Hell, Punk did piss off the wrong people (Stephanie, Arn, Finlay etc, etc) and still got over and is getting a great push. As long as Vince sees something, you're safe no matter how much the agents hate it. Cabana is a fantastic promo, does great comedy skits which McMahon will adore. When did Steph get mad at Punk?

I only say that because the New Breed (Elijah in particular) has been offering to help Punk in the match if he joins them. They're developing a nice story on ECW.

I wonder if they'll further the New Breed trying to recruit CM Punk storyline, thought for some reason I can't see them getting involved in the 8-man. What I'm thinking (and hoping) is that they stay silent about it until Wrestlemania, and then the New Breed makes a surprise run-in at Money in the Bank for Punk to get the win. But that's just how I'd book it.

Kennedy doesn't nessesarily have to win MITB to get a title shot in the first place, but.... I also think these are just random 'tentative' cards. I doubt Batista is going over.

I think CM Punk has a shot at pulling the upset win in Money in the Bank myself. That said, yeah, get him exposure on Raw tonight.

WTF do you mean, the crowd was dead for it? I heard multiple 'CM Punk' chants throughout the match......and multiple 'Boring' chants for Lashley's match as well. So you tell me which match the crowd cared less about. Also, I like Punk's finisher (he needs to call it something, not sure if he'll just use Go 2 Sleep or a different name). If he encounters a wrestler who's too large to use it on, he could transition back to the Vice.

Well, who is Lashley going to face after Battle of the Billionaires? He pretty much has almost no credible contenders left. Burke and maybe Monty Brown are the only two I can think of. That show does need more face characters though. Because if Punk DOES turn, you're right, there won't be many left.

Actually, he was borderline on getting buried until mid February, where he won the Money in the Bank match (and therefore going to Wrestlemania as the only ECW guy), and didn't really have a storyline until they tried to get him involved in the New Breed vs Originals feud. Now with the New Breed trying to seek Punk as a valuable free agent, he has some direction, and they could easily turn him heel against the Originals, which if done right, will boost his popularity. I still hope he wins Money in the Bank, but I have no idea who's going to win that one.

This is one of the matches I'm looking forward to the most. I think everyone has a shot of winning it, save maybe Finlay, Jeff, or Matt. But then again, you never know what's going to happen. And then the dirtsheets come out.

That was a good backstage segment, furthering the 'free agent' storyline they have going with Punk. I liked Punk's line "That night belongs to me." We can hope.
