That would have been a pretty kickass angle actually. Hell even if he has credibility issues, he is the dirtiest player in the game and could have cheated his way to wins. You could have even had past Horsemen show up to help him cheat to win on certain occasions. Come the WM24 payoff - say against Cena - Cena could have overcome the odds of every former horseman getting involved to finally beat Flair.

I'm happy Booker T walked - the hypocracy of the situation is ridiculous. Vince friggin McMahon uses steroids or an equivilant for crying out loud as does HHH, Batista, Lashley and any number of other wwe golden boys. But they didn't get caught with sales reciepts? How about getting caught by looking at them? I wonder if he ever signed that contract extension, because if he didn't he could be a prime TNA candidate. Actually TNA is saying that a former world champion will debut with the company tonight - Could they already have Booker T? Or is it RVD? Booker T could obvious use that ring name, however King Booker is very likely wwe property. How about Royal T??

I thought the major Raw star was Booker T, and he threatened to walk if he was suspended for the steroid fallout. Who really knows I guess.

Tonight's ECW rating will go a long way in how Punk is treated going forward. If his publicized win can pull a noticible ratings bump it could really raise his profile to the wwe powerbrokers, however if ratings stay the same or heaven- forbid fall, it will forever be used to bury him. Did Edge's MITB title win pop the ratings noticibly??

As I mentioned before Lance Cade was part of HBK's first training class down in TWA (along with Brian "Spanky" Kendrick, ROH's Bryan Danielson and the seemingly out of wrestling Shooter Shultz). Trevor Murdoch was trained in Harley Races school - the same school the wwe recommends to all second and thrid generation wannabe wrestlers, meaning they have the utmost respect for the school. HHH is a HUGE Harley Race fan from back in the day to boot and Harley has put over Murdoch and CM Punk as two future stars in the business and two guys he'd love to wrestle in his prime. Shad Gaspard and JTG are OVW developmental fodder.

I think Kennedy would have been the best current roster fit, and hope it isn't Batista. If Kennedy is out of the equation, I might make the M in CM Punk stand for McMahon - it really needs to be somebody who can hold their won with the McMahon's and HHH's. Is kennedy being suspended? What if Vince is "looking up" and a microphone lowers and it turned out to be Kennedy afterall and he just wanted to thorw Vince off the trail and make the announcement in his hometown for effect??

I agree - because you have to believe that a "Hair vs whatever" match would have made certain sense if they had time to play with. It keeps Umaga strong as well being that HHH took him out as opposed to a lesser wrestler. Is Vince actually pissed at all of these wrestlers and is burying them?? He had to know they were all juiced up - So are they punished for being stupid and getting caught? Is Regal done as GM even in a month's time?

They couldn't have Hardy(or anybody else who could use the rub) take out Umaga, instead they have HHH destroy him with a chair and sledgehammer to have him bleed like a stuck pig and stretcher him out. At least Cena taking out Regal made certain storyline sense... Show actually sounds pretty good, though the biggest draw for me is to see Carlito's haircut...

WWE developmental Chet Jablonski lost a hair vs title match in OVW recently and had his head shaved. He was rumored to be called up shortly under a Polish gimmick, so I assume the haircut was Wwe mandated to look more "Polish"...

Must have been something physical with Cade and Murdoch outside of the ring. I mean why not job CT out tonight at the tapings and then fire them? Wwe has had backstage fights before - maybe they just wanted any excuse to get rid of another(Eugene released yesterday) embarassing gimmick given the increased government and media scrutiny. One of the teams were trained by Shawn Michaels and Harley Race, the other was OVW fodder.

Burke is only far more in teresting because he has been given mic time. Punk will talk circles around Burke if given the opportunity to really bring it...

Only name that would make sense woud be HBK calling it a career rather than rehab'ing back into ring shape. Booker T just re-signed didn't he? He's seemingly always threatening to retire. Would Carlito or Jeff Hardy be considered top stars? Jeff is rumored to capture the IC title from the soon to be suspended Umaga tonight, so I doubt it's Jeff Hardy. Ken Kennedy? On SD! Mark Henry is done once his current contract expires in a couple of months, Kane is looking to hang'em up sooner than later and didn't TNA send out feelers to Chavo Guerrero? His contract must be up soon as well. However the teaser specifically says Raw...

Stamboli refuted the claim that he has re-signed, saying a silly mark misunderstood and then ran to the internet. Basically he's going on the road in September(I think, maybe later) and the mark took that to mean he re-signed, whereas it's an extended tryout. However with JTB implicated in the steroid issue right now, I wonder if wwe will have to pass on him at this time. JTB could team with Santino or head to ECW with Nunzio, or maybe he'll come back a biker like Chuck Palumbo...

At most I think he could be be brought in as John Morrison's bodyguard in ECW or maybe a returning Edge's bodyguard on SD!. Stand in the background and look tough, and sometimes get involved at ringside or as a tag partner.

Big Daddy V can't work longer than five minute matches - Sure Morrison/Punk have only been given seven odd minutes at the PPV's but you need a champ who can go 15+. BDV is supposed tobe moving to SD! in November, so it's going to be a quick feud. Maybe BDV beats Morrison soon and Punk chases the title for two months before winning it, at which point AAE trades BDV to SD! for whomever...

ECW is ruining CM Punk. Get him to Raw or preferably SD! ASAP. There is nothing for him anymore, and his eventual title win will be rather uneventful as it means little anyways. He has to be done with Morrison and there isn't another heel on the brand that I really want to see him feud with. Get him in the SD! midcard to feud with MVP, Finlay, Hardy, Chavo, Flair and Co with a Undertkaer and Edge match or two or even to Raw vs Carlito, Jeff Hardy, Booker, Umaga, Kennedy and a Punk vs HHH, HBK, Cena or Orton match for my viewing pleasure.
