Nah. It was a good match that still kept Punk strong. A clusterfuck would have been predictable, glad they -didn't- do it.

F4W/WON WWE Notes - September 9th - 15th

You're right that another title chase will help him, but I disagree with the part of the fans never accepting him with it. He was pretty well accepted near the end of his run. I cite the chants he was getting during that handicap match vs. JBL and Jericho. -

So if they were considering Punk retaining as a possibility originally, does that mean they might put it back on him at the cage match next week? -
I'm sick of WWE black and whiting any instances of blood.
-
I think the crowd mic is broken, or are they really that dead? Gosh, Afa Jr. really looks like Umaga. <.<

What about 'next generation'?

Here's what I think happens concerning CM Punk tonight. Punk tries to cash in his rematch clause but Orton interrupts him and we have a match between the two, Team Priceless runs in for a beatdown, kicking off a feud.
-
That made Punk seem even more of an afterthought. The World champion of the brand gets laid out, and we see nothing more of him the rest of the night. After Adamle said Punk might not be able to make it, did they even give an update on Punk's condition? Find out tonight on Monday Night Raw!

Okay, I hope you all don't mind if I plug a website here... http://www.twistedexperience.com/forum/ This is a forum for another e-fed. A combination of the old 411fed and ECF federations...for those of you who don't know how things work, it's kind of different...rather than just writing matches, it's kind of like a creative writing contest...you make a character, give him a story, and you're booked against another character. Instead of writing a match against him...you write a 'behind the scenes' story, posting with your character and the other person's character. And the stories can get pretty damn deep, if you want them to. Or you can keep them simple. Almost ANY type of story is welcome, so don't be afraid to write what you want to write. You can even get involved in an existing storyline. At the end of one 'feuding session' the Creative team judges who wrote the best, and the matches are written to reflect that. Depending on how good overall the feud was, the match can be an epic contest. The best writer wins. So is anyone up for giving this a try? For those of you who haven't done it before it might be a little disorienting but I started last summer and I haven't looked back.

I think the term throwaway ppv, is a thing of the pass, they're all the same. Well, considering Unforgiven is only 3 weeks after Summerslam...
-
The only one who can win it is Batista or Punk, and I don't see them giving him a world title win at a throwaway PPV. He hasn't been champion for a long while, winning the world heavyweight championship back in a multi-man match with no fanfare doesn't seem like the story they're telling. One more Punk win here with the odds against him should completely legitimatize his reign, then maybe they could have him drop it to Jericho or Orton.

Which Justin guy?

F4W/WON WWE Notes - Summarized notes, radio notes, etc.

Vince is a fucking douchebag. Holding a grudge with him and Savage to this extent is just wrong. I mean, granted, it's just a video game, but still...just cuz Foley didn't want to be yelled at every Tuesday night over a headset doesn't mean he should start excluding him from things. -
Well, did you guys see anything that could have injured HBK? He doesn't look like he was favoring an arm or anything.

John Cena having major neck problems
JPopStarKami replied to Hunter's Torn Quad's topic in The WWE Folder
By the time Cena gets back from this, Punk should be well back into midcardville. What's your rationale for that? That would be a bad move, especially now. Considering Cena's going to be out for a while, the only big 'star' they have is Batista. With Cena injured, Punk is one of the guys they need to be building. -
So does Ortiz get 'Never Gonna Give You Up' as his theme song now?
-
Other than beating JBL, he ends pretty much every show on his back...how is that not like Rey Mysterio again? Because he wins his matches. Well...he's won most. I can only think of two in which he's actually been pinned: The handicap match (odds against him, obviously), and tonight, which was an 'iffy' finish at best. Also, they let him win a dark match for the benefit of his home town, so you can't say WWE doesn't care about their champ. Losing to Jericho on TV allows him to look like the 'face in peril'. Is he gonna lose his belt? The odds are really against him. But if WWE books him to win this one it could give him the final bit of credibility he needs. I'd rather they not take the belt off him in a multi-man match like this.

Which match are YOU watching? Unless that was sarcasm.

I think JBL lifted the shoulder to continue the punishment, and the ref said 'fuck it'.
-
Is anybody scared of a new Cold War or is it just me?
-
Hopefully they do the right thing and let him open the show, instead of giving us Batista and Cena with another boring promo in which both of them are going to get booed out of the building for, especially in Chicago.
-
Taker took a pretty huge bump in the TLC retirement match.
-
Based off of this list, I'd say WWE is going to lose this one.

I was thinking exactly the opposite. Not even close man. They haven't played up his straight edge background much other than a mention of "I'm straight edge so I'm disciplined", so this was refreshing and a way to advance the storyline. Now I want to see Punk beat up JBL more than anything. I may be a Punk mark but if it worked for me it should work for the fans. Actually, Rey disappeared when Kane started this storyline. I was disappointed at first, then I remembered Kane had said the man who wore that mask was 'scarred beyond all human recognition', so instead of being a pointless swerve, it makes me wonder what the hell he's done to Rey. Disagree with you on the 2 on 1 handicap last Raw. That was a good one. Versus Kane he wasn't that great though. Yeah, they've got a good feud there. As for Santino/Beth, it's refreshing. Not one of those cookie-cutter couples. He's a breath of fresh air to me. Don't know why but there's something different about him. He's better in his role as GM than he was as an announcer. And at least he's not shouting: "Tonight you get to face....KANE!" Really man, I think the writing has been just as good as it was. Everything seemed to click last night.
