ECP Show #1 Show opens at 9, no opening, with crowd shots, close-up on various signs, including several badmouthing the WWE, HHH, Cena. At the announce table, Styles and JBL welcome everyone to the first ever broadcast of Elite Combat Project, live on FX, from Miami. Crowd is hot. Styles says the new league will have wrestlers of all types, but will focus on bringing to the viewers at home and to live events, "the best athletes in the world." He adds some of the most famous names in wrestling history will be among those wrestling for ECP. Styles says the opening match is for the tag belts, and the main event, Randy Savage vs Roddy Piper, is for the heavyweight title. JBL is excited to be here, and says any wrestling organization needs champions. He explains the wrestlers who've accomplished the most, besides him, were chosen to fight for the belts tonight. (2:00) Opening match for the tag belts, and we hear the music of the British Bulldogs. Crowd erupts, as it's the first teamup of Davey Boy Smith and the Dynamite Kid in years. Styles says the two had some "serious issues" but everything appears to be alright now. After the cheering dies down, Booker T comes to the ring with his traditional music, followed by Ricky Morton to his old "Rock and Roll is King." Morton grabs the mic and says Robert Gibson couldn't make it tonight, he wanted to team with his old buddy but Gibson is under contract to somebody else. Booker says Stevie Ray is busy training new champs, but he respects everything Ricky Morton has done. Booker says they're gonna kick some Bulldog ass, and if Matilda was here, he'd kick her fleabitten ass, too. Crowd gives the new team a good cheer, but the Bulldogs are the slight fan favorites. Despite Booker's confidence, the Bulldogs have too much experience as a team. Morton takes a pounding but kicks out from a diving headbut from Dynamite. Morton moves out of the way from a Davey Boy splash into the corner and gets the hot tag. Crowd gets going for Booker as he roughs up both opponents and Davey Boy gets the worst of it when Booker runs their heads together. Morton jumps in without the tag and dropkicks Dynamite out of the ring, meanwhile Booker does the spinarooni. Morton jumps back out and doesn't understand why Booker did the spin instead of finishing Davey Boy off, and the recovered Bulldog belly suplexes out of a bookend attempt. Dynamite cuts Morton off from making the save, and the Bulldog's power slam finishes the match giving the Englishmen the belts. After the match Morton is a little aggravated, but shakes Booker's hand and says this was a good start for their team. Styles said they should get a rematch quickly but he doesn't make those decisions. (13:00 counting entrances and prematch talk by Morton). Commercials (3:00) Back from the break and in a locker room area, where interviewer Maria introduces herself, then introduces her guest Stevie Richards. Richards said he's been a follower wherever he's been. Maria asks what about when he wore a white shirt and got the pimp to change his ways, and Richards says he didn't believe in that, he had to do it "because he was broke." He said he's glad to be in ECP because everyone is starting off as equals and everybody gets an equal chance. He hopes to get a title shot at whoever wins the belt, but he's cut off as he sees Raven walking toward him and Maria. Richards says he's gotta go and walks off quickly as Raven looks over Maria. He stares at her for 20 seconds and finally just says four words, "I can see it." JBL in a voiceover asks "Who invited Scotty Flamingo," and Styles says softly maybe he shouldn't have said that. (3:00) Styles tells the viewers even with champions being crowned tonight, the other matches will all help determined lists of contenders. He said there will be no throwaway matches in ECP, rankings will be produced and shown to viewers starting in a few weeks. The loser of the heavyweight title match tonight will wrestle next week against another top star, for the TV title. (1:00) In the ring, and Howard Finkel introduces the participants for the next match, Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin. Neither gets a huge reaction from the crowd, but put on a great match that gets the crowd going quickly. Crossbody by Sabin to Shelley on the floor gets the first OMG from Styles. JBL says he's impressed by both young men, but says too much risk taking will lead to losses against the veterans in this league. Match goes to a 15:00 draw, and crowd shows appreciation for great efforts by both men. (16:30 counting introductions). JBL said he's told if the horndogs at home want another look at Maria, they should stick around after commercials. Commercials (3:00) Back from the break, with Bobby Heenan and his Family in the back. Heenan tells Maria he's always worked with intelligent, trustworthy, honorable wrestlers, and that's why he went out and signed the Barbarian, Warlord and Giant Gonzales. Maria says she knows she's no Alberto Einstein, but this group doesn't look too intelligent, trustworthy and honorable to her. Heenan laughs and just says they're misunderstood, and he can make them champions and help them with their finances while doing so. He says the Bolldogs can't match the power of the Barbarian and Warlord, and he won't miss out on another chance to lead a giant to the top prize in the sport. The trio grunt and growl. (2:00) To the announce table and Styles gives more information on the top athletes signed. He says amateur wrestlers have been among the top stars ever in pro wrestling, and says Ric Flair, the Briscos and Bob Backlund are just some of the examples. Clips of Shelton Benjamin, then Kurt Angle, wrestling in amateur matches are shown. Styles says each is working hard to adapt to the professional style and will be debuting soon. (2:30) Howard Finkel announces the next match, and a massive wrestler with smoking headgear stalks to the ring. JBL says he never expected Big Van Vader to leave Japan where he'd been dominating for years, but says raw fish and girls that all look the same has to get old eventually. Styles reminds everyone any complaint letters should be sent to John Bradshaw Layfield, but agrees Vader is awesome. He adds Vader has not wrestled in the US since his old AWA days, and says Vader was also an amatuer wrestler and played in the NFL. JBL says enjoys football as much as anybody but for Styles not to "get hard" over anybody just because they have a football background. Vader's long entrance is completed by now, and his opponent Brad Armstrong is introduced. He gets a decent reaction. Styles says Armstrong has been a tag champ and singles champ, and that Brad doesn't believe in curses. None of that matters in this match though, Vader's power is overwhelming. Armstrong is half unconscious after hard punches and forearms while backed into the corner but Vader continues his assault. Styles says the ref should consider stopping the match but JBL says Vader is sending a message out to everyone tonight. More brutality and the ref calls for the bell as Armstrong can't defend himself. Vader takes the mic from Finkel after the match and says everyone can expect the same kind of treatment. He's here to beat people up and cause pain, and he's also got a surprise for everybody. (6:30, with introductions and Vader's postmatch talking). Commercials (5:00) Top of the hour, and more clips of ECP talent are shown. Styles says wrestlers competing in Mexico are among the most exciting in the world, and we see video of Eddy Guerrero and Rey Mysterio Jr. JBL says he doesn't like Mexicans and Styles tries to explain these two are American citizens, but JBL ignores the explanation. He does say they're great athletes. (3:00) Next match, and Finkel introduces Ken Shamrock who gets a big pop. In the corner interview box shown while Shamrock gets in the ring, Shamrock says he backs down from nobody, and won't no matter who he's facing in this, his first pro wrestling match. Shamrock's opponent is another tough SOB, JBL says, Fit Finlay. Finaly really gets on a fan who asks where's the Leprechaun and says he doesn't need that bullshit (bleeped). In the ring, and the match is hard hitting. Shamrock tries takedowns and goes for an ankle lock, but Finley doesn't fall victim to it. They end up brawling outside the ring and Shamrock gets a slight advantage before the ref calls for a double countout. Shamrock is close to "snapping" Styles says, and JBL says he knows Finlay will be eager to get into the ring again with Shamrock. (9:00 counting intros and after match brawling). Commercials (3:00) Back from the break, and back to the locker room area. Paul Heyman is talking to Maria now, and really giving her the eye. Maria doesn't even seem to notice. Heyman said he was a manager before he owned a wrestling company and breaking portable telephones is not hip these days but managing men to championship belts is. He brings in his new Dangerous Alliance: Barry Windham, Brian Lee, Sean O'Haire, Evan Karagious and Madusa. Heyman says the group will take every belt in the ECP: The TV title, the tag belts and the cruiserweight title for Karagious. Maria says she didn't know there was an ECP cruiser title, but she's learning more and more everyday. Heyman gives a perv smile and says he still has some power and there will be a cruiser title. Maria said he left out the heavyweight title and Heyman answers "Oh, yeah, I forgot, the heavyweight champ: here he comes" and into the scene walks Vader. Maria is very scared and even the other Alliance members seem a little nervous around Vader. (4:00) Tag match next, and Finkel introduces O'Haire and Lee, then Kensuke Sasaki and Tajiri. The Japanese wrestlers control most of the match, and are the clear fan favorites. JBL says he doesn't like Heyman but he'll root for his team over a pair of "Japs" anyday. Styles again says any complaints should be addressed to John Bradshaw Layfield, and JBL really gets on his case acting like such a wimp. End of the match and Tajiri uses the mist on O'Haire, setting JBL off. He gets up and tells the ref what happen, ref is distracted, and Heyman actually does use the phone and cracks Sasaki in the head. Big boot to the skull by Lee as Sasaki stumbles to his feet, and the Alliance gets the win. Outside the ring, JBL still stands and is proud of himself, when he's attacked from behind by Raven and Stevie Richards. Both wrestlers beat JBL with chairs repeatedly until they're run off by security. JBL is a crimson mask. Raven says everyone gets what's coming to them eventually, JBL's fate was just far sooner then anyone knew. (11:00 counting introductions and JBL beatdown). Commercial (3:00) Back from the break and Raven is sitting at the announce table with Styles. Styles is very lowkey. Raven says JBL is unavailable and they needed a color man so what about him? Styles says it's okay, if they'll just focus on the match (1:00) Finkel makes the introductions and both Roddy Piper and Randy Savage get huge pops. Both are in face mode, with Savage helping open the ring ropes for Miss Elizabeth and Piper getting some cheap heat from the Miami crowd by bashing former Dolphin coach Nick Sabin. Once the match starts, both start to roughhouse but it never gets completely dirty. Both men are in excellent shape and Savage starts to get frustrated that he can't get complete control. End comes when Piper misses a clothesline, Savage nails one and Savage tries the elbow from the top rope. Piper had been playing possum and gets the sleeper, weakening Savage. Another missed move by Savage and Elizabeth looks worried. She should be, as Piper gets a clean pin with a school boy to win the belt. Styles is more excited by now, even with Raven sitting by him. After the match, Savage reaches out to shake hands. Piper is reluctant and rightfully so, but they do shake. Into the ring though come Vader, Windham, Courageous, Heyman and Madusa. The three wrestlers do a number on the worn down Piper and Savage, while Heyman taunts them and Madusa holds Elizabeth. Vader is loud enough without a mic to say he told everyone he was here to cause pain and he'll show what he means right now. He grabs Elizabeth from Madusa and bearhugs her at first, then gives her the power bomb! Crowd is fucking pissed and a fan tries to storm the ring but is stopped by security. Styles gives an almost whispering OMG and Raven says "That was nice." EMTs rush into the ring as the Alliance leaves. Piper and Savage check on Elizabeth at first then Savage tells Piper to take care of her. He begins to head toward the back as the show ends. (26:00, counting introductions, match, Alliance run-in and everything after).

Lol, Nicole Bass. I'd not even thought of her in years, thanks for bringing that up. It's a little awkward for me to use wrestlers that have passed or are crippled, but this is a good way to show what we think about them and it's all fun anyway. I'll have to work to make mine different than the other I started.
-
Are you planning on running a whole new list of wrestlers? I was a little stumped on what to do with some of those, lol. I'll probably start mine again in another post but go with your restart in here.

GA high school has its first racially integrated prom

I thought this was a good discussion by people with different views, not a contest to see who could impress the other posters. There's nothing wrong with not thinking alike. -

Again, he says it shouldn't go specifically to one race. Things like that only keep the divide. And he also hates the term African-American. Yeah, he's a conservative, church-going type, I guess that makes him an idiot, too. Like I said I'm not a really good friend with him but we've discussed those types of things when out golfing, etc. -
The talk around my way is the Falcons should have kept the QB that went to Houston and swapped Vick for whoever was willing to give away the house, picks and current players. It can't be all the receivers fault, though they did have too many drops. A new coach should help things but I think the city is ready to complete turn against Vick. As for the draft, I never was impressed really with the LSU QB, thought the players around him made him look better, but after seeing him in person I believe he will be a franchise type.

GA high school has its first racially integrated prom
Hasbeen1 replied to Dr. Zaius's topic in Current Events
He grew up in a house with around 10 other kids, one parent, and he's making six figures. But he's an idiot. His point is the victim, we're owed because of the past, mentality keeps making generation after generation of underachieving blacks. There are poor students among all races, not just blacks, and most of them didn't have alumni parents. He says money set aside for black students should be set aside for students of any race that need it. Do any of you really think extra benefits based on race are a good idea? If so, there's no more point arguing it. -

Feel like explaining why? -

Hasbeen1 replied to Dr. Zaius's topic in Current Events
Yeah...fuck him for having a problem with the United Negro College Fund. And yeah all that stuff you just named is SO the same. Shadup. Integrated proms with black and white hicks is going to lead to the greatest emails featured bad prom outfits ever. GO FOR IT!!! He feels money, even scholarship money, shouldn't be collected and distributed to a single race. Why "fuck him" for that? -

Hasbeen1 replied to Dr. Zaius's topic in Current Events
Your last word explains why they're not different. I don't see how offering any kind of incentive to an individual race, any segregated housing or educating, should continue or why anyone who really cared about blacks would want that. Keeping the black victim mentality is what keeps the whole race behind. The things mentioned do so, they're saying blacks are owed. -
With all the jokes, what the smarts know about Patterson, who would have ever thought he'd have a match like that with Slaughter.

Hasbeen1 replied to Dr. Zaius's topic in Current Events
I didn't mean I thought all of that up until now was a good thing. I meant before blacks complain about this they should work on ending their own segregating groups and traditions. This sounds like the old "some of my best friends are" but one black man I'm fairly close with though not a good friend totally hates the NAACP, UNCF, any group that just divides as he calls it. He says there's millions out there like him, but they get no voice because of people like Jesse Jackson. -

Yeah, that's much different than black student organizations at colleges, black dorms, primarily or nearly all black colleges, black scholarships and the UNCF. -
Not trying to be a smartass, but with who's on the roster right now, what more could you want?
-
I will probably start mine on a different thread since I got in on it late and didn't really follow the rules. It might be a few more days, I've been trying to be at three different ball parks at the same time.
-
Lol, yeah, you might be the only one. It was a really good match, even if the title didn't change hands.
-
You can never tell when you're going to get a good show, or garbage, that's what pulls me back each week or at least makes me tape it. As for Cena, sure working with Micheals helps, but I think he's pretty much proven he's got what it takes in the ring. There's a lot worse.

Kennesaws crime rate has absolute shit to do with decreasing crime rate. you know where else almost everyone has a gun? In the fucking ghetto where crime rate is through the roof. Crime most likely will be around poor people because poor people are more likely to get desparate and rob, and kill. Plus drug use is higher there because of the poor people selling drugs because they want money, creating a bunch of cracked out psychos. Kennesaw's median income is like 70,000 dollars. And they are way out in west bubble fuck and nobody is driving way out to Kennesaw to rob someon. AND the fucking cops there are ASSHOLES. Like, write you a ticket for not coming to a complete stop and then requesting to check your trunk assholes. AND on top of that, everyone knows that most people in Kennesaw don't have guns. They just did that to be smart asses about some town outlawing guns. Its just some for show law. I guess my point is, blowing Kennesaw is kinda bullshit. "Seven months after it took effect, the residential burglary rate dropped 89%, vs. 10.4% statewide. Crime against persons plummeted 74 percent compared to 1981, and fell another 45 percent in 1983 compared to 1982. And it has stayed impressively low." 20 years ago Kennesaw wasn't nearly the wealthy place it is now. With so many guns around, you'd think there would be more "crimes of passion", disputes where the gunowner shot first and thought later, etc, but maybe not if he knows he might get it first.
-
Anyone thinking more gun ownership, by those allowed under the law to have them, is not a good thing needs to look up Atlanta suburb Kennesaw GA. 'The city's population grew from around 5,000 in 1980 to 13,000 by 1996. In 1982, Kennesaw Georgia passed a law requiring heads of households to keep at least one firearm in their home, exempting those with criminal records or religious objections. Yet, after the law went into effect in 1982, there have been only three murders: two with knives (1984 and 1987) and one with a firearm (1997).Seven months after it took effect, the residential burglary rate dropped 89%, vs. 10.4% statewide. Crime against persons plummeted 74 percent compared to 1981, and fell another 45 percent in 1983 compared to 1982. And it has stayed impressively low. In addition to nearly non-existent homicide, the annual number of armed robberies, residential burglaries, commercial burglaries, and rapes have averaged, respectively, 1.69, 31.63, 19.75, and 2.00 through 1998. With all the attention that has been heaped upon the lawful possession of firearms lately, you would think that a city that requires gun ownership would be the center of a media feeding frenzy. It isn't. The fact is I can't remember a major media outlet even mentioning Kennesaw. Can you? The reason is obvious. Kennesaw proves that the presence of firearms actually improves safety and security. This is not the message that the media want us to hear. They want us to believe that guns are evil and are the cause of violence. The facts tell a different story. What is even more interesting about Kennesaw is that the city's crime rate decreased with the simple knowledge that the entire community was armed. The bad guys didn't force the residents to prove it. Just knowing that residents were armed prompted them to move on to easier targets. Most criminals don't have a death wish. Note in Switzerland, every household must have, by law, a fully automatic machine gun and ammunition. The crime rate is very low there."

What scum. I think it's time for them to have their own "incident." I can see them getting a royal asswhipping for it, this time.
-
Curry can't help himself, I see from reading on here.
-
I think the only ways this could have been stopped would be him changing his mind or changing plans, or one of the students being armed and taking him out. You'd be surprised how many high school students even have protection on their person or within quick access, and how many teachers or staff know of it but allow it because the students are trusted. I know some of you will think that's the worst thing ever but I could care less.
-
I believe I read that's not him, either it was mistaken identity or a pretty pathetic hoax by someone knowing him or knowing of him.
-
Can anybody point out what was bad in his statement?
