  1. Triple H vs. Vladimir Koslov (vs. Edge)

Guys, they made the match terrible ON PURPOSE. They wanted to make the crowd scream for Hardy, and we did. When Vickie came out I knew that it would be Edge, not Jeff, in the match. The pop when she said "he's here!" was big, but I think the pop when Edge's music hit was just as big. It's so good to see someone other than Triple H as champion on Smackdown. Hardy's return was cool, but if he was good enough to do the run-in, why wasn't he good enough to compete? (in kayfabe)

My guess is because they wanted to continue with the 'Hardy is going for the title!' storyline without jobbing him out. He earned his place in the title match, but oh no! Edge screwed him! (most likely he was the one who knocked him out). So now Hardy has a reason to go after Edge, and he has the title. It's a perfect feud setup. Maybe this culminates in Hardy winning it at Royal Rumble or Wrestlemania.

  2. Man, I almost gave in to an upper deck row 6 middle of the arena offer (I kept "No Deal"-ing off to the side lower bowl row 20s) but when I said "ok, last try" I ended up with row 6 floor seats. Great success.

I can't stand the ticketmaster ticket offering system. Several years back, a friend and I were trying to get tickets to a Smackdown taping (the one before Armageddon 2004 with the awesome Eddy/Undertaker/Booker T vs JBL's Cabinet, main event). About 6 times in a row, I had been offered the same tickets in the level just off the floor, about 8 or so rows up. I figured I would give it one more shot, and ended up with 3rd row floor sets straight across from the camera. Why floor and next-section-up tickets cost the same, I will never know, but needless to say it's still the most fun I've ever had at a wrestling show.

So wait, it gives you a random seating?

I remember I was going to a RAW house show in Wildwood and the first time I got floor seats fairly close. But I took too long in purchasing them due to some real life debates with the person I was going with about payment method and such...so we had to go again. And the next tickets we got were at least a row closer, and right next to the aisle so we could see. I mean, there was still the problem of fans running up to the barricade so they could snap photos of wrestlers, but I had fun and I got awesome pictures of Punk with the WHC (sadly, they're a bit blurry because I had to take them real quick, off topic, if anyone knows a way I can fix that, let me know via PM).

So anyway, like I was asking, there's no real order to the seats they offer you?

  3. Yeah, Regal isn't winning the IC title next week. It wouldn't fit his current character to have that belt in the first place.

    And what is that?

Well, in my own small opinion of course, the current King of WWE, the man who, because he's English, thinks he's better than everybody else, just wouldn't fit well with the Intercontinental championship.

He's the King and has his Queen by his side.. no midcard title for him.

So he's basically King Booker with a real English accent.

That's what makes him different from King Booker. King Booker was a faker. I mean, neither of them are 'real' royalty but Regal's act is more serious, while Booker's was mostly comedy.

  4. It never seems to fail. Everytime a new guy comes in and has some success and is making a steady rise in the WWE, either the injury bug or the wellness policy hits them.

Who else has this happened to? I seem to recall CM Punk dodging both of those, for one counter-example.

  5. John Cena is the best thing going for the WWE right now. Some of you need to get off of this workrate and mat skills shit and focus on what matters, ratings and crowd attendance. When Ken Doane and Gunner Scott (no one really gives a shit about these two) sell out arenas, then I'll change my mind.

I posted that over two years ago...

I'm glad I was right about that. I can't believe some people thought Ken Doane and Gunner Scott would be main eventing Wrestlemania by now...

Yes, but it's not all about theatrics either. Fans DO notice when you can't tell the difference between a wrist lock and a headlock. The Great Khali comes to mind. Also, one person can't do the same thing over and over and not be booed...fans eventually got tired of Hogan's deal too and his character had to evolve. WWE isn't letting Cena's character evolve or anything.

  6. And Priceless retain when DiBiase pins Punk, relatively clean.

I'd be pissed off at that, to tell you the truth, but you know what in the end it doesn't matter. Punk isn't being 'berried'. My personal theory? They're having a title change. They expected the title match to win at Cyber Sunday but it didn't, so they're just having the title change tonight. Even if they lose, I predict a screwjob ending to keep the feud going.

  7. I had no problem with the match. But Jeff Hardy has lost to Triple H about 11 times in a row now. That's no good.

3, I think. One in the Elimination Chamber (which had Jeff kicking out of a pedigree and surviving to the last pinfall), and the two title matches. Before that Jeff beat HHH with a roll-up. A roll-up, yes, but a win.

If they really want to capitalize on this feud, have HHH turn heel and take the program to Wrestlemania. Jeff wins Royal Rumble and faces HHH in the main event.

  8. Lame. There's no defending an HHH victory here. Hardy looks like shit.

There's no defending his victory (except for the fact that it's kind of a low-key PPV and Jeff winning here wouldn't have been proper), but there is defending that match. Hardy would look like shit if he had jobbed in a squash.

Getting THAT close, I like to think that on a big show he'll finally pull it off. It makes me want to see him get one more try at it.

And to those who think Jeff is stupid for doing 2 Swantons, just look at what happened last time he only did one. He wanted to make sure HHH was down and out. It makes senses considering the finish of their last match.

Anyone who shits on this match just isn't satisfiable. It was a good match and I look forward to seeing their third championship match someday.

  9. And the guy that said it is going to sound ridiculous nailed why I think so badly of this move. It just makes the show seem stupid and hard to like. There is much better television all over the place, and I only watch out of habit because I have been watching it non-stop for 25 years. I am addicted to watching wrestling.

Kami said before when someone referred to her as "he" that she's female. I wish people wouldn't leave their gender blank to avoid confusion.

    Fixed now.

  10. The following is from WWE.com:

    Lance Cade released

    Written: October 14, 2008

World Wrestling Entertainment has come to terms on the release of Raw Superstar Lance Cade as of October 14, 2008. WWE wishes Lance the best in all future endeavors.

Now, why did this happen? I'll tell you. Because they just lost interest in him, and were lazy with him when it came to the HBK/Jericho feud. He felt like a wildcard, randomly doing Jericho's bidding, maybe doing a run in, cutting a generic promo here and there... That wasn't the right role for him, and bad booking pretty much screwed him.
