    CZW 5th Anniversary results

Apparently this was sorted by others without the knowledge of Zandig. So if they decided that it was worth doing that they obviously appreciated what he's done for the company despite what internet people may think they know. Show looked like a standard CZW show, some good looking stuff on the uppercard and random meh stuff on the undercard. Probably wasn't the best '5th Anniversary Show' (especially with IWAMS and ROH tending to pull off fantastic anniversary shows)

Japanese Alien Quadrilogy Box Set Pic

Ressurection had it's moments (mostly through visuals). I didn't not enjoy it, just some mindless flick to marvel at then forget (allthough I do realise the argument that it could have been so much more)

ARTICLE: BSB's depar. apparently just 1 ex. of CZW

Thank god that Mondo thing turned out to be a semi work to up the suprise of him turning up at the 5th anni show because that (to me) seemed like the worst of the actions listed in the article.

    Backseat Boys gone from CZW

People are reporting different things, it's all a tad confusing. Some say that Kashmere quit the company over a World1/Corino deal and Trent left with him. Then again Zandig has been known to make the stupidest decisions known to man before so.... Gonna see how this one plays out, Justice Pain left at the same sort of time last year an in my opinion (I know long term CZW fans have disliked the current direction but for me they're doing some of the most interesting stuff yet) 2003 was a darn good year. So it could do well, or could prove disasterous. Sandman, I think one thing you may have overlooked with your prediction is that CZW fans are very loyal (so are ROH guys but they don't go to CZW shows as much as the other way round) which I guess could hurt them (see XPW, allthough that wasn't just CZW fans). But it's feasible.

    IWA-MS Results from tonight....

He's now going to be on all wXw shows apparently, but they only run one show a month at the moment. I heard he was doing a tour of europe but it's entirely possible he's moving

    (ARTICLE) 3PW: Nostalgia never dies...

It may have been the selection of shows I went to but the CZW crowd at COD5 was much much better than the ROH crowd at 29/11. Allthough there were a couple of 'borings' at COD5 it was nothing compared to how the crowd was behaving during say the gauntlet match at ROH. There were far less smarky comments at the CZW show and just far more cheering, booing, chanting wrestlers names not people trying to get themselves over on every chant. However, addmitedly I'm comparing CZW biggest show of the year to ROH's show in a new area so the crowds may have been less enthusiastic.

    CZW 5th Anniversary Show

The XSS is a 12 man tourney, 6 first rounds, 3 in the 2nd round, the third round is a 3 way which ends when one man is eliminated (ala BoTB) and the final is the last two guys. This however is spread over 11 months with one match a month. It's an interesting idea and i'm interested to see how it actually plays out.

    CZW 5th Anniversary Show

Card is already shaping up to be fantastic, especially with possible world one involvement. I think Zandig vs. New Jack is happening too (with New Jack being 'punished' by being put in TOD3 if he looses), and quite frankly I'd rather have Zandig as champ than New Jack

    Street Fight 2k4

Show looks pretty fun. The New Jack promo is said to be hillarious, initially the idea didn't really appeal but from the consistently good reaction of the fans at the show it looks fun. Buncha good look wrestling matches there with a nice mix of hardcore, strongstyle and flying. Credible and Devito are interesting additions. Credible I'm pretty meh about but I haven't seen much of his new stuff so I'll wait to pass judgement. Devito is a good addition to the CZW Heavyweight scene IMHO. I guess they're both being brought in to build up the heavyweight scene in the same way that the tags are getting brought in. Looks like Reefer/Sonjay is coming which looks good based on what I've heard of other matches they've had.
  11. Admittedly I haven't seen a lot of That 70's show but I don't get the licence plate thingy given that an early episode I watched had Eric's 17th Birthday and one of the newer ones had Eric's 18th Birthday. And given that it's gone up once per series wouldn't that make them all like 23, 24ish by now?
  12. The British series was actually darn good. One of the main reasons for this was that the contestants were pretty annoying and so it was fun to watch the main guy put em though hell. For example, for one macho kinda guy they had this super camp therapist (most of the guys are cliched) who managed to cause huge problems for the guy at this party (which was cringeworthy even before the actor turned up) and later on forced the guy to come out to some of his friends. They also had various other charaters such as a hypercondriac geek (who posed as some girls boyfriend) and what could essentially be classed as a weird stalker. Now, theres probably just as many annoying Americans as Brits who people can enjoy seeing being uncomfortable and providing they can find a good actor to do the improv (it's quite the task, to stay in that character for 2 - 3 days and also think of things to do that'll make good TV). So the show could work, providing Kutcher doesn't decide to be 'the friend'

    Boohbah

Are they showing on TV yet in the US? Boohbah is a program shown a couple of times a week. And it's pretty much the same as that site (the people are presenters)

Cheers for the info Agent but I'm moving around too much over here to be able to order anything mail order. Any suggestions to shops (none of the newsagents or tobaconnists I've been to had any)

Can you not buy filters seperatly in America? That's what I do generally, you get the filters seperate and just stick em in when rolling (which is none too hard honestly, with a bit of practice you can do them walking along, or in any other situations). Plus we have fantastic menthol filters which take any rolling tobbaco and make it taste like menthol tobbaco. And any word on shops that stock the camel exotic blends? I'm in NJ if that helps

    Potential additions to TNA

Erm, Samoa Joe please. He's big, can do a variety of styles and is just generally great. Apart from American Dragon he's pretty much the only top level indy guy not brought in and his style could work there far better than AmDrag's

    Smoking Lounge

Wheres the best place to find the Camels Exotic Blend. I'm in the US for a while and love to try interestingly flavoured cigarettes. They just don't seem to be sold in the usual newsagenty places.

East Coast Indy Wrestling Update #16

Barber, barber, barber. Whilst I did not exactly mean Copy and Paste I meant copying without thinking. Now think very very very carefully, look at this (from your report) Next, we look at the thread entitled "Nick Mondo Retires" posted this very board (in which you posted). Look at this choice snippet from Mondo's commentary (pasted in that thread) Now think a little. Don't you think it's a remarkable coincidence that Nick Berk and Nick Mondo both decided to retire in the last week. Both to pursue Art at College? And the fact that no-one else has mentioned Berk's retirement? You simply copied what the observer said, without thinking that it could be a mistake

Collyer, TEDDY HART, Slyk, Stryker, CZW, Shark Boy

Careful guys, the promoter still owes wrestlers money for a show 3 years ago which never happened. Given the number of wrestlers appearing the cost to run this show must be enormous, something smells a wee bit fishy to me. I just wouldn't advise travelling too far, but then again, I may be being a little negative

East Coast Indy Wrestling Update #16

Tehehe, that's what happens when you just copy and paste. If you'd have checked sources and maybe payed attention rather than blindly copying information you'd have realised your mistake. And also, CZW are running a different place in PA in Jan and then returning to the Viking Hall on Feb and March.

    CZW Night of Infamy 2

Barber, how is the CoD illogical. Illogical denotes a lack of logic, the CoD match is a logical match. Theres this big heel stable and the face whos feuding with them makes a team of his own to face the heel stable in a big match makes perfect sense to me. How is Acid/Rave spoiled? Rave beat B-Boy, he beat Mamaluke, he wants to get that belt of Acid which he came so close to winning. He's being built up as to be more credible vs. Acid by going over some other guys. However the dynamic of power is still being shown, he failed in his inteferance in Acid's match (Acid excels in inteferance and all that). Dutt/Ruckus is a little quickly done, but was gonna happen. And the show itself has what sounds like 2 excellent matches, one fun brawl and some general interesting matches (like Acid / Maff). People who were actually at the card are giving it good reports, and I trust them more than your 'psychic ability to know the quality of cards from reading results'

    Top 5 indy guys....

Iceberg, Jeff G Bailey, Rainman and CM Punk have all worked CZW. Iceberg and Punk have both worked ROH..... Allthough it was actually minutes away 'cos Metal Maniac posted one a minute after you Just being pendantic

    CZW "Uprising" Thread

I'm sorry, but if you actually think about that statement it's very very wrong. How is taking a 3 on 1 beating 'putting over'? Yeah, Acid got beat up by him, but he was beaten up by Rave and Gage in their matches. However he narrowly beat them (so he didn't bury them or anything) If you notice, they're also building up Rave as a more credible challenger to the belt. He narrowly looses to Acid at the tourney, beats Mamaluke in an Iron Man match and I imagine that he'll beat B-Boy. This way it makes for a good storyline rather than 'Jimmy Rave suddenly wins belt in tournament'. Show looks good fun. Pity about Truth Martini's lack of being there. Either way the 4 way, Homicide/B-Boy and Rave/Mamaluke look darn good and theres some fun spotfests and hardcore stuff too. Plus, CZW are obviously trying to work on the booking (as evidented by the Rave/Acid program and the continuation of HiV) I think Mondo is simply unsure if he'll be back in time for CoD5. He's only had a shorttime off and I imagine he's trying to work out if he can do it or not. I think people may be overreacting a tad on the whole him retiring front.

    FWA "British Uprising" card

I imagine that Homicide and Credible will face UK guys. Jonny Storm doesn't have an opponent yet, Storm/Homicide could be fun. The Family vs. Ulf Herman is actually The Family vs. Ulf Herman and a partner (who may or may not be Balls Mahoney) Tighe/Williams will be super tech wrestling and Zebra Kid/Barker will be very very stiff so it all looks good

A tag team reunion in Memphis...

Guess its their allowing of WWE guys to work certain Indy shows. Ala Al Snow and Jerry Lawler (all though I'm not sure about Snow, he could have been released and I wouldn't have realised)
