The match they had a week ago wasn't terrible, but you could tell that Finlay was leading him around by the hand and you could have replaced Bogeyman with a broom and it would have basically looked the same.

Jamie Noble was loved in ROH however jumped at the chance to head back to the wwe when they called. Ignoring the financial stability, you're working in the safest rings, against true professionals on a nightly basis. Working the indies you could be working in a shitty ring against a greenback spot monkey both of which could injure you and end your career and for many the ability to support their families. Vito is the Deep South champion right now, debuted his new gimmick this past week - that of a Thai Boxer/K1 fighter. He actually doesn't look too bad, however will not be able to get past his past as Vito the Cross Dresser. I've always meant to comment on the wwe's lack of Mexican/Latino talent but never got around to it. Looking at thier roster they have Super Crazy, Rey and Chavo and Rey is out for awhile and Crazy is on Raw. Speaking of Crazy, they were over the top in calling him a bumble bee this past week in his match vs Nitro, no doubt referencing the Mexican Bee character on the Simpsons. I thought I read somewhere that RVD's decision will be based solely on money. This could be his last contract and it's about getting paid. Ideally I think he'd love for TNA to make a competitive offer, however I think he'll end up re-signing with WWE. It's too bad he won't re-sign before WM23 because he could have been a focus being it is close to his home twon and such. I wonder if they'll use the current New Breed vs Originals storyline to entice RVD to stay. Melina must just naturaly rub people the wrong way. Supposedly she's really introverted and people mistake that for being stuck-up. Too bad Foley wasn't around as it looks like she needs some political backing. With his new book coming out, he might pop up on programming. What about Foley as Trump's apprentice? There has always been the Foley vs Vince talk, this could be the premise for it. Vince could choose Lashley. Foley could even show up on ECW programming and eventhough he was a heel last time he was there, he could explain that he knew Vince would piss all over the ECW legacy and that was the reason why he shit on it upon it's rebirth. Hell if you wanted to get ambitious about ECW, have the McMahon/Trump feud over the brand. Trump is all about branding and could say that Vince's ego got in the way of him allowing ECW to be successful even when he owned it and that's terrible business. Vince could mock the recent Apprentice ratings numbers saying he'd do so much better in the Donald role with Shane and Steph taking the roles of Ivanka and the son(they could even do parodies). ECW vs Apprentice(for the next season) - Yes, it's silly, but VKM and Trump are involved, so you shouldn't expect anything else. -
TNA Comments which don't warrant a thread

A couple things - who tries for psychology and rest holds in a four minute match? Secondly - Was Russo behind Taka and ShoFunaki's "INDEED" schtick? -
Also don't look now, but there is a wwe.com pole for a Lashley tee shirt. I voted the bottom left.

The booking of the angle could get tricky as I really don't see Trump showing up on ECW programming(which is of course taped on Tuesday). So Lashley "jumps" to Raw for the angle and ECW is left even more barren. The only other possibility would be to tape ECW before Raw for the time being, and let SD! have Heat. I think the angle would be better served with Trump choosing Shane and Khali and Vince countering with Lashley. Lashley is terrible on the mic, and anybody who has watched The Apprentice knows that Trump is terrible reciting lines/reading a teleprompter. If it was booked the way I suggested, Vince could do all the talking for Lashley and Shane could do the bulk of the mic work for Trump. Of course it would basically be Shane vs Vince all over again. Maybe keep Shane O'Mac on the sidelines and use Ken Kennedy who seems without a dance partner.

I agree, however suspect that Balls, Sandman, Sabu and the rest of the unemployed Originals would have never been hired and if for nothing else this (WW)ECW got them a pretty solid paycheck for the time being and probably will help their indy purses once they are fired. VKM wanted to use the ECW momentum out of ONS, though seemingly got bored with the idea when it didn't take off.
-
I just can't wait until Sandman gets to cane the shit out of McMahon. I won't be surprised if it never happens, but it should. Unless I am missing somebody on the New Breed side of things, it loks like the Originals outnumber the New Breed, which is great storytelling by the bookers here. Usually the faces are outnumbered by the heels, however in this instance it just makes the Originals look weaker than the WWECW New Breed of Cor Von, Burke, Striker and Thorn. I think one of the Originals should sell out to McMahon and join the New Breed. Have McMahon make the offer, and then have him claim that somebody has accepted his offer however for the time being that person will remain a mystery as to be a mole in the Originals lockerroom. This of course woudl cause mistrust and dissent amongst the Originals. Eventually have either Sandman or Dreamer unveiled as the sellout. This would make the odds 5-4 in favor of the New Breed, which would lead to Punk joining with the Originals. Come the WM23 match Corporate Dreamer or Corporate Sandman could jump back to the Originals, costing the New Breed the match and explain that he was a mole/spy for the Originals. If you wanted to take it a step further, you could have this wrestler then expose CM Punk as a double agent, as he was funneling information back to McMahon all along.
-
I thought Lashley would be the new face to side with the Originals, however if Holly and Snitsky vs Lashley program is kept seperate, Punk would make the perfect candidate for the spot, if the bookers were looking to push him. However right now it's four on five - Cor Von, Burke, Striker and Thorn vs Sandman, Sabu, Balls, Dreamer and RVD so Punk isn't needed for the program unless he sides with the New Breed evening the sides and giving them a fifth member. Actually with the wwe intent on establishing the WM23 matches early this year to be able to build them, I wouldn't be surprised if Holly vs Lashley and New Breed vs Originals are the two ECW matches on the WM card. I guess he could give the Alex Shelley joining the Embassy speech about how in siding with McMahon he "Didn't sell out, but bought in..." Snitsky should have been fake Kane in that angle months ago. I don't know how he's going to fit in ECW, however the bookers supposedly have huge plans for him as well.

There is a reason why RVD vs Burke is the ME over Lashley vs Holly. I think RVD is going to get the "You're Fired!" treatment.

Smackdown Spoilers twelve days before No Way Out
Thanks for the Fish replied to Hunter's Torn Quad's topic in The WWE Folder
Where is Jimmy Wang Yang? Mysterio back in two weeks? That was quicker than I expected - where does he fit into WM? Chavo should have had the US Title this whole time, Benoit doesn't need it. I would LOVE for Mysterio to say that while Chavo was the one who put him out, that it was constantly wrestling wrestlers who were a foot taller than him and 200lbs heavier than him that broke down his body and that he proved what he wanted to prove by becoming world champion but now he wants to focus on establishing the Cruiserweight Division as his legacy. He could even mention David Beckham coming over to play US Soccer eventhough he could still play Euro Football as an analogy. He could then put over the talent in the division, Greg Helms, Jamie Noble, Chavo Guerrero, Jimmy Wang Yang, Daivari, Joey Murcury and the Tag Champs London and Kendrick. Yeah, I'm dreaming... "I am the Buzzkill!" is a killer line from Kennedy. Three Demon Bombs to put out Kennedy - Somebody is getting a huge push. Where does he fit into WM? I assume it will probably be in the Money In The Bank match, especially since they are blowing their TLC 4-Way match at NWO. Deuce and Domino win again? Why not have Regal and Taylor get involved causing a non-finish? -
There was just a learning curve in how to beat the system. Masters probably took the system seriously and he was ridiculed and hazed for it - the message was sent to him and everybody else. The "Wellness Program" is there to cover McMahon's ass, it's up tp the wrestlers to learn how to beat the system, either with masking agents or HGH or whatever the elite athletes are using to beat the testing these days. Lance Cade is another that is slimming down and bulking up again.

I wonder if that is why they changed Marcus Cor Von to hail from Detroit Michigan instead of The Animal Kingdom in that they needed a home town "hero" to book at Wrestlemania. I wonder if they'll leave RVD off the card completely... If I was RVD, I'd job a little bit to do the "honors" however if they plan was to job me for the next four months, I think I'd find an injury, maybe a strained back or something else that doesn't show up on any medical tests that would keep me out for the remainder of my contract. Yeah, I botched my attempt at the joke - I should have said 10:55 before making their decision. All you Central Standard Timezone folks got it though...
-
The bookers probably won't make their decision on what they're going to do until 9:55pm.
-
Scotty is probably filling Val Venis' spot(Heat regular), who in turn is taking Rob Conway's spot(Heat regular and occasional Raw jobber). At least on the Raw brand he can get Heat exposure. Scotty will beat the indie jobbers however lose to the slumming Raw stars or the up and comers. He also fills a role on the house show circuit wrestling the Dan Rodimers and Vladimir Kozlov's of the world. Venis can wrestle the other one of course.

Smackdown Spoilers to be aired Feb. 2/07

Ideally, I'd love to see Kennedy play a Pillman-esque Loose Cannon character which would allow him to be both serious and goofy at the same time all while being taken very seriously in the ring and as a title threat. Batista is killing the show right now, a HUGE step down from when Booker T was champion. I don't think there is a feud you could put Batista in that would at all interest me. -

Never Happen. You'd have King Ken Kennedy... -
On Heat this week they have Stephanie's Chosen One wrestling and LOSING to Eugene rather unceremoniously. Is there an angle brewing there or has Rodimer's stock really fallen since the bookers saw how green he really was. Otherwise this is akin to Harry Smith debuting as part of a mass run-in...
-
I hope RVD leaves, however I will understand if he stays as the money might be too good to pass up. I think he'll loose "IWC Cred" if he does stick around, though I'm sure he won't lose any sleep over than either.
-
Come on, the way he was burying all of the ECW talent backstage you knew something like this was going to happen...
-
It's only going to go further to Findlay's head that he got himself over. I do wonder if he was saving all of his signature spots and ideas for himself rather than giving them to other talent to help get them over, which is his role as an agent afterall.
-
I wonder if Vince fires all of the old ECW stars to end the program tonight... I'd love to see Sandmanjust start caning the shitout of McMahon for fun.
-
"The Streak" was worthless if he retires with it intact. He needs to use it to give somebody the ultimate rub and looking at the possibilities, I think Cena is the best candidate. Lashley/Holly is going to be the final nail in the (WW)ECW brand. How do they expect Lashley to get any heat when the corwd couldn't give two shits about his dastardly opponent? I understand that they don't want to push RVD so close to his contract running out, and that Punk is in the dog house and all other options are lacking. Hell, Marcus Cor Von is from Detroit, he'd add more heat to any match-up than Holly will. Of course given Holly's nerve damage, the feeling is that his career is over and this will be his swansong and given the lack of any obvious contender his buddies in the back are giving him the push. Of course Holly will probably be a road agent the day he retires from the ring. I like Edge/Orton however I cringe at the thought of either playing the face. I hope both try to out heel the other thoughout their feud. HBK vs Batista - Meh. However Batista is HHH's baby, so let HBK deal with him. I wonder what politics are going on backstage with both Taker and HBK trying not to have to fight Batista.

OAO Monday Night Raw Thread-1/29/2007
Thanks for the Fish replied to RonL21's topic in The WWE Folder
It's not just the cliffhanger ending, it's the ending along with one of the insider pay sites claiming that the wwe has decided to shake up their pre-planned WM line-up that was Batista/UT, Cena/Orton/Edge, HBK/Booker T and Hogan vs Shane. I'll agree that Cena vs Undertaker is a much better way to go. I also think that Undertaker has condiserable pull and wasn't going to job to Batista who isn't well liked in the back and Undertaker could concievably outlast him in the ring(careerwise). Interesting to note is that Marcus Cor Von is listed from Detroit, Michigan instead of The Animal Kingdom. I wonder if he's heading for the ECW title match and they want to use his hometown rub. I don't know where SD! would go if UT does choose Cena though. Kennedy vs Batista wouldn't work as it's already happened and WM is too far away to possibly carry the feud. Benoit vs Batista would be an easy option to push, but I think the plan was to keep Batista face. -
Scotty to Raw means that Val Venis gets a new tag partner or Vladimir Kozlov needs a new jobber on the house show circuit...
-
He's probably being moved to ECW where he'll be booked as the next challenger to Lashley with Test decimated twice and Holly out with an injury. Of course they'll have to build him up first, so look for RVD, Sabu, Punk, Thorn and Sandman to be jobbing to the Worm in upcoming weeks. And just for the record, Kristal Marshall is by far the hottest diva on wwe programming right now.
