  1. One appearance at Royal Rumble 1997 (in San Antonio), and a couple of cameos at San Antonio. Nothing full-time though.

TSM Poster Tournament II: Round II

Well, I'm not voting against myself. That would just be silly. Nevermortal Kotz The Dames (sorry Zack, but he pays me to...that reminds me, Dames, you've missed my last...oh, 120 paychecks or so!) What do you look like...

Actually, "beer nuts" and "pussyfoot" kind of fit into that category too.

What's wrong with Hot Pockets? I think he was molested by a Hot Pocket as a small child.

100 Most Challenged Books to be Banned

While I can sort of understand Of Mice and Men being there... Spoiler (Highlight to Read): since the guy gets shot to death and all... ...that is just an awesome story. I bet the lame 1939 movie where they changed the ending is acceptable though

Stevens was brought in in late-1982 to help cement Jimmy Snuka's face turn (he piledrove Snuka on the concrete floor at a TV taping before doing jobs to him around the horn). Not sure he stuck around much more than six months. Yes. In fact, when Pat Patterson was doing color commentary with Vince on play-by-play, they wore the same ugly suit.

Unforgiven Results and early match ratings...

See, arguments like this on why I go to a bar and spend 20 bucks on food and alcohol rather than 35 on the show itself.
  8. Like I said, it was pretty much a series of house show matches until the TV match and never really built up. But that's really the closest thing I could think of to an actual feud for face Backlund circa 1993.
  9. 1. Backlund had a house show feud with Shawn Michaels for the IC Title (mostly as a sub for an outgoing Marty Jannetty, but one of their matches aired on the 1993 SummerSlam Spectacular show). 2. Outside of that brief series with Diesel right after the title change, I can't think of anything. They never really used Backlund as anything more than filler during his comeback.
  10. I think that's right, but that was in December 1972. Who knows whether that match was taped, and even if it was, whether Verne Gagne kept the tape or taped over it?

    Test vs. Scott Steiner

Um...someone might want to order one of the replays and be surprised?

    9/22 in the W/WWF/E

Has anybody ever found a halfway decent copy of this card that includes the Backlund-Race match? I wanted to use that match for a today in Wrestling History column, but the only version of this show I've ever seen on tape doesn't have it.
  13. TSM Exclusive: Interview With Tim Shady The Jake Roberts story alone is worth the read. Just when you thought you knew everything about the man...

  15. I'm not sure footage of Flair's first victory even exists, at least in complete form.
  16. Back in the early 80s when they announced the time of the fall at TV tapings
  17. Why is it only in-ring time counts for the shortest run but the time includes the walk down the aisle for the longest runs?
  18. The last two (both in 1992) were on FOX

This man speaks the truth. Thanks for the compliment brotha. I'm a dude. But like the song says, "Dude looks like a lady"
  20. I'd nominate the last one on NBC (April 1991) for the Bret Hart-Ted DiBiase match alone.

Thoughts on the Iron Man Match

See, you don't have to worry about that from me because I'm too damn honest to ever work for WWE. I'm biased toward Lesnar and Angle, but still gave it what i felt to be a fair rating

SSD is just the most incredibly sweet and understanding person I've ever had the pleasure of knowing.
  23. I really don't care how I do in the tournament, really, because it's no concern of mine if people like me more than, say, The Dames. But if I'm the thing, I might as well play to win, right?

Wasn't there a Dr. X that was doing house shows around 1985? That was Danny Davis. Maybe Mr. X or something like that. I know I have a tape of him wrestling under the hood someplace.
