I think it's obvious that Jericho is confronting Randy Orton later on. Orton did say he beat HHH, HBK and Cena saying they had their chance, basically forboding a new challenger...
-
Does this mean Vince and Shane are going to slum it over to SD! to feud with Finlay through Khali initially or is Finlay heading to Raw? I'll be pissed if it's the latter and not really looking forward to the former. I would kill for the eventual Finlay vs Edge feud, as long as Finlay is kept as a bad ass face character - basically keep him with the exact same character but have him fight heels. I still think MVP/Batista should get a mini-feud before Matt Hardy heals enough to come back at MVP. Taker/Edge should have their program, and unless Batista is kept in there to make it a three way feud, he needs an over heel to work with. Enter MVP. Also I wonder where that Umaga vs Mark Henry trade rumor went. BDV was supposed to leave ECW in November as well. However the wrestler movement was all an idea before the SD! and ECW rosters virtually merged.

Undertaker lurves his Batista.

How did Edge not go unnoticed by the live audience for the length of the 30-minute match? I'm thinking they swapped him in during the match somehow or other. I mean even if he had his hair tucked up under a had, he would still be a huge camera man and thus noticible. Also did Edge know Batista was going to kick out of the other pin attempts - especially the tombstone before the steps tombstone? I mean he broke up the steps tombstone but not the regular one - How did he know??

I think the plan is an Edge vs Undertaker feud to go all the way to WM24. I assume it will have the title added later - it doesn't need it right now. Batista vs new heel opponent needs the title more. I might do something along the lines of MVP vs Batista, as you could have Hardy come back to stop the feud without anybody winning or losing. Was Edge playing a camera man - that's weaksause unless he has a hollywood calibre mask on to go with a wig or something. And I don't think that is the case, or the reveal would have been saved for the camera.

WWE can't debut bad ass gimmicks because you can't push rookies quickly anymore- While Santino is working out pretty well now, the initial Italian underdog fan gimmick was sad as hell. I was looking at some old wwe debuts and nothing they do anymore can pop a crowd like Jericho, Tazz and The Radical debuts. Now if they ended up signing away a TNA talent, they'd completely repackage them and pretend they never existed. ROH wrestlers need to go though developmental. Can you see Taz in OVW back in the day? CM Punk had a pretty good debut in ECW, but that's because Paul E. knew enough to debut him in his old ROH stomping grounds. Imagine if Punk was debuted in Colorado. Remember Foley/Dreamer/Funk trying to sell their ECW feud in Cali - Imagine if they did that in old ECW territory. -

OVW has some pretty good promo/vids. I remember one for Boris Alexiev (Santino Marella) that was pretty bad ass as well. WWE hardly ever does debut vignettes anymore. I think it was a great way to establish new talent - Edge's was badass back in the day. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_9Jn5CiUrlE IIRC Edge was supposed to get the Val Venis Pron Star gimmick as he worked as Sexton Hardcastle on the indies coming up however he either turned it down or lucked out that it was given to Sean Morley. I think Mike Mondo needs to go the Crash Holly little big man route. Crash and Hardcore were great together with Crash being the super heavyweight, and th two always fighting with each other. RIP Mike Lockwood. That "Professional" gimmick sorta reeks midcard jobber - you win some, you lose some. Not that there is anything wrong with that. -

I think it's the bangs/fringe that is messin' with our minds. That plus age and probably a bit of weight. -
I'd end their feud at Armageddon with a Ladder Match. From there I'd have MVP set his sights on winning the Royal Rumble and already planning his title match and win at WM only to have CM Punk eliminate him during the match. This would set up a MVP vs Punk program for the ECW title through Wrestlemania which is in MVP's home state.

I believe The Majors fought MVP and Hardy later the same night after winning the No.1 Contender Battle Royal earlier in the show. With Miz and Morrison hating each other, they could actually use Festus against each other. For example, after Jesse has been decimated, Morrison could be posing in the ring, with the clueless Festus still standing in the corner. Miz goes out and rings then bell and Festus comes in and mauls Morrison. Miz would ring the bell to stop the beating because he wants to keep the tag titles and needs Morrison healthy enough. Miz comes in to point and laugh at Morrison who, injured rolls out of the ring and grabs the ring bell and rings it to wake up Festus again who beats up Miz for a bit beofre Jesse grabs the bell and leaves with Festus. The whole Festus bell gimmick will run its course rather quickly anyways, might as well burn it out and some how have it written out of his character - or put ear plugs in or something after the bell rings.

The way it seems like Hardy was taken out, it's an injury angle however unless it's a routine knee scope or something, Matt worked two physical matches on the same freakin' night so he really can't be injured. Maybe they decided that they needed to progress the MVP/Hardy US title feud however realized that Jesse and Festus, Deuce and Domino, Taylor and McIntyre and The Major Brothers were not over enough to warrant the tag titles whereas Miz and Morrison had a solid little rivalry going on ECW. It is sort of redundant going from one reluctant partnership to another, but I guess it will be fresh to the ECW-Only viewers (assuming they exist). If they have to drop the titles because if the backstage heat issue, I assume Jesse and Festus will get the titles eventhough they're not nearly ready. I could see Miz or Morrison grabbing the ring bell in the return match and ringing it to turn Festus "off" and then decimate Jesse.

Pop-up Insider is saying it was a face-to-face argument that lead to Morrison shoving JBL and it being broken up there before it could escalate. -
Given the backstage altercation between JBL and Morrison it will be interesting to see how he buries him on commentary when Miz and Morrison defend the titles on SD! going forward, though they'll probably lose the titles next week to Jesse and Festus. I wonder if he'll want to re-dub the Hardy/MVP vs Miz/Morrison match before it airs on Friday...

Very interesting. Any dressing down, if deserved, should have been left up to the road agents one would think. However JBL sees himself as a lockerrom leader, maybe this was a Kangaroo Court issue. JBL is teflon in the eyes of McMahon and Co. so Morrison is in deep shit here unless the lockerroom baqks Morrison's position that it was none of JBL's business. Melina Perez and John Hennigan coming to a TNA arena near you? Or could we see a JBL vs Morrison feud where Morrison gets the shit stiffed out of him? Hell JBL might respect Morrison more for fighting him - who knows. -

Holly and Rhodes should be called Team NAMBLA - there's a weird vibe with that team. -
I threw out the idea that Miz and Morrison should have been in the tag team battle royale last week, so I'm all for them winning the titles, however the MVP re-heel turn or whatever you call it shouldn't have happened yet. MVP/Hardy should have had a return match with Morrison and Miz in a week or two and MVP should have turned during that match and had the three of them "take him out" - leading to a ladder match at Armageddon. This would have also put Miz and Morrison on Hardy's shitlist when he eventually wins the belt. Hell you could have had Punk make the save, leading to an MVP vs Punk program as well.

Redrum looks a hellva lot more badass than Judas Mesias, however I don't know if Johnny The Bull will do the hardcore - thumb tacks, glass - spots.

Chris Benoit Dead - Toxicology results released

Is that a guess or is one of the paysites confirming the identity. Assuming it's the latter, I'm surprised Daivari would do this after seemingly going out of his way to part on amicable terms with the wwe. -

JBL's much more valuable as color commentator. I don't know how he could do both, I know Lawler does, but he's sitting ringside in his gear, wrestles a short match and goes back to calling the match. JBL would be in higher profile matches, that would both last longer and be more physically taxing. He'd need a segment before his match to go and get ready, his whole match, and then a segment after his match to cool down and change out of his gear - that's at least a quarter of the show without him on commentary, so I assume you'd need to bring in a guest commentator for those segments unless you want Cole to call them alone. -

I'd guess Spike Dudley as well. However it sorta does sound like Edge in parts. -

WWe.com has a feature called "Superstar Ink" where they basically take pictures of a superstar's tattoes and get the stories behind them and such. Most are superficial fluff, however they profiled MVP most recently and it's actually pretty interesting. I hope he doesn't touch up the Malcolm X prison tat he has on his chest, sure it's pretty bad but it is what it is and tells a better story. We've seen MVP without his shirt on - where are these unphotographed gang tats? Are they just airburshed out of the photos? I don't think gangbangers would ink legs and asses... http://www.wwe.com/inside/superstarink/ -

Yes, it's just a poster but it'd still be quite a sight. Going through the ring would just be for dramatic effect. Well that and this - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=geQne1qe7r8&rel=1 -

Actually sounds like a pretty damn good offering, save Yang and Moore's inclusion in the tag team battle royale and the continuation of the Palumbo vs Dykstra feud I don't think anybody cares about. I would have liked to see Miz/Morrison in the battle royal, only to start fighting with each other and eliminate each other. I like MMA-Undertaker and look forward to seeing the triangle choke finish. I mean you can't expect UT to chokeslam, Last Ride or even Big Boot Khali. I hope it was a passable match, Kane and Khali have had decent matches in the past. I have a feeling this will be the last we see of Khali as a regular wrestler, I think he might partner up with Hornswoggle at/after Survivor Series and be more of a special attraction fan favorite type. Finlay vs Mysterio could be really good, and it looks like they were given enough time. Must See TV for me. How much time was Noble vs Punk given? Hopefully at least 7-8 minutes. I expect Punk to have given Noble too much offense considering Noble is a virtual jobber and Punk is ECW world champion, but the match will be better for it. I find it interesting that Noble was allowed to get his heat back after the loss though. I'd kill to see Noble traded to ECW fulltime. I dig Hardy and MVP as tag champs, however wish MVP would drop his US Title if he's never going to defend it. SD! could use that to get some other midcard guy over - even if it was inserted in the Palumbo vs Dykstra feud(cringe).
