ECW's next PPV 'December To Dismember'

I don't like the idea of the second most important match having no ecw wrestlers. Why not make it a traditional three way dance and include The FBI or something.

ECW's next PPV 'December To Dismember'

So could we see Hardys win the titles tonight and then Orton/Edge head to D2D to try and win them back?? I really hope not. Is the brand divisions all but dead? I mean why is Matt Hardy on Raw and why would Coach let him go for the brands tag titles?

ECW's next PPV 'December To Dismember'

It was announced today at the ECW press conference that The Hardy Boyz will compete at ECW's December to Dismember against any tag team from RAW, SmackDown!, ECW, or anywhere else in the world. Please don't be Dice Domino and Deuce Shade! If they are going to debut a developmental tag team I'd rather see DSW's Urban Assault or High Impact. Also with The Gymini being taken off the SD! roster recently, they're a possibility to debut in ECW. What's the point of ECW tag teams when there is no tag team titles?? Spanky/London versus the Hardy Boyz would be a kickass match, but my personal hope would be a reunited Worlds Greatest Tag Team.

Too bad he isn't letting ECW be ECW.

ECW's next PPV 'December To Dismember'

Who would the Hardy's wrestle? Either the match will be set-up because the Hardy's were called "Team Extreme" a helluva lot on Tuesday and Dreamer and Sandman may have taken issue?? Or will they go in another direction with ECW completely. Maybe ECW will be the only grounds where SD! and Raw competitors can face-off - that would add certain intregue to ECW programming. I assume there will be lingering issues with Nitro and Helms and the Hardy Boys could challenge Helms and Nitro to meet them at the ECW PPV where they could settle things "on a neutral site". However having Raw and SD! guys booked in the second biggest match would be a slap in the face to the rest of the roster would it not? Maybe Mike Knox will be involved. This is all happening a week after Survivor Series, so something could happen there as well. Who would Knox' tag partner be? Would they use Derrick Neikirk, his partner from Deep South Wrestling as well as his days on the indie scene who is currently Heyman's masked security #3 or would the use somebody from the current roster in a mismashed team - maybe Hardcore Holly? Using Neikirk is very unlikely. Maybe Knox and one of Helms or Nitro. If it was Nitro and he brought Melina, could we see the complete Team Extreme together one last time with Lita making a cameo appearance??

OAO Survivor Series Thread - November/26th/2006.

I see Team DX winning and Team Big Show winning, which seems to be the opposite of many here. I think CM Punk and one member of DX will survive their match and Umaga and Big Show will survive theirs. In both cases the undefeated wrestler stays undefeated. I think Big Show has to take out Lashley and Test has to take out RVD to add necessary drama to the D2D chamber match a week later (before being eventually taken out by Cena). I hope to see Punk and Helms square off at one point in their match. I like the idea of Lita inadvertantly costing Edge in his match, however only if Edge obviously costs Lita her match and sides with Mickie and they continue to beat on Lita until Matt Hardy makes the save and Lita retires happily ever after.

I agree, I'm not 100% against Undertaker losing at WM, it's just that Batista would almost be last on my list. I mean he's 41 years old for crissakes and is an established main eventer who doesn't need that kind of rub.

TNA Comments which don't warrant a thread

What will really hurt Kurt Angle is that he hasn't really effected the ratings at all, they're pretty much where they were prior to his jump. Kurt has made making TNA a success his personal mission, to use it as a big FU to VKM and the WWE for "holding him down" and it is well known that he goes to crazy extremes to succeed when he sets his mind to something. Another problem he has is that he thinks he's so much better than all of the TNA talent, so eventhough he puts them over in interviews his actions tell a different story. I can't see this ending well. Who will be the first one to stand up to Angle? If he and Dixie are so tight as Angle would lead us to believe it could be career suicide. Maybe he just needs a friend to pull him aside and tell him to A]Chill out and B] only offer advice to those who are open to want it.

I don't mind the title vs streak storyline, however I HATE the idea of Undertaker losing his streak at all, especially at the hands of Batista. Let's hope Undertaker can use some of his political clout here... I expect Batista to go monster heel sooner than later. I think he'll win the title at SS and then in a rematch vs Booker go full blown heel and destroy him to the point where we effectively see a double turn. Detroit loves the Undertaker, so the match would be hot, however Batista going over is a terrible idea. If they don't want to give Undertaker one last world title run, how about having a title vs streak feud but over the US title and versus Benoit? Reguarding Sabu - the fact that he's probably one of the highest paid extremists is reason why he should clean up his act. I'm actually surprised he lasted this long as some wrestlers are made for the indie scene. To be honest, I think Sabu should be used more as a special attraction in ECW, because when you see him weekly he's sort of exposed as being rather limited in the ring.

Maybe because that is bad form. It's one thing to trade places with somebody, with them coming to your spot and you heading to the back of the line, it's another thing to bump everybody behind you back a spot or two becase you're letting somebody cut in front of you, because they're not just cutting in front of you but the whole line.

The 1.8 is the overrun, so the ME is the 1.6 and Punk/Thorn and Heyman/Show segemnt are sharing the second 1.9...

I bet the Hardy Boys will get credit for the ratings bump, but I bet if you looked at the ratings of a live show vs the ratings of a taped show the live shows will be 0.2-0.3 higher.

I think RVD could probably get out of his contract over this issue if he pushed it. I don't think you can force somebody to go on a USO Tour if they don't want to go. However I don't think wwe would push it to that point, however don't look for an ECW title for RVD any time soon, or ever again. How would a ex-Army Bobby Lashley look as ECW Champion in Iraq?? Benoit just re-signed didn't he not? I wouldn't let him out right now, I'd pay him to sit at home before outright releasing him. I expect Mysterio to jump, but it will be made out to be a bigger deal than it is. Mysterio has nothing left in the wwe as far as I'm concerned. How can you work a lot less but only make a little less money? Is VKM pocketing a shitload of money or is TNA's business plan doomed to failure?

Roadkill is no more as the wwe changed his gimmick. Last I heard of him he was shirtless, beardless and wrestling as Braddock. However I believe he only made one Deep South appearance and hasn't been seen since. I wonder if he's injured or was released. Any news on Braddock??

The OAO ECW Thread for 11/21/06

It got rave reviews because Holly was gutting it out with a huge gash on his back - take that out of the equation and it wouldn't have been nearly as well-recieved. I thought Heyman had the book in ECW, of course with VKM having final say.

Why is Heyman booking Punk and Kelly together?? Thorn vs Punk was given a whole three minutes?? Lemme guess,we'll get 20 minutes of Holly and RVD. I'd gladly take 5 minutes from the ME and give it to Thorn vs Punk...

I never liked the Dominator, even when Farooq used it. It looks sloppy when used on anybody Lashley/Simmons can't easily lift, and it always looks like your just whippiung the opponent into the ground knees first...

I've been a big backer of the new ecw, and as it stands right now there is no way I'd even consider buying the D2D ppv. In the very least they should have protected their first offering by putting it in old ECW territory - the fans could make the PPV. I know wwe was in a tough spot because Big Show couldn't work a PPV main event match, and in the Chamber he could be the last wrestler released - effectively not joining the match untilit is 25 minutes old. However it killed any undercard potential. With it being a week after interbrand SS, and given the limited time they have to book an undercard, I think there has to be Raw and SD! wrestlers on the card. However even then, who is going to represent ECW on those undercard matches Holly, Dreamer, Sandman, Thorn, Knox, Striker, Durpee, Shannon Moore, Daivari, Burke, Terkay and Khali?? Heyman should make all Chamber wrestlers except the Big Show, have to wrestle in undercard matches - put their spots up for grabs again. It should have been done this way anyways - Punk vs Striker RVD vs Knox Test vs Terkay Lashley vs Holly Sabu vs Thorn

I don't think the Deuce and Domino schtick will work in the wwe, it's more of an indie gimmick. Two 20-somethings acting like 50's greasers isn't anymore ridiculous than The Highlanders I guess. What's the over under on how long before Deuce drops the character and becomes the son of Jimmy Snuka and Domino is canned?

    WON News + Notes

Daniel Rodimer is in Deep South Wrestling at the moment, he had a dark match/house show match against Val Venis(I believe) that was pretty much crapped on by those in attendence. However wwe regularly rushed green talent if they have the look, so "The Big Deal" will likely be no different. In DSW he recently added Brooke Adams as his valet.

WON News + Notes for TNA

In the same interview he also added he'd bring his wifeinto the ring so she could piss and shit on Puder... Mysterio is going to get paid - either by the wwe or by TNA. TNA might make more sense at this stage of his career, though I think fans might be disappointed in him if they expect wcw Mysterio in the x-division matches. I'm surprised that wwe didn't re-sign him before the surgery.

In their developmentals, not necessarily under a developmental. In OVW you have Beth Phoenix*, ODB, Katie Lea(Nikita)*, Roni Jonah, Serena, Jenny Mae*, Cherry Blossom(Kara Slice)*, Melina Roucka*, Maryse Ouelett*, Tori(Victoria Crawford)* and in DSW you have Angel Williams*, Shantelle Taylor*, Tracy Taylor*, Lucious, Brooke Adams... *denotes developmental deal

WWE has about a 10-12 wrestling women in their developmentals right now - what does that say about them? I guess it's really no different than the WWE holding open tryouts these days to find new male talent. I think they realize that if you are looking in the indie scene anymore you are getting the D&D playing fanboy(for the most part), that the vast majority of potential talent is not going to come up the hard way anymore- not going to walk into their local wrestling school and work their way up though backwater indies in front of a couple dozen in attendence.
