Check out ovwrestling.com for the reworked ovw website. I believe they brought in professional web designers this time around and it shows. The Superstars section seems to be up to date as well. Jon Bolen's look really jumps out to me - too bad he had Bolen tatooed across his stomach though (supposedly to block any silly gimmicked name by the wwe writers). I don't think Boris Alexiev or Mr. Stongko have much of a future with their current gimmicks with Vladimir Kozlov debuting and actually being a Russian. Then again they could act as his "seconds" to further sell his MMA "Fedor Emelianenko" inspired gimmick. I get a kick out of "Fearless" Jack Bulls antics, but given that he's already on the wrong side of 35 I don't think there is much future for him either. Chris Rombola has been getting strong reviews lately for his improvement. Jacob Duncan is the fromer Red Shirt Security Ryan and Trytan from TNA. I liked him better when he was doing a quasi-leatherface-Slingblade combo gimmick. I don't know what Burchill is doing with the mask he wears to the ring - but he is the OVW Champion right now. There is supposed to be a wave of developmental cuts coming, while at the same time ECW is going to get an influx of developmental talent to flesh out it's roster and make it more of a AAA developmental. Deep South Wrestling is relaunching January 4th - it has always been a terribly designed and updated website, I'm keeping my fingers crossed. However they have a myspace page that has a few members that take photo's(over a hundred) at all of the tapings.

I assume the "Smackdown Sprint" will be a series of matches probably three where the the victor will be the "Sprint" being the individual match winner with the shortest match length.

More than the gimmicky six-sided ring or the horrid squealing of Don West, TNA really needs to get on the road for their weekly broadcasts. The impactzone is too small a venue and makes the company look bush league, and the fans adversly effect the shows as well as they seem to want to get themselves over as opposed to the action and seemingly have their favorites for whatever reason not known to the television viewing audience.

Hell team Test and Snitsky could start a back acne support group tag team in ECW. ECW was the wresting equivilant of the land of misfit toys. However the problem is is that VKM and Steph couldn't keep their grimy hands out of the product. Another thing- where is the ecw workrate going to come from? If Snitsky and Masters are moved, they'd join Terkay, Burke, and Khali as those transferred who cannot work a compelling match to save their lives. Lashley needs to be carried and Daivari has been a sidekick so long nobody accepts him as credible. Furthermore when talent used to jump before they could re-invent themselves with a new gimmick or whatever, however since they are jumping in the same company they are by in large the same character. Why should they get over in ECW when they couldn't get over on Raw or SD? And Vince thinks ECW is hurting because there is not enough humor - the guy is so out of touch...

Maybe it's because Benoit's crossface actually looks like it would hurt, whereas Cena leaves so much space between his arms and his opponents neck it's laughable. When he had the STFU on AAE, there was a two inch gap between Cena's arms/hands and anypart of AAE's head. Or maybe they are already laying the groundwork for the Montreal Screwjob remake in a years time when Survivor Series takes place in MTL. Masters can't say shit because HHH is management and Edge is obviously politically connected. The best thing he can do is keep his mouth shut, grin and bear it and bust his ass to get better in the ring, then jump to TNA and tell HHH to suckle his chode.

Lagana thinks Chris Masters is the answer to ECW's lack of star power?? While I don't mind Masters heading to ECW necessarily, maybe trade him for Test (one musclehead for another) and give him a cougar inspired female manager. Too bad they fired Francine, as she would have worked in such a role. It's interesting that Edge is said to have McMahon and the writers ear. I agree about there being too many young/cocky types on Raw, and Dan Rodimer is only going to add to that number.

Problem with the "Best of Smackdown" is who is likely picking the "best of..." matches and moments. Chances are that we'll see a lot of Batista and The Undertaker...

Homicide is a terrible talker, unless he just sucks on purpose in ROH - LAX is finished without Konnan on the mic.

I don't mind the term "sports enytertainment" when it is used outside kayfabe, however using it in/on the programming is sort of giving fans a peek behind the curtain, admitting it isn't real on the show for crissakes. Why can't they be wrestlers on the show, and believe they are wrestlers on programming, however call themselves sports entertainers in the mainstream media? I mean Tom Hanks is an actor, but when he's playing a role in a movie he's the character. Everybody knows he acting the part, but it doesn't matter because when the camera's are roling he isn't the actor playing the part anymore, he is the part. I think deep down, vince McMahon is embarassed by wrestling, the wrestling fans and the wrestling business.

Helms vs Punk would be a killer match, as long as it wasn't for the CW title. I don;t think you can knock Punk for his ringwork as he's working so quickly because he has to fit in a certain amount of things into the 3 minutes of ringtime he is allotted. Watch in OVW stuff or his ROH stuff and tell me he has to slow things down...

CM Punk is still undefeated in singles matches, unless he lost in the last couple of weeks. Undefeated Streaks is lazy storytelling and usually backfires. It's the quikest way to get a wrestler over, to get fans to stand up and take notice without any character development or any other reason to care. When the wrestler is over solely because of the streak, which is usually the case when such point is mentioned ad nauseum every time they are on the screen, once he/she loses they lose their identity and are basically back to square one. Another issue is that wwe likes to give westlers a quick push to "get them over" however then sort of forgets about you and tests to see if you can get and stay over on your own, which usually involves losing a lot along the way. So you have the wrestler back at square one, jobbing left and right or in afterthought programs if not Heat matches.

If it is the case, DX dropping the middle school hijinks because of TNA's VKM, I would like to thank Roadie, Assman and Vince Russo. However I think they unwittingly helped make Raw better...

I think Russo will get burnt out rather quickly. It's just too bad they are hotshotting Joe vs Angle. Where would Dixie turn to should Russo decide he's had enough? Bischoff or Heyman would be the only name options left. Does Spike still have the same braintrust running it that ran it when ECW was there??

I'm predicting ratings ot 1.4 or 1.5 tops as a fair number of old school ECW fans were hanging on for Heyman's sake. TNA should take note of this weeks ratings, if it is 0.5 less than the average, could Heyman bring 0.3 ratings bump to TNA?? That would be more than Sting, Christian or Angle brought...
