I'm reasonably sure Kane started asking "Is he alive or dead" before, but Rey disappeared when he started carrying the bag out. Rey's last match was earlier in the night before Kane started the bag thing. Still makes sense, because you can say Kane abducted him after his match or whatever the hell he did to him.

Yeah, that's about it... and Kane laughed at Adamle for thinking Kane had his old mask in the bag. So now this begs the question: What the hell has Kane done with Mysterio?
-
Something about this just smells of BS. Also, he rides a motorcycle? I don't buy it, sorry to say.
-
Who the hell would buy those seats, especially the ones behind the titantron?
-
That's the only one I can see that might be an issue. Generally the wrestlers have to ask for their release and it's up to WWE whether they grant it or not. Does Raven have an e-mail address? Someone should send him that list. Though if he went ahead and filed suit already, he likely did his research and already has knowledge akin to this on the other hand.

I can't say for sure. I doubt it's rigged. If I made it sound bad, I didn't mean to. The matches weren't five star classics, but I had fun.

Yeah, I was surprised too. He was booed pretty heavily.

House Show Report: Wildwood, NJ 8/8/08 Pre-Show Block Party Food was sold and there were some guys from a radio station there for whatever reason, and there was a dunk tank game where if you dunked the guy you got to go into a money chamber and grab as much play money as possible. The top five winners got ringside seats. They also had games on the stage for Summerslam DVDs and autograph wristbands (Yes, you needed a wristband to get an autograph. Supposedly they also gave them out to the first 100 people there, of course I came after. Wish I'd have known this.) I stayed til Punk came out then I went across the street to the venue to wait in line. I was close to the front row so my view was a WHOLE lot better than last time. And prime for taking pictures. The Show The usual warnings and notices, no laser pens or video cams, etc, then Mike Chioda came out to welcome us and introduce the first match. (He got a chant from the smark row near me). We were also told to vote on our cellphones the stipulation for the main event. Fall Count Anywhere, 2/3 Falls, No DQ. Kane b. Matt Striker in a squash match. James Curtis (I -think-, he got released today though, this was probably his last match) b. Charlie Haas. Haas drew a surprising amount of heel heat. D'Lo Brown b. Snitsky. I thought this was going to be a squash, but it was a really entertaining match. Lots of chants on Snitsky. "Brush your teeth!" "You can't wrestle!" and one kid shouted next to me "Stop smiling, I just ate!" William Regal b. Jamie Noble. Sub-par match, crowd was mostly dead for it. Kofi b. Santino in an Intercontinential Championship match. The smark row kept cheering Santino and booing Kofi, which created an interesting little dueling chant at some point. Mickie James b. Katie Lea in a Women's Championship match. Mickie James got a pretty good reaction. Cena & Cryme Time b. Jericho & Team Priceless. Jericho got a pop when he first came out, then booed when he got on the mic and cut a promo saying HBK would never come back because he beat him to a pulp, and he wished he could do the same to everyone in the arena. Cena came out to nuclear heat, blew the roof off. The smark row booed him and some people near me were starting to get irritated. Mega-hot match, Cena won with the STFU. CM Punk b. JBL in a No DQ Match for the World Heavyweight Championship. JBL came out and insulted the hometown, and said that we came to see him and it would be the greatest day in our lives when we saw him win the title. Well it seems things didn't turn out that way of course. At this point the crowd seemed worn out, but Punk was still decently over and JBL hated. Had some trouble getting a chant going til later in the match. It wasn't the best match but the use of weapons helped it out some. Punk won with the Go 2 Sleep and posed for the crowd. Biggest Pops John Cena + Cryme Time CM Punk Kofi Kingston Mickie James Biggest Heat JBL Jericho Snitsky Charlie Haas Decent show, I'll give it three stars. I would have rated the matches but I'm not really good at that. Mostly focused on getting plenty of pictures and just in general being entertained.

Ah, it's a Full Impact Pro one. Dangit I wanted ROH. But I saw it used for 5 dollars and it was the only one there...
-
Which version? Uhm...how do I tell? On the cover it says "World Wrestling Network & ROH Present: The Best of CM PUNK" It also has the Big Vision Entertainment logo on it.
-
I bought a copy of The Best of CM Punk today at the mall, so maybe I'll bring that for Punk to sign.
-
Here's what it says for me: It doesn't give a specific location for it though. Is it at the Convention Center or somewhere else?
-
Another thing about that block party...they sent me an e-mail telling me about it, but they never said where it was. o.o
-
I vouch for a Pepsi can. And then eBay that can. Good idea, though I might keep it for myself actually.
-
CM Punk's going to be at a WWE block party before the house show near me. I was thinking of asking for an autograph, what should I get him to sign? I don't have a T-shirt or any of his merchandise yet.
-
Where did you get these? I'm curious to read more.
-
I think HHH needs to turn heel. I don't buy him as a face at all and he bores me even more.
-
He's had more than when he was jobbing with the MITB case, at least. He also had a pretty good promo at GAB. I expect JBL and Punk will have a promo war on the go-home Raw. At least, that's what I hope. As I've said, I dig the story they're building. Hopefully Jericho doesn't run in and kill the match.
-
I still think Punk vs. JBL is fine. JBL is almost certainly losing...he has injuries and the only two top faces who he can face are feuding against each other. They can do that, and THEN move on to other feuds. Punk vs. Kane, Punk vs. Orton when he comes back, Punk vs. Jericho... there's more heels for a face champion to face than faces for a heel champion to face. I think Punk might drop it against Jericho though when it comes to that. And someone mentioned Punk vs. Cena, I think that would be a disaster because you risk Punk getting booed, not what you want with a champion you want cheered. Do not do face vs. face without establishing Punk as a credible champion. Maybe down the road they can do it, but not at Summerslam where Punk still needs that win for credibility.
-
Punk vs. JBL in my opinion is the best world title match on the card. You guys might think JBL sucks, but I'm digging the storyline they're building. JBL calls Punk a paper champion, and Punk has to prove him wrong. If Punk goes over, and he should, then that gives him a huge boost of credibility and wraps up a nice little storyline.
-
That was an awesome match, and the crowd was hot for it. I marked out totally.
-
I asked this earlier but didn't get a response it seems...when should I arrive at my house show if I want to get near the front of the line so I can get merch/concessions and beat the crowd? My show starts at 8...

I have an idea for the WHC match. Here's what I'd do if WWE were going to go JBL vs. Punk. JBL would cut a promo like this: JBL: "Punk, you keep saying you already beat me. You pinned me ONE time. One time when John Cena and his thugs distracted me. It was a fluke win, just like the way you won the title. You know you can't beat me one-on-one. I know it, everybody knows it. So I've had a match already made that makes fluke wins impossible. Punk, you pinned me once---but you can't do it twice in one night. You'll be lucky to get even one...in a two out of three falls match. A true test of endurance, and we'll see who the real champion is. You may get a fluke roll up, you might squeeze out one fall...but not two. At Summerslam, I'm going to expose you for the paper champion you are." I'm not sure how Punk answers this promo, but obviously he goes over at Summerslam, thus proving JBL wrong. To sum it up, I'm suggesting a 2/3 falls match. The main reasoning behind this is that Punk already pinned JBL, well JBL can say that was a fluke, so they can have that match at Summerslam, where Punk goes over decisively. The story seems to be that Punk needs to prove himself, well, what better way than this? He proves himself by going the distance with JBL in this match and winning, and he shuts the mouth of a hated heel, which should win over the rest of the fans who haven't accepted him yet. Thoughts?

Also Punk related, from the Useless Trivia Department, by winning at the Bash, Punk became only the third wrestler in history to have his first WWE World Title match on PPV whilst going in as the champion; the other two being Hulk Hogan, who won his first title before PPV was even around, and Bret Hart, who won his first title in a dark match So basically, he's getting the Bret Hart style title run?
