The 25th Anniversary of WrestleMania Thread
garfieldsnose replied to DrVenkman PhD's topic in The WWE Folder
No. Not even close. There was a guy who won his eighth title the other night, that guy who got betrayed by his brother a couple of months ago, that guy who beat Cena at Summerslam and Orton at Armageddon clean then got injured, that guy who cut a wicked promo with Piper last night, not to mention they built up others before that but they did various things to ruin it like fail a wellness test, OD on drugs, kill their family, and, worse, go to UFC. Cena and Orton are only the biggest stars they got since the Attitude Era, but not because of a lack of other stars, its because they are that good. I was more implying they haven't introduced new stars since the Attitude era. I should have been more specific. Hardy and Edge have been around for 10+ years so it makes sense that they are where they're at. Nobody can deny Cena and Orton are the only post-Attitude era stars made from scratch. -

Agreed. Orton and Cena are the only guys they've built up since the end of the Attitude era. Pretty sad. -

Edge and Cena always bring the goods, and HHH/Orton looks to have more storyline depth than their last feud. In the last feud, HHH barely looked "mad" and treated Orton almost as lackadaisical as he treated Cena at WM 22. But I think the intensity HHH showed last night (funny mad face or not) and the Orton staredown with him will provide a better buildup to WM in the coming weeks. -

It's funny watching posters who come out of the woodwork only for PPV's or RAW. I don't get these people. They're too busy to come on here every day, but come during a PPV or RAW and think their opinion has come credibility. Bastards.

The 25th Anniversary of WrestleMania Thread

No. They're calling it that and they're not gonna stop because some web nerds need to fulfill their desire to make sure everyone knows it's NOT their 25th anniversary. It's time for everybody to get over it. -
I have to admit, the only change that would seriously make me mark out even if I knew it was coming would be Taker to RAW. Seeing that entrance on one of two nights I watch wrestling (I tape RAW and ECW without commercials because of the overrun) would be awesome. This past RAW I seriously could watch that entrance all over again. Just something about it, I guess going back to my childhood or something.

About time they had it almost directly after WrestleMania. HHH back to RAW!

I have a problem with the ipod I just bought off amazon.com. It's a Classic 30GB 5.5 Generation. I've found the problem I am having all over the internet, but the ways to fix it are not working. I got it today and of course I knew I had to start charging it. I tried turning it on first just to make sure I needed to charge it. I've been charging it almost all night with the "Please Wait Very Low Battery" screen and then it lights up with an ipod help url (which didn't really help), with an ipod with a sad face on it. It's been cycling through this all night. I've tried to reset it to no avail. I hope I didn't just waste $130 on this. Is there anyone who could help me out? I've checked out forums around the internet and it seems as if many people have this this problem but when they say they fixed it, nothing has been working for me. It's worth a shot to try it here, but worst case scenario is I have to buy a new one since a new battery might not even work, let alone be less expensive than a new ipod.

Yeah, I was actually laughing when Okerlund and Jake were making all those dick references.

Christian's Re-debut in WWE has occurred!
garfieldsnose replied to Thanks for the Fish's topic in The WWE Folder
Hell of a show. With Bourne coming back, this show looks to be on the ups. With Tommy Dreamer's pending retirement, if they can shadow Flair's retirement angle and have Dreamer maybe come close to the title but not win it, it should be an entertaining few months ahead. -

Why is there a dicksucking contest going on for Christian? Dude's not that special. It's a nice surprise, but he's hardly the icon all these posts seem to be portraying. -

So, we think they buried Christian already? TSM at its finest. -
Then that would mean a Orton/HHH main event. No thanks. I say this because Orton said he would sue WWE if he wasn't in the main event at WM.

Maybe you should stop watching wrestling. You always are clamoring for someone to get hurt or screw something up. Grow up.

Still the best entrance in wrestling today.

I knew goldengreek would be here for this moment.

So do I. Shit can cause cancer.

From the ESPN.com recap: "Hossa was booed loudly any time he stepped on the ice during the first two periods, and some in the crowd began chanting "Traitor, traitor" at one point." Seriously? Penguins fans are retarded. I can see why Habs fans boo Briere because they legitimately feel he turned their back on them (even though he didn't), but booing a guy who your team simply rented for the playoffs because you think he owes it to you to stay in town? Come on.
-
I wonder why Canadians hate him, though? Aren't they supposed to be "smart" fans? Do they think wrestling is real?

Re: Ryan Howard. I was just about to post that. As soon as I saw it, I almost jumped out of my seat. Really good deal and we won't have to worry about the next two years of arbitration with him. Very pleased with this deal.

That wasn't a suggestion! Jeez! http://www.tmz.com/2009/02/08/fan-spits-on...star-hits-back/ Oh noes! What we gonna do!?
