Survivor Series is lackluster unless you are a huge Cena mark. The booking and hype for the show has been crap. -

Definitely going to end in a team vs team brawl. Really need to give the hard sell to the team warfare at Survivor Series. The hype for this PPV has been brutal, but I guess they believe the return of Cena is going to sell it given the promo pieces his return is getting. -

I believe Steve Austin legally changed his name as well - Issue with trademark issues with the Six Million Dollar Man folks. Hulk Hogan was close, however his sons legal troubles and his public divorce has lead to a lot of "Terry Bollea" mentions in the MSM lately. Hogan does own all the trademarks, well he did but recently sold them all to Eric Bischoff to keep his wife from going after them in the divorce. Rickey Steamboat lost his trademark to that name in his divorce and only re-acquired it recently. A helluva lot of actors have stage names, but I don't know if they are legally changed. -

I get the idea that the Divas are "there" for the upper card talent. -
Freebirds entrance is the best ever. A guilty pleasure favorite of mine - The Oddities - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IPHyU2D4DJw Sandman at ONS 2005 was epic (would have been perfect if Foley shut his mouth) - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p8Lgs1ELA10 And while it's not WWE, it's one of my favorites (and I don't have many nice things to say about TNA) - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rFyHb9AL-oU

pwinsider is saying that wwe creative is waiting on the Edge return to have him come back with Christian. I don't know where the two could go together, unless they go after HHH, but Christian is playing the sidekick again and HHH will just beat both, even with the numbers disadvantage. I'd rather see Christian align with Vickie Guerrero and battle Edge.

Ken Doane's MySpace blog: (from Rajah as I don't have a myspace account) I think the kid had all the tools in the world, but he needs to struggle a bit. As he said he's been signed with wwe since he was 16yo, so he's never had to worry where his next meal is coming from. I don't expect TNA will touch the guy either. -

I don't think Zombie Benoit would have been jobbed out as much as MVP has been. -
Sting hangs his hat on the fact he never "sold out" to Vince. It could have been epic around the time Vince bought WCW, but knowing how that was booked it probably would have sucked anyways.

I HATE Manu in the Legacy Stable. He's a terrible fit. Joe Hennig is close in FCW, and I think he'd be perfect - a Dibiase, a Hennig and a Rhodes... -

If Lena could prove she said this, she should sue. Hey Steph, don't Mark Henry and R-Truth look alike? I wonder if Angela Fong will be released from Developmental as well. Really, the 200 pound muscular guy with braids that raps to the ring looks like the 350 pound big gy that's gimmick is based off being "the world's strongest man"? Why? Because they're black? Talk about racism. Went right over your head, sport. -
Christian's investments that allowed him to take the lesser pay and lesser schedule in TNA didn't hold up well given the economy. And has been mentioned, wwe never saw him as a main eventer, however with both Hardys, Jericho and Punk all in the title scene, that outlook might have changed. I don't know if Angle will be welcomed back, simply because he's broke down and there is little money to be made there. I could see him heading to a MMA company as a commentator where is Olympic credentials are still highly respected. I doubt there is a spot for Rhino either. D'Von gets on well with the wwe, but not Bubba.

I agree completely about Katie, but get the sense that the wwe isn't high on her. I'd like to see her move to SD! as their division needs a big boost. With the rumored moving around of some undercard workers, I'd like to see Burchill keep his job and move with Katie to SD! as Hayes books a much better midcard. Regarding Burke, the best ECW matches I saw him in were the garbage/weapons variety. I was still a fan and believe there was a spot for him in the wwe. I mean ifthey're cutting somebody because the writers don't have anything for them - shouldn't they be cutting the writers? -
Problem being that Santino isn't nearly that entertaining to keep the angle going for 50 more weeks, and I consider myself a fan. And furthermore I don't think Haas will be playing this imitation gimmick a year from now either. It would have been one thing if Santino was booked as a competent wrestler, but he's a comedy act and wins by fluke. If somebody is going to hold the IC title for a year, I want a kickass wrestler to do it. I hope Regal (with Layla) keep the title for awhile and is a fighting champion. However there is a lot of IC-calibre talent locked up in the tag title scene right now. CM Punk, Kofi Kingston, Ted Dibaise and Cody Rhodes could all be viable contenders. Is regal still feuding with Noble? Is that an IC caliber feud? I guess the best match-up feud right now would be Regal vs Mysterio. D'Lo Brown would be another possibility. Depending on how the match plays out, I wouldn't be surprised if Marella uses a loophole to regain the title and explain he never lost either.

There could be more yet to come - basically given the economic climate and the bad quarterly report the wwe is looking to cut the roster fat - anybody not being used/of wrestlers creative doesn't have any ideas for could be cut. Kung Funaki (should be spelled this way), and Charlie Haas have to be thanking their lucky stars they've been given something to run with just in the nick of time. Other folks who should be nervous as hell answering their phones (in my opinion) - Deuce - No Snuka Jr. gimmick for him and looks out of shape in last Raw appearance. 37 years old to boot. Hardcore Holly - Could be in rehab, so could save him here. Isn't the lifer he once seemed to be. Jillian Hall - Gimmick is stale and I don't see her selling calendars Paul Burchill - I think he's toast. I mean a Brit not used in Britain tour stop? Also wwe has four developmental Brits (Lewington, Saunders, Galloway(Scot) and Seamus(Irish)) that could be used without the previous character baggage Burchill has. Katie Lea - Layla London is now the resident UK Diva. Could be valuable on SD! Snitzky - Knox is 10 times the worker Gene is. He has nothing to give in rub anymore. Val Venis - Is he injured right now? Hawkins - Bland. Ryder - Bland. Armando Estrada - WWE never really got behind the character. His brief in-ring push disappeared Gavin Spears - Bland. Scotty Goldman and Ryan Braddock should survive because there is something to work with there. -
I believe it was either "All the Rage" Christian Cage or "The Canadian Rage" Christian Cage back in the day when he was teaming with Sexton Hardcastle (Edge's indie name).
-
I posted this in the General Thread, but it surely deserves it's own thread. According to Prowrestling.net Christian Cage is heading back to the wwe. He reportedly told Dixie Carter and is being written out of TNA storylines. What brand would he be a better fit on? Bring him back with Edge? What role would they have? What about Vickie bringing Christian in to face a returning Edge? Christian as Vickie's new boyfriend? Bring him back on his own to Raw? Would ECW be out of the question? A mystery rival from Matt Hardy's past would be interesting.

What doomed Doane was his backstage attitude. I think struggling on the indies might be good for him, I think he already had it in the ring, I mean remember he was 20-21 years old while in The Spirit Squad. It was just a case of too much success too soon for him. -

Dolph Ziggler (at least for the time being) was Nicky (Nick Nemeth). Johnny Jeter was released a few months ago , they did try and rename him Jaden Jeter in a dark match or two. Mike Mondo was fired adter a DWI in Florida while in FCW and Mitch has been gone for awhile though is engaged to Torrie Wilson. -

And I was digging "The Black Pope" street prophet look too... I liked both of these wrestlers, I predicted Kenny as a future world champion, but it seems his backstage attitude sunk him. Burke was one of the bright spots of early ECW. I don't know why the office soured on him because he could bring it in the ring and was good on the mic. I guess the writers just ran out of stereotypical African American gimmicks and he was on the outside looking in. -

From the Observer - So who ya got? I'll pick Ricky Ortiz for whatever reason the bookers liked the guy and then he disappeared. Another possibility could be one of Hawkins/Ryder because they've gone from Tag Champs to possibly being split up.
