I agree, something doesn't make sense - why make the t-shirts and seemingly have a CM Punk "pick sides" angle if the whole NB vs O deal is going to end at WM23? Since Punk is in MITB, does that mean he never picks a side? I agree, the best idea would be to stretch this out until One Night Stand.

That's sleazy as hell if they are putting the fates of Sandman, Sabu, Dreamer and Balls on the shoulders of RVD, using it as a bargaining chip to get him to re-sign. Why couldn't they just have RVD and Sabu leave, and have Dreamer and Sandman team-up and get smoked for a few weeks before bringing in some re-enforcements - Chris Benoit and Super Crazy.
-
Why would they announce JBL if they had no intention of him actually wrestling. Unless this was done with out JBL's okay as a way to entice him back into the ring. JBL is teflon and can do whatever the hell he pleases, because at the end of the day he's rich with or without the wwe. I wonder who will wrestle HBK in JBL's place. Who else has Cena fought at Wrestlemania's? HHH, Big Show and JBL are his three opponents by my figuring. So there's nobody else - Will HBK be behind this idea, having Cena fight Benoit knowing full well that there is nobody from Cena's WM past for him to fight? Stephanie is ridiculous if she wants to de-mask Mistico. If wwe ever does launch their Latino brand, keep her the hell away from it. So the plan is for the New Breed to go over the Originals? And then to release Sandman and Sabu, with RVD already having a foot out the door? Sandman does have some sort of heat on him as he, along with over ECW wrestlers, change with the enhancement talent. I've always liked Sandman, but he's very limited in the ring and on the mic and without Enter Sandman - what's left? I'm glad he at least got one full year of wwe salary, and the exposure should increase his indie contracts for a little while. With ECW supposedly set to get tag titles, why not stick him in a tag team with Dreamer? Why not make the Originals vs New Breed match a "Loser leaves ECW" match? RVD's contract is close to being up and it sounds like he wants to give TNA a try. Sabu's style is not compatible with wwe's touring/house show schedule and he wants out as well. If Sandman is close to being fired and Dreamer taken off televsion, might as well make it an angle. ECW better get one hell of a talent enfusion as nobody really cares about the New Breed fighting each other. I mean CorVon vs Striker, Burke vs Thorn - who cares?

The difference is that Torrie's issues were in the past (and sort of painted the wwe in a positive light), whereas Michelle's was in the here and now. I also wonder if she was told to lose weight by any of the higher-ups, or felt peer pressured to do so. Ashley is also terribly skinny right now, thought that could have been done for the PB shoot.

Has Candice been in any movies where she didn't get naked and didn't simulate intercourse with both sexes? Is she denying that she said Melina stole "her" finisher?
-
Would Edge be such a good, believeable dickhead if his dickhead heat didn't originate from the Real Life Lita-Matt Hardy-Edge issue?

Not after the Hogan/WWE falling out...

I think Austin's inclusion makes sure Vince remains the heel and thus Trump the de facto face. Besides there is only two weeks to go and wrestling fans pretty unanimously want to see Vince bald. Besides, everybody knows that Trump isn't going to shave his head as part of some wrestling angle. I do think he'd look much better bald, but that's likely never going to happen, barring an illness.

Each HBK and Cena are wrestling somebody from the others WM past next week. I have no clue why they are putting JBL back in the ring, is that the best opponent Cena has wrestled at WM that is available? I wonder if it will be changed, though JBL has said he has a few matches left in him and I'm not sure if he ever worked with HBK as a main eventer and probably wants the opportunity.

And of course it was Victoria's, Lita's, and Melina's fault. I think Mickie is sloppy in the ring, not in the injuries but just in her moves and transitions and I think it throws the chemistry of the match out of whack(her matches with Trish had botches all over as well let's not forget, but those were Trish' fault I guess right?). As for her almost crippling herself, didn't Hardcore Holly try to make Lesnar look bad and almost ended up crippled himself. I don't think that was Melina's fault anyways, I think that was supposed to be the finish where Melina would block the 'rana attempt and Mickie would crash and burn, leading to the pin. Of course some here seemed to have trained to wrestle might be able to see who did what wrong sorta deal.

Nitro would be better off if Melina got fired, as most of his heat comes from Melina if I have my backstage gossip in order. Foley is due back after WM I believe, I wonder if he could smoth things over if he was on the road with her. I think she resents the diva search girls, and is a loner at heart (which isn't a bad thing, but probably doesn't play well in the lockerroom). Melina isn't as bad a worker as some are claiming she is either, she isn't Trish, Molly, Victoria or Mickie James, but she is a wrestler first and is much, much better than the eye candy diva search girls. It could easily be James making her look bad in their matches.

Why? Because it's sorta like Brother Ray? Or am I missing something more glaring...
-
The "problem" with Ray Gordy is that he is a cruiserweight. Meaning according to the WWE Brain Trust he has no ME future, and the best he can hope for is undercard filler, unless he has undeniable charisma, but I don't think that is they case with young Ray. However With Henry O. Godwinn(HOG) and Phinnius I. Godwinn(PIG) what could they possibly do with Ray to give him a clever acronym? Of course he could have been "Runt" but I assume TNA copywrote that for the former Spike Dudley.

I think it's a combination of both, I think the wwe likes them, but I also think that due to lack of competition they have kept the belts. Basically the same reason why Greg Helms kept the CW title for so long. One issue with London and Kendrick is that they're terrible in backstage skits, which hurts their feud potential. Who should have the titles instead Deuce/Domino or Regal/Taylor? I like the idea of a cross brand tag title - seperately the tag scenes are pretty barren, however if you combined them into one big division there is pretty solid depth there.

Smackdown Spoilers for show airing on 03/09/07
Thanks for the Fish replied to Kurt Angle Mark's topic in The WWE Folder
Kennedy is on the cusp of being a main eventerin the eyes of the wwe, Punk is elevated just by being seen as competition for him sorta deal. As long as it was a competitive match of course. I don't mind it really, Kennedy is not Matt Striker or Hardcore Holly afterall, and to tell you the truth, I really didn't mind the latter loss either. I hope Finlay vs Undertaker was given the longest match of the night, because it could have been really good. MVP vs Benoit and Ashley vs Melina added to WM23, and Kane vs Khali is very likely as well. The card is filling up. -
Marcus Cor Von is a native Detroiter though, good for some press on the event. I wonder if The Originals winning is tied to RVD's contract status.

One has to believe that Benoit will have a road agent/producer job waiting for him once he retires if he wants it as well. I'd love to see some of the dream matches he could have in TNA, though in actuality I'd rather see those matches happen in an ROH ring, where the match could be given the proper time and the program given the proper build. I don't know what Benoit would have waiting for him on Raw, I mean I could watch his HHH and HBK matches every day, and he's had very good matches with Edge and Orton as well. I agree that a Umaga vs Benoit match could be one possibility but I'd LOVE to see him come in as a no-nonsense heel. When is the last time Benoit was a heel in the wwe? Heel Benoit vs Cena would be a solid program. He could also work with Dykstra, Carlito and Nitro in the (upper)midcard to help establish them as legit upper card guys. I'd also like to see Benoit jump to ECW to give the Originals some legitimacy. Besides, Burke, Cor Von and Thorn could learn a ton from working with Benoit, as could current world champion Bobby Lashley. Benoit vs Punk would be a dream match of mine as well...

La Resistance (both Grenier and Dupree) have already been removed from the ECW roster page. I wonder if the ECW tag division idea has already been dropped. I do agree with Dusty that ECW is too one dimensional and they need to be able to focus elsewhere. Tag Team Titles would be perfect and would allow somebody other than Lashley to main event the show. However La Reisitance, FBI, Cade and Murdoch or any two New Breed or Originals really don't capture the interest enough to main event and close the television show. I think London and Kendrick would be the perfect team to use in this spot. They can have very good matches with just about anybody and are risk-taking enough to keep people tuned in. However you take Spanky and London off SD! and what do you leave them with The Greasers/T-Birds and Regal/Taylor? What about the WGTT on ECW? Raw could still have Cryme Tyme, Cade and Murdoch, Highlanders, ... Raw doesn't really use the tag scene anyways and eventually Shelton and Haas could split and becomes singles in ECW (looking 6 mos+ down the line) I wonder if Grenier and Dupree are heading to SD! to pair up with Maryse as their valet. Vickie Guerrero as SD! GM? I don't know if I like that. However that is probably the only on-screen use of here that could work. I assume Kristal will be involved in getting Teddy Long removed, maybe filing a sexual harassment claim or something.

So they put it in TNA "territory" instead??
-
Didn't TNA do a cage break not to long ago (on purpose or otherwise)? It looked like the cage was supposed to stop on the table set-up at ringside - at least it did to me. Eitherway, I think that spot will be in the ECW intro in the very near future. I am waiting to see Sandman vs Thorn in a Singapore cane vs Walking Staff match.

HHH not being the champ isn't bad thing because if he was champ we'd only have one storyline, however with him not being champion we have his storyline front and center and then the champion's storyline to watch.

Smackdown Spoilers for the 3/2 Airing
Thanks for the Fish replied to BorneAgain's topic in The WWE Folder
Doesn't sound too promising on paper anyways. I guess we'll have to see come Friday. Ashley isn't over because she is phony as hell in her punk-grrl role. So we have Kennedy, Finlay, Booker T, Punk, Jeff Hardy, Matt Hardy, Edge in the MITB and have to assume Orton will be added, as there is nothing else left for him to do otherwise. Too many people in the match, it's going to be a mess. -
Title or no title, he has been the center of attention more often than not.
-
Sabu can't wrestle unless weapons are involved. Wanna know what diva's probably grew up wrestling fans and know a lot about the business - look no further than the OVW and DSW girls.
-
Also worth noting for the Canadian fans - Raw will be shown next week at 9:15 and probably will air at that time for the near future. There is a 15 minute "Countdown to Raw" that will air at the top of the nine o'clock hour as a lead in. From what I understand of the situation is that the CRTC only allows so much live content on the station and given the other sporting events they carry that have to be aired live, wrestling will thus be aired on a 15 minute delay.
