I think they should just put JBL in the MITB match. He's been all about making the big play at WM because it's in his homestate - he could really put over the MITB match by saying that he'll win it and cash it in at WM.

Only if he turns heel and drops the Jamaican gimmick and goes all African warlord (like Mr. Eko from Lost)... -

I think Swaggers lisp will keep him from the elite level. I picked Ted Dibiase - I just think the guy has it. I like watching him wrestle, and yet he doesn't do anything special - it's unexplainable. CM Punk will be a top guy, but I think he'll need a heel turn to fully break out. I'd love to see a feud between Punk and HBK. Morrison will probably never reach the top because he's not comfortable on the mic. I know his current wooden delivery is his bit, but it's almost as if he's too self aware and panics on the live mic and you can see him trying to remember his lines. I'm not sure if he can be over as a singles. I think Miz and Morrison are like the New Age Outlaws, lacking as singles however really click as a tag team. Cody Rhodes seems like a sidekick to me, he seems like the lackey of The Legacy. I think it's result of my first impression of him when he debuted and teamed with Holly and was Holly's bitchboy in the angle. I think Christian will break through - he just needs the right breakout feud to open Vinces' eyes. I think ECW is the perfect place for him right now. What works against him is his desire to be on top. His jumping to TNA and the fact he only came back to the wwe because of the money I question if he really wants to be the top guy. He likes the schedule down in TNA, wwe top guys do a lot of promotional work, over and above the travel necessary for wrestling. Does he want it? Shelton Benjamin is still pisspoor on the mic. If he had a mouthpiece manager he's be a top guy. MVP seems to be out of the dog house, though I don't like his face character much. I'd like to see him moved to Raw in the next roster shuffle/draft. My darkhorse is Mike Knox. Undertaker and Kane will both be gone in a few years time - the wwe will want a big man/hoss type character. Another darkhorse would be a repackaged Festus. Wwe doesn't have any bigmen/giants in developmental. I would have liked to see Knox take out Batista instead of it being Cena. I think an Knox/Batista feud could really help put Knox over if he's booked to look like an equal. Knox is only 31, which is young in hoss years. -

Scotty's wwe.com show was hit or miss - but then again so is the Dirt Sheet. I don't think the writers "got" Colt Cabana. I know they didn't think he looked the part (I guess he needed big hair or a lot of tattoos or something), but his comedic style in the ring is just something you don't see in the wwe. I think he needs a straight man to play off of to make his schtick work. I'm still holding out hope for Kizarny - his cameo on Scotty's web show a couple of weeks ago and in the backstage segment with Vickie tonight has me hoping the writers are seeing something/anything in him. He's different, and that should be enough to get him an extended look. I think SD! is the worst of the three brands for him, because on ECW he's get ring/camera time to sink or swim with and on Raw, I think their writers would "get" him. I'd love to see him paired up with Vickie somehow. He could be her weirdo lackey or something - he's always trying to please her and fit in with Edge and she (and Edge) takes advantage of that to use him to do their bidding. -
Christian on ECW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I expect Kizarny and Ryan Braddock to join Scotty Goldman in short order. Colt Cabana is so much more than 2009 version of Barry Horowitz. -
Roode is crud. I think the wwe showed interest just to allow TNA to essentially bid against themselves. Shelley is just going through the motions now - it's to the point where he'll stay if the money is right, but would probably be happier on the indies. He's probably eying a ROH return as well now that they got television. I know he hung them out to dry when he jumped to TNA, so I wonder if ROH would want him back.

Christian's Re-debut in WWE has occurred!

HBK is obviously better, but Hardy isn't. Hardy certainly does bring excitement to his matches and has improved greatly, I just think you put Christian in with the same opponents and given the same amount of time and he'd give you the better match. -

This is why I supported the idea of him getting the pimp spot in ECW. On Raw or SD he'd likely get lost in the shuffle AND Vince seems to pay a lot more attention to those shows. The problem is that Vince doesn't want to admit his mistake, and would rather see Christian fail and prove him right, than succeed and prove him wrong. And with that attitude and the ultimate decision making power, Christian really has his work cut out for him. -
No it's not. Wrestling is storytelling. Nobody will question the in-ring talent available to TNA, but it's the creative team that sucks - you know the people who script out the shows, the writers. And what are they supposed to do when they sign Paul Heyman? Press release? Sure. Run commercials about their new writer? I hope not. Put him on TV in an angle to prove that he works there? Look...I'm not saying Heyman is a bad writer or anything. He's overrated, especially by people like you. Sure, he's better than what they have. The point is, writers do not matter to television audiences. Do you remember when WCW touted their signing of Russo? How he came in and specifically said he had booked the WWF? When was that? About a year before WCW died? And how is signing Heyman going to double ratings? Word of mouth? The only people watching TNA, outside of people who watch it knowing how bad it is, are incredibly loyal, but whatever they're telling their friends isn't working. "Hey, pal! Sting and Kurt Angle and the Dudleys are main eventing the PPV. You should buy it!! Oh, you still think everything about TNA sucks? Well what if I was to say that Paul Heyman is booking it?!" Writers don't matter? "Lost" wasn't expected to be a huge hit, but it had solid writing and the viewership exploded. Guess what - the writing for the show has really fallen off, and the ratings are plummeting. You could market the hell out of TNA right now,. folks would tune in see that it's the drizzling shits, and never tune in again. You don't think it wouldn't have mattered whether Joe vs Angle was held off for a year versus being rushed like the current crew decided to book it? Heyman would double ratings because he's book a much more compelling product.

Does/should WWE care about TNA?
Thanks for the Fish replied to Thanks for the Fish's topic in TNA Wrestling
Yes. They signed Gail Kim and haven't used her yet. They signed Harris and treated him like a nobody. Any interest they had in Roode is because he is a tag champion in TNA, not because they had plans for him. The wwe has a roster of developmental wrestlers they could tap into if they had a character in mind. -
He's wrestled... three ROH matches since then? Yeah, I'd say they would. One-off appearances is different than signing him to a contract.

Wrestlemania is a month and a half away yet - they really need to slow burn Hardy vs Hardy or they'll run out of storyline quickly. -
Tyson Kidd can definitely bring it in the ring, however he seems sorta awkward in all other aspects - last weeks backstage bit, his interactions with Nattie, his entrance, crowd interactions, the post match celebration. Hopefully that all comes in time and he relaxes a bit - Evan Bourne is the same way. The best part of that brief match was when his opponent looked to reverse the hammerlock and ate a knee when he tried to duck under. It's the little things...

I suspect that they'll just juggle around the order of the matches with Cena vs Big Show probably the main event. At the end of a four hour double taping, they probably wanted to ensure the main event got a big pop and had crowd interest. -
Edge should have never rejoined Vickie when he came back. That act is stale, and is nothing more than the played out heel authoritative figure angle that's only going to get worse with Cena involved now. There really isn't a money match out there involving Edge that I can think of - Edge vs HBK maybe. I question if Edge can stay over without the title. His whole reason of existing is the title, which is actually a good thing, but he's lost when not in a title feud. Edge vs CM Punk I guess would be one feud I could get into right now involving Edge.

From idiotsrunningawebsite.COM - Rumors have Raw Champion Edge being traded back to SD for HHH. This would make sense as Vickie would want Edge back and wouldn't mind getting rid of HHH. Both are champions so the belts don't really matter. Also Stephanie would want HHH because their marriage is going to be exposed on air, meaning HHH vs Orton and Legacy. Now where does this leave Cena?? Could the 30 day suspension rumor be legit? 30 days wouldn't cause him to miss WM. Matt and Edge are teaming to face Jeff/Undertaker at house shows - Could this be leading towards Matt vs Jeff and Streak vs Title at Wm25 (like we haven't seen UT vs Edge enough) or Edge vs Jeff and Matt Hardy vs Undertaker? Also if they do want to go HBK vs Taker - what about trading Taker for Cena at the same time? That would set up HBK vs Taker and Cena vs Edge. Also Edge could be excited that Undertaker is gone, but then pissed when he hears it was for Cena. Net moves would be Edge and Cena to SD for Undertaker and HHH.

Great save, Dave Scherer, but we don't need to trick people into reading the body of something. My philosophy on threads is the same as the news - the headline should tell me everything I need to know. Don't depend on me to fix your dumb mistakes because you thought it would be awesome to make a "OMG HUGE NEWS!" thread. Nor did I say it was, but you do seem pretty keen on this website. You also do a good job of making it sound like a terrible, sensationalist "newz" site similar to (but worse than) LOP. Case in point: The Cena nonsense in here. Stop making my 'job' harder, people! Don't make misleading thread titles, don't talk about WrestleMania as a "General Discussion" thread when a thread exists for it, don't be scared to start a thread (I'm still not sure how major stories like Jericho getting into an altercation with fans was started in GD, but Coach making a statement no one gave a shit about got a thread), don't post attachments that put that cause that paperclip to appear next to the thread title / images to appear for people who have them turned off (ok, that one is a personal preference... but really people), and so on. No wonder I'm counting down the days (posts) until I start a new forum conquest. Yes, I was trying to trick people into reading something on a board I have nothing to gain from. I saw a news snippet that I thought folks here would be interesting and posted it. Barron made some requests/suggestions in the second post and I went back to edit my initial post to fit his requirements/suggestions and was just indicating that I couldn't edit the title. I believe I did indicate "Possible spoiler inside" in the sub-title, which was meant to indicate that it didn't happen/rumored. I would have simply put this in the general discussion thread, however seeing that it could be a spoiler it would have to have been spoiler tagged. And then if anybody wanted to comment on it they would have had to spoiler tag and it would have looked like a mess. I'm not terribly keen on the site other than it usually offers pay site news for free (I don't know if the implication is that I somehow have anything to do with that site and am trying to push it). In fact, I didn't quote it before because I didn't want to give it any pub, and there was requests to source it (rather than just saying "from the paysites). Now when they don't source, though you know it's from a paysite, do you source them? I chose not to and you guys wanted it - so I give them as the source. Regarding general discussion, nobody knows if the topic will catch on. Low-Ki's signing with the wwe, could be general discussion if 1-2 people comment on it. I mentioned Christian debuting in the GE thread because it was just something I wanted to throw out quick to alert others and figured somebody else would be working on a more complete thread - by the amount of posts in that thread on the topic in quick succession, if everybody figured it was thread worthy, you would have had 5-6 threads all at once on the topic. -
So smacking Orton in the head with a friggin ring bell and planning on smashing his face with a chair is okay, but kicking him in the head is taboo? And Shane had Orton beat - completely. HHH MAD!! HHH SMASH THINGS!!!

FUCK THE WWE!

If Shane can take on Legacy by himself, teamed with HHH they'll massacre them. Stephanie loves writing her big brutha and husband to be the toughest guys evar!!! And her father having the biggest grapefruits.
