Giants, a team who rolled out 4 different RB's at different points in the season. Alexander looks done at this point.

Jake Long signing with the Dolphins was mentioned in the other NFL thread but that news is probably more relevant here. I think the Rams should take Chris Long to play on the outside of the D-line, since Adam Carriker is more of an inside player at this point, but it sounds like they may take Glenn Dorsey. They need a pass rusher badly.
