Test is claiming that he quit due to the politicking that has resulted since the Heyman removal. Matt Striker mocked Owen Hart awhile ago, well at least did an impression of him that the vets including Eddie Guerrero and Chris Benoit didn't at all appreciate and led to him getting kicked out of the lockerroom. At house shows he usually dresses in stairwells and such. Sabu and Sandman can't wrestle worth a lick is probably why the boys don't like them. What ECW wrestlers were stiffing JBL after the Meanie incident at ONS?

There's a vid on wwe.com of Punk getting inked in Chicago. He had a swallow put on his arm, though says it's for no good reason other than it's an old school tattoo. There is lots of meanings attached to the swallow tattoo - old time sailors used to get it after logging 5000 nautical miles, and another for 5000 after that. Ex-Con's and other lawless types get it to signify being free as a bird. Another reason if about finding your true love as Swallows mate for life, and finally another one is about always going home because no matter how far swallows travel, they always go back home.

I read somewhere, probably here, that the Vince wants the Crusiers pushed because TNA and WSX are pushing their cruisers AND he wants to try to recapture what WCW had with their CW division backin the day. Also you have to consider that he wants to bring in Luchadors to appeal to the large SD Latino fanbase, and most Lucha's are cruiserweights in the wwe. I don't know why they took the title off of Helms and put it on Chavo though, unless Mistico is going to be brought in to avenge Mysterio in some way or the other.

I think this is lazy booking at it's finest and is going to make the match a complete trainwreck. "Hey we have nothing for all of our upper card guys since we're focus all of our attention on the main event matches of each brand how about we throw them all in a Money in the Bank Match?"... Edge, Booker T, Punk are in with Orton, Kennedy and Jeff Hardy strongly rumored. That leaves two spots one SD! and probably one more ECW. Benoit, MVP or Finlay will likely be the SD! representative with Holly or Snitsky being the ECW rep. Where's the OMG!!Workrate!! match this Wrestlemania?
-
I personally wanted Booker T to be Trump's wrestler as I think he deserved the high profile spot after carrying SD! for most of the year. His interactions with Trump and McMahon would have been great as well. Of course he's long in the tooth as well, and really doesn't need the pimp spot at this stage of his career. As has been mentioned it's McMahon vs Trump, the wrestlers really don't matter. Umaga makes storyline sense for McMahon and Lashley makes storyline sense for Trump.

Benoit obviously wasn't in the building as the reason why he didn't make the save. If he would have wrestled on the card and didn't make the save, they would have had some explaining to do... -
The fact that he does sport that record and is still a viable contender and over with the audience is actually pretty impressive.

I've never understood why they tried to play the Quebec Nationalist angle in the wwe in the first place - it's a go-nowhere gimmick even in most of Canada let alone expecting the American fans to give a shit about it. I think Grenier and Dupree are decent enough wrestlers, and La Rez is a decent enough team but the gimmick is DOA. I mean why not make them Parisians - America hates Parisians, and you could even use the francophone vs anglophone gimmick when in Canada/Quebec for cheap heat.

So it looks like Khali found a dance partner for WM23 - Kane. -
Brook Adams was a Diva Search cast-off. I believe she didn't even make the final eight, but the wwe liked her story (she was homeless or something...)
-
Wouldn't La Resistance be a better fit on SD! and paired with Maryse? Also what other tag team does ECW have? Tony Mamaluke was fired afterall? Maybe they'll unleash Team Elite (Knox and Neikirk)... Dupree and Grenier are not bad workers, Grenier wasn't half bad when he wrestled on SD! most recently, he just had that terrible "Ambassador of Quebec" gimmick that nobody outside of Canada wouldn't get.
-
Except for the whole poo-soir remark, that actually wasn't a bad Nitro interview. I wonder how many takes it took though.
-
Wasn't the knock on Punk was that he was just ripping off Japanese wrestlers when he first debuted? I think Vince McMahon likes Punk, but Stephanie doesn't. Vince seemingly just started paying interest to ECW again, which means Finlay and AA can suckle Punks choad.
-
I still believe Booker T would be a better option, however Lashley is obviously a huge favorite of McMahon's, as well as with the news that he wants to establish the ECW brand, it makes certain sense that Donald Trump will choose ECW Champion Bobby Lashley. Lashley can be carried to decent enough matches, though I don't know if Umaga can do it. Lashley looked horrid against Ken Kennedy, they just had no chemistry together. Punk moving to Raw is both good and bad. Good in that it is WWE's flagship and that if he's moved there somebody in the wwe must still like him. Bad news in that Stephanie McMahon writes that friggin show, and taking Punk away from ECW basically kills any waning interest I have left in the brand.

I think Vince choosing Umaga was a mistake because of the mainstream publicity this is garnering. Umaga isn't going to capture the interest of any non-fan and lure them in to watch. Whomever Trump chooses needs to be solid on the mic as I don't expect Trump to show up to carry his side of the feud all too often. Foley as Cactus Jack would make sense, as would Hogan if you believe all of the recent animosities are a work, another option would be self-made Millionaire JBL, however with Umaga losing the match, do you really want to put a retiree over at his expense? What are the other options? Benoit is a possibility, however he's limited on the mic. Booker T could be really fun actually and is probably my pick right now. Bobby Lashley should defend the ECW title in a stand alone match, though given Umaga has the IC title, I could see it as a Champion vs Champion Umaga vs Lashley match. Of course Benoit vs Umaga would be chamion vs champion as well. back to Umaga as VKM's choice, given the main stream publicity that Umaga might get, it this a pre-emptive to the Samoa Joe push from TNA, to establish Joe as the cheap rip-off in the eyes of the lay fan? I'd book Umaga vs Booker T, as I think Booker would be hilarious in the role and his schtick could work as a face as well. Booker carried SD! for a large part of the year and deserves a high profile match at WM23.

Punk better be getting the win considering it's happening on his show. I still wish they stopped these interpromotional matches and had Nitro vs Edge and RVD vs Punk, however they probably wanted to job RVD but didn't want to do so by giving the rub to Punk.

They'll call him Dominic Mysterio, aging Rey's kid like they do in soap operas (and Rocky movies). There was a reason why Rey is scheduled to be back on television this week and why Guerrero won the CW title afterall...
-
Probably couldn't take being a regular joe working stiff like the rest of us. To go from travelling the world, wrestling in packed stadiums to pushing a pencil has to be tough.

I absolutely do think they botched Prince Albert. First of all he debuts as Droz' tatooist/piercist and is named after a penis piercing. Then in order to have the funny T & A monicker he's called "Albert" what the hell kind of ringname is that? A-Train was a huge improvement, but by then it was basically too late and he was nothing more than a hairy back to the fans. I think I read somewhere that he actually turned down the opportunity to go back to the wwe.

Supposedly JBL is teflon right now and can get away with just about anything. Wwe needs him a helluva lot more than he needs the Wwe paycheck and Vince respects the hell out of him since he succeeded in the "real world" outside wrestling. Half the fun in watching Raw is listening to JBL's pot shots. -
Do you want Mistico to do well, get signed and make more money, or hope he fails so doesn't get abused by WWE? If the wwe is looking to add Mexican wrestlers to cater to the large Hispanic SD! audience, why would they bring him in to job him out?

Probably. They occasionally throw in veiled references to some internet rumors. When Van Dam pinned Edge at Vengeance, to retain the WWE Title, JR said something along the lines of it shocking a lot of people, which was in reference to the widely held assumption that Van Dam was only holding the title for a couple of weeks. I've noticed a lot more "internet jabs" by Ross ever since he started his website blog and regularly answered the comments and such. -
The Condemned wouldn't look half bad for a Summer Cheese Blockbuster IF Steve Austin wasn't in it. I just hope there isn't any Stunners or Lou Thesz Presses in the fight scenes - it's embarassingly silly when they feel the need to give a shout out to the wrestling fans. The Super Crazy shirts are not half-bad - I like the far left one, howver the one in the center is okay as well. The one on the right is too busy for my liking, but would probably fit the character the best.

I don't think TNA would sign RVD and allow him to work the indies and Japan, they're really tightening up on that sort of thing right now. Tomko is still working Japan because he had dates to fufill, and he's a lesser talent. If RVD wants big money it would virtually be a exclusive contract.
