I wasn't intending to but... The point I'm trying to make is that people who were closer to Hancock probably see him in a different light than you guys do. I don't care what you guys think of him. I'm just stating a probable reason why the Cardinals organization is likely to honor him in some way and why athletes are usually portrayed in the media in a more positive light right after they die regardless of what the circumstances are.

I agree that Hancock was being an idiot and could've hurt someone else. Still, I don't think his family, friends, and the Cardinals would appreciate it if he was portrayed in the media as a piece of shit and that he deserved to die. I'm sure that the Josh Hancock they knew was not a bad person, just a good guy who made a huge mistake.

You know, I'm tired of all this "how will Tony Romo recover from botching the snap in the playoffs" shit. Come one, it's not as if he lost the game while playing the QB position. It'd be one thing if he threw a costly interception or something like that. If he struggles this season, it'll either be because other teams have figured him out, or because he wasn't that great to begin with.

Some might say that Dallas didn't respect their oppnent enough, that they overlooked them. It's probably more a case of Dallas giving Golden State TOO much respect. Like someone said before, with Avery changing the lineup and other such things, they let the Warriors dictate the flow of the series. I saw someone on T.V. even suggest that Dallas rested their starters in that last G.S. for fear of losing to them and giving them more confidence. This probably should've been a situation where the Mavs said "OK, we're a 67-win team and you're nothing to us."

That's the point I was trying to make about 'Melo's postseason performances. Of course I didn't expect them to beat the Spurs but I would like to see something that indicates they can make it farther in the next couple years. After too long, it will become a T-Mac or KG situation where it takes forever to get out the 1st round.

You know, I'm tired of this bullshit about the Patriots fans "selling their souls" and "throwing away their ethics and values just cuz Moss is on their team." (and I'm not even a Patriots fan) First McMullan says it on ATH, then Shaugnessy writes about it the paper, then Cowherd says it on his show. 1. The Pats gave up next to nothing to get Moss and they can easily get rid of him if he doesn't get the job done. 2. I think most Pats fans realize this, which is why they're more accepting of Moss. 3. What the fuck does ethics and values have to do with anything? These people aren't condoning Moss' past actions. They know that this is a low-risk high-reward situation and they can live with that. I mean come on, these people are acting like Pats fans are all of a sudden bad people and have changed their own personal beliefs just cuz they're willing to give Moss a chance.

It is sort of tough to win a series when you are not on the better team. Wade and James have had homecourt and that makes a big difference. True, but at least he should be showing some progression right now. Denver has lost the last three 1st-round series in 5 games and it looks like this one will end in 5 as well. They didn't have home-court last year against the Clippers but they were the #3 seed and I believe should've at least given them a better series. Same goes for this year.

I know it's still early in his career but it might be time to start wondering about 'Melo's ability to win in the playoffs. Especially when Wade has a ring and LeBron's advancing in the playoffs with arguably a lesser set of teammates. Granted, the West is much tougher but this is 4 straight years now.

Well most of the analysts seem to like the Lions pick so take it as you will...I really can't dog Millen too much for taking the consensus #1 player and Stanton could turn out to be the future franchise QB. What I do have a major issue with is the last 2 picks. I kinda like Francis, Alexander, not quite so much. The beef I have with those picks though is that they traded up to get them when they certainly would've been available later on. I've seen Alexander projected anywhere from the 5th to the 7th round. They still need to find a MLB and a CB. They could've gotten Hughes out of Cal.
