  1. The network and Jamie Campbell may suck, but at least it is on any basic cable sports package nationwide. And at least its better than FOX.
  2. That's my favourite version of the team.
  3. On Rogers Sportsnet up here.
  4. Yes, but they really should have managed more than 2 runs. Hopefully Mexico loses so we won't be the only ones to bomb out in our home country.
  5. Well that sucked.
  6. Sid nearly killing Brian Pillman at Wrestlewar 1991. One of the reasons why Wargames is so legendary these days is because of that.
  7. I hated him before he got overexposed. This is one of the few guys that I've never liked. Ever.
  8. Robocop saving Sting from the Four Horsemen was the first thing that came to my mind. That used to be a running gag in the schoolyard in my younger days.
  9. I always wondered about that argument. Why are fans so much more outraged over somebody getting injured in San Juan instead of Florida? It works that way in all sports. Somebody gets injured in an NFL Preseason Game and it is a travesty. Tom Brady gets injured 10 minutes into the first quarter of the first game after missing the entire preseason, and that's okay. Injuries happen. Quit whining.
  10. Okay. When I started watching wrestling in 1988, it wasn't long before I became a fan of my next pick. At the time I thought he was one of the most underappreciated wrestlers around, not realizing that in his prime he was quite the performer. He's not flashy, but he's a wrestler's wrestler. The first man to have won both the NWA United States Championship and the WWF Intercontinental Championship... Greg "The Hammer" Valentine
  11. Me too. This was far different than a normal Grapefruit League or even regular season MLB game. I won't pretend it is more important the World Series, but it is the next best thing as far as baseball is concerned (at least for Canadians). International competition is very much important. The '72 Summit Series is the greatest sporting moment in Canadian history and it was just an exhibition between two countries.
  12. How do we deal with the switch to daylights savings time? Does Steviekick's time run out at 11:16 EDT or 12:16?
  13. Its not.
  14. That's really sad. You haven't been following the Blue Jays much have you?
  15. I almost always agreed with Jesse Ventura's viewpoint rather than McMahon's when they were doing commentary together. Gorilla was fine, but Vince always said the dumbest things that even a ten year old mark like myself could tell he didn't know what he was talking about.
  16. Just got back from the Canada/USA game. It was agonizingly close there, but at least we proved the upset last time wasn't a fluke. It was the most pumped I've seen the SkyDome for baseball in years.
  17. He and Childress hate each other. No chance of him going to Minnesota
  18. My next pick is one of the most recognizable midcard stars in WWF history. A talented worker for years, he was in the MOTN for many a show in his heyday. He also completes my first tag team. Chico...I mean Tito Santana Arriba!
  19. Always great to see the Red Ensign.
  20. With me its a matter of making a choice, knowing the other guy might not make it back. I did prefer JYD to Koloff as Koloff is easier to replace with somebody else later, but I would have liked to have both.
  21. That's who I was hoping for with my next pick.
  22. Thanks. That's exactly what I was looking for.
  23. Does anybody have a good site for pics? I've been having some trouble for certain wrestlers that I'm interested in.
  24. I want another big draw who could easily main event, and I can't justify leaving this guy on the table any longer. This guy was HUGE at his peak. The Junkyard Dog
  25. I'm looking for someone to fill that underdog face role and with the teams I was looking at off at the board, I'm going to go with a guy I've always been a big fan of. He's had the most success playing a face with multiple tag team championships and a nineteen month reign as World Heavyweight Champion, but he's spent a fair amount of time as a heel as well and I appreciate his versatility. Rick Martel
