Agreed. No wonder they call him SCREAMIN' A. Smith.

So...how about the U.S. women's soccer coach blowing it by switching goalies? It was pretty funny watching Hope Solo throw her coach and teammate under the bus after the game. Although, judging by the way the game went, it probably wouldn't have made a difference.

Well yeah, cuz Detroit's pitchers couldn't throw the ball to first base...and the Tigers were falling apart down the stretch themselves last year and proceeded to beat the "unbeatable" Yankees. Anyways, it should be interesting seeing the NL play out.
-
Yeah this is a great CD. Interesting that it's not a "Parental Advisory" disc but it doesn't make a difference to me.

Just watching the National League makes me even more pissed that Detroit tanked in the 2nd half. They're probably no worse than the 5th best team in MLB and they'll be sitting at home in October while a handful of NL teams shit the bed against cellar-dwellers and are still in the playoff hunt. Isn't baseball great?

Cuban survives!!!

And...IT'S ON!!!!!

He's facing the Lions' secondary.

Harley Quinn- Regarding Grand Valley State University, I played (or more accurately, rode the pine) 1 year on a team in their conference and played against some of their players in high school so I'm pretty familar with them. As the most dominant team in D-II the past several years (and I'm reasonably sure you're familiar with them), how would you see them stacking up against FCS teams?

And it just gets worse for the Saints...Deuce has a torn ACL per SportsCenter.

This ain't the Pac-10 Reggie.

The good thing for the Chargers is that Denver doesn't look all that great, and we already know about K.C. and Oakland, so I still think they'll make the playoffs. They may not win a game in the playoffs, but hey, that wouldn't be any different than when Marty was there.

Can't believe no one's mentioned the Milton Bradley/ump deal yet.

So...is Lovie FINALLY gonna pull the plug on Rex? As a Lions fan, I don't know whether to hope for Rex or Griese to play next week.
-
And Barber just wins the game for my NFL.com opponent (who also had McNabb) this week. Damn you Julius Jones.
-
He knew he was facing the Lions' secondary.
-
My high school's rival pulled that same play a couple years ago.

Jovorskie Lane looked pretty pissed on the sidelines last night. 2 carries for 2 yards in a 17-point loss will do that to you. I was looking forward to seeing him run but oh well.

2nd in the AL in slugging this year You're right about that; I've just been listening to too many Detroit fans complain about the reduced number of HR's from LF, 3B, and 1B compared to last year. Still, I wouldn't have a problem with Bonds on the team if he's a good fit baseball-wise.
-
I'm not as down on Bonds as most; I wouldn't mind seeing him in Detroit. They did bring in Sheff this year to fill the DH role but he got banged up and overall there was still a lack of power on the team this year despite the number of runs scored.

Another Rock movie plus a few other familiar faces. Trailer

Yeah I saw that, and while I normally like Wilbon, he was way off base with that one.
