Mike Hart became Michigan's all-time leading rusher today, passing Anthony Thomas. Good for him, I hope he gets his due at the end of the year cuz he's had such a great career. Maybe if UM keeps winning, he can at least get some Heisman consideration.

It could be worse... You could have Iowa/Penn State EDIT: Well FSU/NC St. is on ESPN 2 so I get to see both games that aren't Oklahoma/Texas...lucky me

I've won already sweet

If I was betting my life on it, I'd probably have to go with the Redskins. I think Detroit has a good shot to win though. I'm hoping that this is the game where they finally put it all together. Even in their wins, they've made quite a few mistakes (red-zone turnovers, poor tackling, bad return/coverage units, too many sacks given up). Listening to some of the players and coaches' comments, they also seem to be playing the "no respect" card so maybe that'll help.

Wouldn't walking Manny have loaded the bases as well? That would just throw K-Rod from the frying pan to the fire. I don't think anything will come from this, but boy, Manny sure did take a long look at that HR.

Well...this helps Detroit when they play Denver later in the year. If he's out that long that is.

Not that I care, but this could've gone in the NFL thread.

Well I think this next game at Washington will be a good indicator of whether Detroit can reach 10 wins or not. Detroit has never won there plus they've been horrible on the road in the Millen era so this would be a huge win. At the very least, I'm hoping they can stay competitive, unlike what happened at Philly. Looking at the remaining schedule, the only teams that look great right now are Green Bay and Dallas. Tampa looks good but they just lost two important players for the season. It'll help that the Lions are getting Calvin Johnson back.

It's ridiculous the balls that Vlad can hit (or even merely foul off).

When has Andy Reid ever ran the ball more? But I agree with you that McNabb wasn't all at fault. Why wasn't a TE or even a RB held back to block since Umenyiora was just blasting through? You can't say it's because of Reid's offense since Holmgren runs the same type and consistently Mack Strong will be held back to block. I think Reid ran more last year when Jeff Garcia took over at QB.

What did the Rockies ever do to you?
-
The funny thing is, Colorado was probably glad to see Hoffman out there. Some of those relievers that San Diego was throwing out there, the Rockies had no chance against.
-
It only took a couple pitches from Julio to realize that the Rockies were doomed. This game might've been over anyways if Holliday hadn't misplayed that ball in the 8th.

There are no guarantees in a rivalry game, especially one like Michigan/Ohio State. I've seen and heard about plenty of promising Buckeye seasons that went up in smoke to the Wolverines ('93, '95, and '96 to name a few). I know Tressel has owned Carr but if I were the Buckeyes, I wouldn't get too cocky coming into the Big House on Nov. 17th
-
The way this season's gone, I would be pretty surprised if anyone went undefeated this year. That would just create a nightmare for the BCS.

Florida?

I heard on ESPN Radio that apparently a backup freshman safety from Michigan was inelligible (according to Big Ten rules and NOT NCAA rules...some type of freshman elligibility technicality that the AD missed) and that they may have to forfeit their win against Penn St. because he played in that game...
-
I don't know where you're at but Michigan has that same 35-point running clock rule.
-
Not to mention he seems to be fully incapable of firing one Matthew George Millen.
