source: PWInsider.com Color me surprised. I wonder how Ross feels about the choice. I didn't know Flair and Austin were so friendly behind the curtain. Jim Ross would be pretty boring, whereas Flair is a storyteller.

TSM Talks (to the voices in their head): The Legacy

What is the source for this? My memory from reading it somewhere (probably at a site that ripped off a paysite for it). Not this year, but the bookers were brainstorming ideas and liked the idea with Dibiase, because Million Dollar Man was responsible for bringing in 'Taker all those years ago. Edit - Found it by googling Dibiase Jr, Undertakers Streak. Anyways it's from the Observer -

    Let's Talk About: The NWO

Bischoff allowed two WWF wrestlers to come in and essentially dominate his whole roster, whereas when Vince bought and owned WCW he still couldn't allow any of "his" guys to lose to "WCW" guys in any meaningful way to better sell the drama. It's just too bad Bischoff didn't know how to end it - maybe his ego got involved there and he couldn't put a bullet in his greatest professional success.

Nah. I think the absence of kayfabe would be the way to go.

TSM Talks (to the voices in their head): The Legacy

I didn't mean to imply the wwe is down on either Rhodes or Dibiase. In fact they really like Dibiase, as they've already taked about him eventually ending Takers WM streak. I think all members, Harry included, are all highly thought of by the power brokers. I think there is storylines to play later this year involving Rhodes and Harry Smith. Rhodes could beat Ortons "Youngest Champion" record should he capture the World Title by October of this year, and Harry Smith could beat Ortons record if he can win the World Title by December of this year. Now Rhodes isn't ready and Harry hasn't even re-debuted yet, but neither would have to be in a major program with the title holder, just even getting a Raw shot at the title would be enough to make Orton squirm and challenge his loyalties. I also like the idea of Dibiase winning MITB because it would add an interesting dynamic to the group if/when Orton is holding the title.

WWE General Discussion - January 2009

File this under "The more things change, the more they stay the same" - (from F4wonline and/or pwinsider via rajah.com) Unbelievable. Keirn is speaking in generalities here because Low-Ki was recently signed, but if you're "undersized" you better be an elite worker. And Low-Ki very likely only got hired because Mysterio really went to bat for him. McMahon should look at the boxing PPV numbers and compare what de la Hoya and Mayweather pull(ed) in versus what the heavyweight scene is drawing these days. I guess Chris Jericho, Shawn Michaels, CM Punk, Rey Mysterio, Kofi Kingston, Santino, Evan Bourne, Miz, Morrison, Carlito, Primo, Finlay, Kendrick, Kennedy, and Cody Rhodes should all be looking for another line of work. So basically the wwe had no plans for the NTI call-ups, but gave long time developmentals the chance to sink or swim with no booking/creative support.

    ECW - January 13, 2009

Maybe they could just dissolve ECW that night. When does the new Superstars show start on WGN? When does the contract end with Sci-Fi?

Jim Ross makes the most sense for Austin. However if not Ross, then what about Vince McMahon? Of course this wouldn't work if Austin is fighting at WM25 (assuming VKM would be involved in the storyline for old times sake), however if Austin isn't active at Wm and is solely there to be part of the HOF, I think Vince inducting him would be neat. That being said, I think there is 99.9% chance Jim Ross will be inducting Austin. He's the headliner, whereas Watts' induction and speech will probably not even be televised.

    WWE Raw - January 12, 2009

Where is this Jericho storyline going? I think it's heading somewhere big. The wwe is building their WM card and Jericho is either jumping to SD! and will challenge UT's streak, or Vince comes back next week and reinstates Jericho (hopefully not via Kiss My Ass club membership - thankfully that wouldn't be PG programming) leading to Stephanie bringing in Steve Austin for one match only Jericho vs Steve Austin at WM25.

TSM Talks (to the voices in their head): The Legacy

Rhodes and Dibiase are looking like Orton bitch boys. In Evolution there was a pecking order, but Orton and Batista were members of the group rather than sniveling lackeys. Sim Snuka was born in Hawaii, Jimmy hailed from the Fiji Islands I believe, so he's not Samoan. I guess they could gimmick it, but I don't know how well that would go over with the actual Samoans, who might want one of their kin to get the job. Maybe they could be the "Islanders" or something, like Haku and Tama. The team could work, however their obvious first feud would be with Rhodes and Dibiase, and you know who would win that feud. Now maybe The Legacy could say that they're out of Manu and Sim's league and not to come back and challenge them until they've ben tag champions. This would at least open the door to different feuds - both challenging Miz and Morrison, and even some how getting title shots at Carlito/Primo or whomever holds the SD! Titles (probably Kendrick and Zeke sooner than later). Wwe doesn't like things leaked, I wonder if Harry's inclusion in Legacy is at risk because it's been leaked. I think he'd being the needed power/muscle element to the group. Assuming it's Orton vs Cena at WM25, I hope Cena doesn't run through The Legacy all by himself, but rather The Legacy is treated more like The Horsemen then the Spirit Squad

    ECW - January 13, 2009

I assume they made the switch to free up Matt to be involved in the Edge, Jeff, and Christian storyline. I don't know who Swagger is supposed to feud with though, Dreamer is utterly played out as a threat (I expect Dreamer to retire in June never getting the title), Finley is a cartoon character, and DJ Gabriel is just trying to establish himself. Maybe have open contracts for Raw and SD! talent to come in and challenge for the title - even if it is just the undercard guys.

    WWE Raw - January 12, 2009

Maybe the bookers just wanted reason for Kane to clear the area go Manu/Snuka could come out and confront Orton, so he chased the referee to the back.

    WWE Raw - January 12, 2009

Good call. Return of the heel referee? I hope they really draw it out - for months even - before they finally put it together that Scott Armstrong is a legacy. so what, are we trying to go full nWo with this group or something? Whats next, Shane McMahon revealed as the mastermind of the group because he's 3rd Generation? And then Carlito and Primo will join, as will Chavo Guerrero, Natalya, Manu, Umaga, Goldust, Sim, Jesse, Hornswoggle along with developmentals Joe Hennig, TJ Wilson, Talor Rotunda, Dakota Windham and Brett Dibiase = Legacy Black and White. Orton, Dibiase, Rhodes and Smith = Legacy Wolfpac. Is Rey Mysterio considered second generation? Of course not. Maybe Scott Armstrong missing the kick out was coincidence.

Add DH and the faction is complete and completely badass. I just hope they don't drop Harry joining because it's been leaked. Harry could be the muscle of the group.

Did Punk screw up and hit him low there? I think he was supposed to give him a gut shot, but actually hit him too low, so it doesn't look as if Regal was faking it. Why would DH be with Manu and Sim? Maybe it's Dibiase with them, because last we saw of him, Orton was punting his head.

TSM Talks (to the voices in their head): The Legacy

Nattie would be considered third generation as Stu would be her Grandfather on her Mothers side. Problem being is that the wwe doesn't fancy her as much of a looker so probably wouldn't give her that push. I think she could really work as a member though, and could debut later on when Mickie or somebody is standing up to the Legacy Boys, and they could say something to the effect "We don't hit on girls..." and then have Nattie jump the Diva from behind.
