*** 2007 WWE Televised Win-Loss Standings ***
JPopStarKami replied to UseTheSledgehammerUh's topic in The WWE Folder
How come CM Punk has 3 losses? Doesn't he only have 2 (Holly and Striker)? Unless this somehow counts House shows, which I don't think it does. -
ECW is actually getting better. Too bad they'll never have all extreme rules matches....as much as I hate to admit it, they need the occasional DQ. WWE logic and all. Then again, if Heyman had complete control, he wouldn't need to use DQs in feuds or anything like that. Still though, an extreme rules match every week with a lot of weapons would satisfy me. Also, say what you will about Lashley, but he works his ass off. Lashley is this year's new John Cena, apparantly. He'd get heat if he turned heel and got a manager. Although against Umaga, he might be able to get over as a face. I can see why they'd put Lashley in that match.....to get ECW and Lashley over.

Well, that sucks. ECW One Night Stand isn't ECW One Night Stand without the Hammerstein. Instead of changing the venue, why not try to make an event that doesn't suck? Say have all extreme rules matches, for one? But wait, this is WWE. So that ain't happening.

Heh, I e-mailed Meltzer on that 'unconfirmed' story about Punk and I got a simple, somewhat vague/cryptic reply: "It's true people are out to get him." There's a lot of ways you can take that, I suppose.
-
It's still going to be split for the most part.......I doubt HBK is going to want to work every tuesday or anything like that seeing as he pretty much refuses to be on Smackdown all the time. You mean HHH. HHH is the one that doesn't work Tuesdays.

It's strange, because the news says he's in trouble, but the actual broadcast gives mixed signals. They put him on in the second half hour (the one they're competing with WSX in and gave him a short promo before his match, he won his match, but then Snitsky beat him down. I don't know if that last bit was part of the de-push, or if it was to get Snitsky over as a monster heel.

*punches wall in anger.* WWECW so needs to die so Punk can get the hell out of there. Weither he goes to Raw/Smackdown or TNA or ROH I don't care.
-
So anyway, what's the deal with CM Punk? I keep hearing different things, and what I hear is 'backstage' doesn't nessesarily follow what's going on in the ring. He hasn't been reduced to Chris Masters status, and he IS in a feud with Matt Striker, not to mention he lasted a while in the rumble (the announcers making mention of it.) So I don't know what the deal is. Are they simply scaling his push back for a while or going into full-on burial mode?
-
Finally somebody gets the damn feud. People are all like "OMG CM PUNK IS TEH BURY LOL" but not only is CM Punk over, and the announcers put him over (he lasted the longest in the RR and they made a nod to that), Striker had to beat him by cheating. It shows that Striker can't win clean over Punk. Would you rather have him still have his winning streak? It kills the credibility of the feud. By Striker winning dirty over Punk it keeps the feud alive. Maybe Punk can beat him in an Extreme Rules blow-off match.

Lashley vs Test?
-
By the way, does anyone have total in-ring times? I actually timed CM Punk's at 27 minutes and 25 seconds XD With all of the backstage heat on him (or so they say), I think he stayed in the longest out of ECW.

Here's an interesting booking swerve: When they get down to the Final Four, Vince stops the match and turns it into a Fatal Four Way. Would never happen, but would be an interesting twist.

Here's one that hasn't been done yet: The guy who gets the contract uses it later that night during the main event. -
Ah I see, that makes more sense.

Where did you hear this? I checked the TV listings on Zap2It and it only had a 3 hour slot. Royal Rumble starts here at 7:30 and lasts until 11:00 PM. That's three and a half hours, unless my math is off. That's the pre-show, which is included in the order. The SHOW starts at 8 and ends @ 11 (actually 10:45-10:55). Any chance of them having other unannounced matches at the show? Let's do the math... Four regular matches booked for the PPV. If they each run a half hour, that's 2 hours, leaving an hour for the Rumble match itself. But do we really need to see a half hour of Test vs. Lashley? Or Umaga vs John Cena (although that is a LMS match so it makes more sense) for that matter?

Last Man Standing for the World Heavyweight Championship Umaga v.s. John Cena World Heavyweight Championship Mr. Kennedy v.s. Batista ECW World Championship Test v.s. Bobby Lashley OMG REUNION LAST TIME EVAR MNM v.s. The Hardys 30 Man Royal Rumble Match Shelton Benjamin Chris Benoit Carlito Tommy Dreamer Kenny Dykstra Edge Finlay Ric Flair Chavo Guerrero Jeff Hardy Matt Hardy Gregory Helms Hardcore Holly Kane King Booker Chris Masters Shawn Michaels The Miz Johnny Nitro Randy Orton Montel Vontavious Porter CM Punk Sabu Sandman The Great Khali Kevin Thorn Undertaker Rob Van Dam Viscera Super Crazy Is this really all the matches booked/announced? The Royal Rumble PPV is slated for 3.5 hours. And I'm picking CM Punk, even though I know it probably won't happen. Then again, wishful thinking helps.

It would be a crazy swerve if Punk won the Royal Rumble. So of course it won't happen. -
It would certainly be a pleasant surprise, but this contradicts what was said in the WON thread, quite strongly.

I suppose not. Not like like the WWE has a smark forum or something. -

If his push is dead, then how come he's still winning matches? CM Punk beat cleanly one of the guys they were actually PUSHING on the last show. Who was touted as a former boxer with a high win record. So I don't see too much of a de-push. Or at least, they're not jobbing him out. -

By the way, where does WON get this news from anyway? Shouldn't you take it with a grain of salt rather than as official? It's not like WWE has come out and said all of this. Just adding my two yen. -
