We do this crap with HHH every year. I'm getting tired of it.

WWE General Discussion - December 2008
JPopStarKami replied to DrVenkman PhD's topic in The WWE Folder
And as described by Meltzer directly after the statement, proof positive they won't even think of turning Cena or changing his gimmick any time soon. How much longer can they keep this up for, though? -
between the two they know a total of ~20 wrestling moves Not having a deep moveset does not make you a bad wrestler. It's knowing what to do with the moves you know that counts but cena IS a bad wreslter with a shallow moveset...he's this generations hogan Hogan was a good wrestler. He knew how to manipulate a crowd like no one else. I wouldn't compare Cena to Hogan. Well I would in saying that Vince is trying to make him this generation's Hogan...and failing. He's nowhere near as successful as Hogan. The Hogan formula worked in the 80s, this is 2008. His character is stale. He's a hell of a workhorse I'll give him that. But he oftentimes gets a mixed reaction, something Hogan never did. And I just dislike his push. As for movesets? I think it's important to at least have a diverse moveset to keep things fresh. It doesn't make the match obviously, for casual fans, but when you've been watching wrestling for 7 years you start to get jaded and notice patterns. Sooner or later, those kids are going to grow up and get tired of Cena. They need to freshen up his character...and soon. Turning heel worked wonders for Hogan, and the nWo still sold merchandise despite being heels. Should they do the same with Cena? Maybe not form a faction but I'd like to see a heel turn.

Who was the woman who ran in earlier?
-
Hate to see him get injured, but love to see him go. I'm gettin' sick of Batista quick.
-
Personally I don't think they need world title matches at the Royal Rumble. Focus all of the build on the Rumble match itself.
-
Why did I add the Boogeyman again? <.<
-
I wouldn't read into that too much...like it or not, HHH is one of the company's biggest stars, so of course some people are going to cheer for him. The fact that the crowd was split 50/50 still says something about Jeff, because if he wasn't at main event level they'd boo him or cheer HHH over him.
-
Did you even watch his match with Rey? Or Morrison? He definitely stepped up his game in those. Although I do agree working with Regal would be good in any case. Anybody working with Regal = good.

Knox's finisher is so terrible...

To set up Edge v. Hardy in the "former champion's rematch clause" match at the Rumble, leaving HHH free to win the Rumble match and set up HHH v. Hardy in the "You finally won a big one, now let's see you win the big one." WM main event. HHH doesn't have the win the rumble, though, he could always win the Elimination Chamber at No Way Out, or otherwise get interested into the title match somehow.

According to some reader report on wrestlezone.com... What the fuck is that shit?! He just wanted the damn hat...Obviously this is hearsay, but if true, is crap.

WWE General Discussion - December 2008

Yeah, it's probably because they wanted to put the IC belt on Punk, they couldn't have him defend the IC championship and the tag titles at the same time...By having the tag title change hands quietly it doesn't really hurt Punk at all, I guess... -
Can someone remind me what team I have currently and the dollar values? I haven't been keeping up with this game much...

Discussion: The Miz and John Morrison
JPopStarKami replied to Thanks for the Fish's topic in The WWE Folder
Alright VKM, when can start expecting my royalty checks to arrive? Guess someone in the E actually reads these things, huh? You know, I think if you can prove they got the idea from this board you can sue for royalties, actually. I don't know the legalities of it, but I think I remember my friend telling me that bookers didn't read the Internet for ideas because they could get in trouble if they stole any. Don't mind me, just speculating randomly. -

Anybody know if CM Punk's leg injury was legit or if he was just selling it expertly? -

Where do we go to vote? -
I suck at this game.
-
How about Snitsky?
-
Technically, it has. Their feud's been the 'build' for it.
-
That was epic win.

Would CM Punk count for Breakout star with his sudden push to Raw and then the world title picture (even if he's not in it at the moment)? -
just for a random Christian blooper. I didn't know this ever happened o.o
-
Only 3 I see winning it are Kofi, Punk, and Mysterio. If the brackets are set up in the order they're listed, we could potentially have Punk vs. Kingston for the finals.

Not a complete heel turn, but one where he starts snapping at fans who heckle him, maybe making demands on management for special treatment given all he does for the wwe and maybe starts cheating to win big matches to stay in the ME scene (but will feel guilty about it). It's wouldn't be a conscious heel turn, but more one out of doubt/depression and the demands of the business while being scared to hurting himself. It could have culminated at WM25 where Cena says he can't keep living like he is and if he can't win the title cleanly at WM he'll retire and move on. HBK could even be involved in the storyline, building off of his Flair match from last year. But that would require thought, something the writers don't have. Really, Vince needs to hire some of the people from this board instead of Hollywood sitcom writers.
