With Lita leaving soon, I'd like there to be a Mickie James vs Lita rematch at Survivor Series where Edge woudl turn on Lita and side with Mickie helping her win the title. Edge and Mickie would make a great pairing, and I really think Edge needs the valet dynamic to round out his character.
-
Why is this match before Spirit Squad vs Flair/partner AND the women's title match??
-
Seeing as though Cryme Tyme wouldn't have to be pinned to lose this match, would it kill the bookers to let the Highlanders win?? I'd even be cool with them pinning Charlie Haas for crissakes... Guess not.
-
Unforgiven was a pretty stacked card this year with the DX vs McMahons/Big Show HiaC, the Cena/Edge TLC match, Stratus's farewell vs Lita, Orton vs Carlito, Nitro vs Hardy and the lowlight of the card Spirit Squad vs Highlanders.
-
No way the wwe would give TNA that rub.
-
I just think there is a levelof personal responsibility with Eddie Guerrero. I believe he had his demons well before he signed on with the Wwe. Is there some sordid tale that could explain why Matt Morgan was never re-signed by the Wwe?
-
From one of those "news" sites that usually just regurgitates Observer, Insider, Torch premium stuff off as their own(wrestlingunlimited.com). I assume it is/was in one of those(or the like)... Of course they could just be using some deductive reasoning - Big Show is dropping it, RVD is blacklisted - that leaves Sabu, Punk, Test and more than likely Holly. Test has been getting a lot of shared camera time with Heyman lately...
-
Supposedly the decision as it stands today is to put the title on Test. Test has the look/size VKM covets and is actually decent enough in the ring - actually better than Batista. What does RVD's contract situation look like? I assume he would have been re-upped when they decided to relaunch ECW.
-
I have no beef with them not publicising the event - you never know ow it's going to be run and in publicising it you'd be linking yourself with it. Besides they've given Vickie a job, still sell the Eddy memorial shirts which she'll be getting a good cut of, and there is probably a DVD set in the works that will pay her well as well. I don't know what people expect from VKM and the wwe - this isn't the Owen Hart situation here, Eddy died from natural causes due to his past addictions.
-
I'll cast my vote here since I don't order ppv's. -Undercard Matches(notoriously neglected in the wwe lately) -Historical Significance of events(I love the big match feel) -Main Even Participants(Usually over-exposed by wwe bookers during build-up) -Stipulation matches -Co-Branded events(should very rarely happen) I think Saturday Nights would be an interesting PPV time slot to try, though Sunday nights might be too ingraned. Noon-4 amd 4-8 are terrible possibilities. I'd mention I buy ROH DVD's in hopes that they would get a clue to what some fans are looking for. I'd ideally say less PPV's not more. Have the Big Four(WM, RR, Survivor Series and Summer Slam) and then alternate between Raw and SD each month. ECW would only be on the big four PPV's and maybe have a few Sci-Fi two hour specials a year.

I'll be interested to know if he was told to act that was or did so on his own volition. If it's the latter I think he could find himself in hot water.

I think the only two possible winners are RVD and CM Punk. I still believe RVD is the right way to go at this point, however I think there is a real possibility that Punk could get the win for the simple reason that he had a ready made undercard match with Knox that was seemingly rushed to have him included in the match. If RVD was going to win, you could have had just about anybody else fill Punks spot in the elimination chamber. Another thing to consider is that Champ RVD has already feuded with Test and Holly, however a CM Punk as champ would have fresh matches with Test and Holly, along with Sabu, RVD and Dreamer or any other wrestler not named Moore, Knox or Dupree. The problem I see with Punk winning the title is that the ECW booking mold that has the champion defending the title every week in the main event. He'll be over-exposed and out of competition by January. ECW needs to protect the title holder and the title - defending it every wek cheapens the title defenses(especially PPV's) and over-exposes your champion. I think a much better idea would be to have a tTV title tournement to book the show around and use your heavyweight title and champion for special appearances - saving him for the PPV's. However I got a sneaking feeling that ECW will not be around in a years time, that wwe will fold the brand once the television deal runs out. Canceling the house shows rather than juicing up the roster tells me that the wwe really has little interest in the brand anymore. Another thing reguarding CM Punk, while in Japan ecw and Raw had an interbrand houseshow where Punk ended up wrestling Randy Orton in a 16 minute match. I wonder if Punk impressed the right people in that match and his push is being forced on Heyman.

Sabu won a qualifer over Kevin Thorne at last nights taping(taped with SD! on Sunday to avoid Halloween)
-
I agree Holly will be the 6th participant. There had to be reason why he heeled at the taping. What in the hell is the D2D undercard going to look like? Knox vs Punk was rather obvious, at least I thought so. I agree, it's too soon for Punk. They need to make the fans long for it, crave it before they make it happen. However if Big Show is dropping the title and RVD can't win it, I guess that means it's either Punk, Test or Holly. I think I like the alternative idea better - have Big Show drop the title at Cyber Sunday and then have the winner - likely Cena, defend the title at D2D. Was Tony Mamaluke released??

I like the ECW additions, and am interested to see what Heyman can do with them. Shawn Davari is great on the mic and terribly underutilized in his wwe stint. Of course it still seems that he'll be handcuffed by Khali. On a side note, Khali could be in ECW to give them the wow factor that they'll be losing when Big Show retires. Heyman got 911 over, why not Khali. Sylvester Terkay would have been better suited in ecw to begin with, given his history with Kurt Angle. We'll probably see Elijah Burke split from Turkay as well, as ECW doesn't seem to have any tag teams. I don't see any "money matches" created though with the new additions, though it will of course depend on their booking fro here on out. ECW is the wwe equivilant to "the land of unwanted toys", and these additions offer no exception. Turkay vs Punk could have been interesting as they are booking Punk as a MMA shooter of sorts, however Turkay is so damn awkward in the ring, the match could be a train wreck. I wonder if Sabu and Khali will be booked as brothers - I mean they are both from India afterall, so what if they have a population over a Billion...

Actually from what I've read Big Show is dropping the title becuase he's in pretty messed up shape physically and VKM is vehemently against RVD getting the title again due to his screw up last time he had it. I think we could see a surprise winner. Obviously Test and Sabu will be involved, as will Hardcore Holly. That will leave one spot open for the likes of Dreamer, Sandman, Thorne, Knox, Punk, Striker, Dupree. I'd say Dreamer would be the shoo in, however I assume that there will be a three vs three heel vs face dynamic initially. If RVD doesn't win the title, and cannot in the future to McMahon's edict, what point does he serve with the company. RVD HAS to get the title at this point, though I could see Test pulling out the shocker victory. Putting the top title on Holly or even Sabu would be a collossal mistake. CM Punk would be an interesting possibility, however I think Heyman will do the slow burn with him, and he'll need to flesh out the undercard, likely fighting Mike Knox. With D2D being a couple weeks after Survivor Series, as has been mentioned, we should fully expect there to be Raw and SD! representation on the PPV.

There was talk of making Big Show more of a novelty act that would keep him out of the ring for the most part due to his failing condition, however instead of this the wwe put him in ECW. Now to be fair, Kurt Angle was supposed to carry the franchise and Big Show was there just to add name value, however with Angle being injured and then leaving the company, the weight of the company has fallen square on the big shows shoulders. He's worked almost every Sci-Fi main event and has main evented almost every house show, which usually results in the longest match and a lot more bumps than he should be taking. I don't blame him for looking to take time off - he would never get it any other way. That's the way the wwe works, grind you into the ground, chew you up and spit you out. A lot of top talent is leaving the business lately and I'm sure Big Show keeps in contact with them. Austin got out to save his health, Rock moved on to bigger and brighter things, Jericho hung up the boots while still healthy, Christian wanted a lighter wrestling schedule. Angle worked his was to a better spot as well - all of these guys have the money and were seemingly smart with it. Booker T was ready to get out before Sharmell and a push convinced him to stay, Benoit recently took almost a year off to heal and rest. Trish Stratus is gone and Lita is close to following her. JBL hung up the wrestling boots for a cushy commentator job and Kane was looking to put over Fake Kane before calling it a career. Basically you look at the two brands and you have Undertaker who rarely wrestles and doesn't work house shows, and HHH(who is a McMahon) and HBK who likely gets a ton of perks himself, and retired himself for a pretty long stint. VKM and the schedule is just too demanding and the travel and ring bumps just takes a toll mentally and physically. Big Show could easily match his wwe salary in the entertainment world with a much, much easier workload.

I think Joy Giovanni is going about things the wrong way if she wants to get back in the wwe. If she was already contacted by Johnny Ace and Nova about coming back in, she should have kept her mouth shut and waited by the phone. Tell her to go to a house show, preferably ringside seats, with signs asking to be re-hired and try to get HBK's and HHH's attention - I hear that also works really well.
-
If Claudio Castagnoli and Chris Hero are both signed, I really doubt they'd be brought in as a tag team. I think Claudio would jump to one of the main rosters rather quickly - probably to team with Sylvain or something. Hero would be in the developmentals for awhile as his body needs a lot of work.
-
I doubt they'd change Harry Smith's name, however they'll definitely give him a nickname Harry "The Bulldog" Smith or something to that effect. ROH Claudio Castagnoli was said to have impressed during his Deep South tryout, also it is said that wwe might be interested in Chris Hero. Hero wold definitely have to get into they gym though. It looks like wwe is after talkers/personalities - Colt Cabana worked Heat again this week, jobbing to Hacksaw Jim Duggan. Cabana, Hero and CC have the height the wwe looks for, and are solid enough on the mic - with Hero actually being really good.

I don't know how loong he is out, but I'd say a minimum of three months and a maximum of six months would be a good guess. I don't know what this will do to the Regal push though, I wonder if they'llpay until Taylor is heeled up and then cut him. Hopefully they'll stilluse Taylor while he recovers, maybe Regal could bring in a kid to team with while Taylor heels, and then as soon as he is heeled up, both would turn on the kid, maul the hell out of him, and continue on the push. Paul Burchill is down in OVW but probably unlikely as they already teamed and then Burchill went pirate. Fellow Brit Steve Lewington is back training in OVW as well, on his second tour of duty. I'd love to see Nigel McGuinness brought it, but I think that is an extreme longshot. The angle would be too low to debut Harry Smith in, besides Smith seems to be Raw property. Nigel and Burchill would make a badass Eurotrash hooligan team, but the US wouldn't give two shits about them, especially with Regal and Taylor already being the tough brit tag team. Two Brit teams would be one too many for NA to accept or get behind.

I think Booker T has been a good champion. He has won when he needed to, cheating or not, as a heel that's almost expected. I've found him highly entertaining in his role and believe he's even stepped up in the ring. Reguarding the money match - I think Batista vs Lashley is in the cards, probably for WM23. I think we'll see Batista go monster heel sooner rather than later(notice the facial hair), probably tear though the roster, until finally Lashley stands up. The problem with this is that Lashley is TERRIBLE with the mic, and he can't help sell the drama to build up for the WM main event, wwe might lose faith in him and I could see them opting for Batista vs Undertaker in a Title vs Streak match. Outside of that match, I agree there isn't really a draw match. Of course, personally I'd pay to see Benoit vs Undertaker on PPV. SD! hasa solid midcard, however they can't seem to break anybody through to be seen as legit main eventers. Once Booker T loses the title, I think he'll remain an upper card guy, much like Benoit, probably a gate keeper to the main event scene. I see Finlay much in the same role - seen as a legit title threat, however will be used to both put over new champions and to "make" the up and coming challenger. Two current wrestlers I'd like to see evevated perminantly to a similar spot would be Chavo Guerrero, who I really think is getting over and is one hot feud away. A hot feud with Benoit right now is exactly what I think he needs to put him over the top. The other wrestler I think could hold down the spot would be Greg Helms, yes the cruiserweight champion. He's been around for awhile, paid his dues and is a very good worker and solid on the mic. I could easily see Helms feuding with a face King Booker down the line(maybe a double switch during the Batista/Booker title match). -

I think Chavo could hang in the upper midcard, especially in a feud with Chris Benoit over the US Title. Ken Kennedy is still feuding with The Undertaker, so Benoit is without a feud, and it would make certain sense for Benoit to take umbrage with what Chavo did to Mysterio. Wwe should just dissolve the cruiserweight title and allow Helms to compete with the big boys. Helms, Guerrero, Noble, and eventually London and Kendrick when they split, are all better off feuding with the Finlays, Benoits, Booker T's. If Mysterio can be world champion, fellow CW's who are bigger, should be able to compete with the rest of the roster. I mean if Big Show has to sell for and lose to HBK, why can't HHH sell for and lose to Jamie Noble - the size differential in both cases being similar. -

Does Mysterio go to Raw or maybe back to his roots in ECW?? -

What's the deal with Sylvester Terkay anyways, is he that bad that wwe won't put him in the ring or is he injured? If itis the former, you'd think a tag team would be the bes place for him at the moment to hide his weaknesses. SD! needs another face tag team, but that likely won't happen until London and Kendrick drop the titles and are broken up.
