How dare he! Trying to make himself stand out from the crowd in an entertainment field? Anyone would think he was trying to be successful at it! Well I never! I guess I should have added "at the expense of others". He's just as bad as triple h, he's just a little more subtle about it.

The MMA stuff is the worst. I don't enjoy seeing someone put their hands up to box and then go into a collar and elbow tieup. I don't think portraying some holds as rest holds and others similar ones as finishers is a very good idea. A gogoplata, triangle choke, or a Michelle McCool heel hook might seem cool to the MMA crossover fans, but that makes the hammerlock, neck crank, or arm bar that someone else does in their match look like shit. Undertaker has been the biggest perpetrator of this, I bet if Kenny Dykstra wanted his finisher to be pulling guard and going for a kimura, Undertaker would tell him to go fuck himself. Seems to me that he just wants to be different from everyone on the roster to maintain his popularity and position and uses his influence to take a few shortcuts along the way. As far as the streak goes, someone can just beat him in a respect feud just like Flair's last match. Nobody is pissed at Shawn Michaels still. Untertaker can just take a pin, do his pose thing for the guy, and all will be well. However, you could probably sell more Wrestlemanias until he retires with an Untertaker match on the card as long as he's with someone half-way credible.

I don't see this mentioned anywhere but apparently starting on the 14th of August there was a single frame flash of a message during the Christy Hemme v Taylor Wilde match. I noticed it during last weeks impact in the Petey Machismo tag match. It simply says whoissuicide.com. I don't remember too much "shades of gray" booking. I think within a month he was jumping sergeant slaughter who was wheeled out just for him. I guess if you count his "is he good or evil" videos then maybe but not after he started having matches.

When I first started seeing the promos I saw it as possibly the best thing ever. There would be a good arab with an evil arab manager. Evil arab cheats so they win matches but does so without the good ones knowledge. Crowd boos them both and the good one doesn't understand why. Then the good one can slowly turn and teach everyone in WWE land lesson about prejudice. I just wish once they would go the non-conformist route instead of the damn jingoism that makes most people embarrassed to watch.

There was some new topic here about some possible subliminal message at the start of ECW, I was too late to post before it got deleted . It was on my dvr too so it's probably not some local thing. At the start of ECW there was a few frames of "Listen." followed by some buzzing. Worth mentioning at least, maybe it will build over a few weeks ala Jericho's longer and longer hints about his return. Maybe they are trying out what TNA is doing. Or maybe it's nothing.

Yes. thanks for screwing over the paying customer! How did they screw over the paying customer? They were promised possible title changes. They were promised a brutal fight (Jericho/HBK). What did they not deliver on? That their world champion failed to participate? Just because they didn't do the "wire to wire retaining Punk" angle that everyone here seemed to think they would do, doesn't mean the paying customers were screwed over. Not delivering on an advertised match, much less the main event; I would consider that screwing the fans somewhat. Especially those that paid money to see THE WORLD CHAMPION in a match and did not. I'm sure some people, as few as we may speculate there are, paid to see THE WORLD CHAMPION compete. What would the reaction have been if the WWE title match was in the main event and Triple H got pulled and replaced with Domino? Does Triple H = CM Punk? No, I would rather see Punk in the main event rather than Triple H, but I'm sure I'm not in the majority on that. However, in WWE land they are supposed to be equals and they wouldn't dream of pulling HHH off a card during the PPV.

Before the debate starts to rage about what make better workrate, WWE has its audience and style and TNA has its audience and style. TNA, the X-division in particular, is full of spotfest matches and no selling which can be just as boring and unsatisfying to watch as any Randy Orton resthold encrusted match. Just because a match is up-tempo doesn't mean the wrestlers in it are any good at what they are trying to accomplish. I personally slant toward the "WWE has better wrestling" philosophy. I feel like WWE has a mix of good and great workers while TNA has a mix of great and craptastic ones. But hey, if you wanna watch a spotfest and chant "this is awesome" then TNA is the place for you.

I miss the spirit squad. If they only had/made them do more crazy trampoline shit. Trampoline matches coulda be the next TLC. Adamle + trampoline = ratings. I think I just love the word trampoline.

Anyways, I think Edge should turn face. Argue with me. If you think SD has too many faces already you could have Vicky trade him to raw for some heel, maybe Orton when he gets back.
