    SmackDown recap is up

SmackDown from JHawk's Beak (9/18/2003) Match of the Year candidate? Not in my opinion, although I certainly enjoyed it. Check it out.

    Ultimate acts of Cheap Heat

Has anybody mentioned Pete Rose's promo at WrestleMania XIV? "I left tickets for Bill Buckner, but he couldn't bend down to pick them up." "My friend Bucky Dent says hello!" "Last time I was here we kicked your ass!" Great shit there

    The NFL Report: Week 3

One quick comment about Matt Bryant: The clock doesn't start on a kickoff until the ball is touched, so using the extra bounce or two to tick time off the clock really isn't a solution. That was a godawful kick though.

    Sept 19 in the W/WWF/E

Umm......? If I'm remembering correctly, that was a Saturday, so one of the shows was probably a matinee and the other one in the evening. EDIT: Dammit Graham, you had to beat me to it, didn't you?

Nice to see they loaded that MSG show. Well, at least Backlund-Muraco had a chance to not suck.

    Funniest WWE Moment This Year

Can you elaborate on that? Sure. Al Snow was interviewing Stevie Richards at catering with Tommy Dreamer seated at the table eating, and out of nowhere Victoria hopped up on the table and went "Look Stevie! I'm Godzilla!" while stomping around the top of the table.

    SmackDown recap is up

I'd largely agree with that, but I want to know why the fuck nobody goes for the bridge after the rolling Germans anymore. I'm guessing it's because of the neck surgeries and stuff, but that defeats the purpose of the rolling Germans to me.

    Ooh, looky. Diatribe.

Hell yeah! I'm finally being rewarded after a year of putting up with shitty Raws and the all-McMahon episodes of SmackDown!

LOL Well, if I wouldn't have had to work, I probably would dropped the ten bucks because the lineup looked good on paper.

Good review, Dames. You just saved me ten bucks!

    Champion Vs. Champion

When did this take place? They were scheduled for a title vs. title series (one at MSG, which would have aired on the MSG network), but Hogan lost the title to Andre a week before their first meeting.

As long as Russo's with that company, I don't think that's an actual guarantee...

    New WWE DVD

Yeah, but that match was a regular tag team match. No cage. They did have a cage match in December 1986. It wasn't nearly as good as the bloodbath match, but it was still pretty damn good.

    MPAA vs RIAA

I want you to explain one thing to me, and I mean this in all seriousness. You've been saying "But it's stealing. You're breaking the law." We've been saying the law is stupid and you're all "But it's the law." My question for you is this. If breaking the stupid laws is so wrong and evil and makes you such a bad person... Then how the hell do you explain Jesus Christ, who was arrested more than some career criminals?

    Isabel takes Ironman

I'm just glad that it shouldn't affect NE Ohio since we got half an hour of SmackDown preempted for a tornado that affected almost nobody in the viewing area and never touched down anyway.

    Parent appeals daughter's expulsion

Who was the first to get off -- you or her?... That could be taken a couple of different ways... I think he's asking who was the first one to get off THE SCHOOL BUS
  21. Exactly. Why should Jerry Lynn leave James Mitchell's Army of Darkness in MLW all of a sudden just because he's still a face in TNA? Why should CM Punk's feud with Raven in MLW and ROH stop without reason just because he's a lackey to him currently in TNA? Point well taken here, but let me also add one thing to this. Many of the fans that follow TNA also follow ROH (I'm among them). Many of those also follow MLW. While we all know they're separate promotions with separates set of storylines, why shouldn't they at least keep people aligned the same way? Particularly when you consider ROH has been allowed to have NWA title matches on their shows? What sense did it make for Christopher Daniels and Low-Ki to feud for months in a feud so highly publicized that even Pro Wrestling Illustrated did several stories on it...only to have Daniels and Low-Ki team up in TNA while the ROH feud was still going on? How do you think MLW fans feel when they tune into their first edition of TNA after watching MLW for the last six months and seeing people who have been fighting each other teaming up while others who have been teaming up don't even associate with each other? It's not like TNA s undercutting some local rinky dink fed in the Nashville area. They're trying to undercut what are arguably the two top indy promotions in the country by starting storylines that make no sense with existing storylines in feds with as much of a following as TNA. I'm not saying either fed should change storylines, but they should work around what's going on in them for the sake of the fans' sanity.

    Parent appeals daughter's expulsion

I only have one question: Where the fuck were girls like that when I was 13?
  23. If they catch you with the camera, they will take it from you, so be careful. But if you can sneak it in, go for it.

A New York 12 year old sued for file swapping

I'm sure they didn't like taping off the radio, either --- but a) taping off the radio isn't exatly convenient (you don't know, for certain, when the song you're looking for will be played), b) it was not as wide-spread as current file-swapping, c) only a few songs GET radio airplay, and d) they got some money from the stations (which are not permitted to play music without paying a licensing fee). Your justification for downloading the CD is still an attempt to justify crime. Why not wait for somebody else to get the CD? Why not go on-line and find somebody who has the CD and see what they have to say about it? What you did was wrong. -=Mike While I am not necessarily disagreeing with your viewpoint Mike, I still think there's too much of a grey area here. What's the closest thing to a CD on the market? Probably DVDs and/or video games, right? With those products, you can rent them and decide for yourself whether to purchase them or not, because you've got an opportunity to use the entire product. But with music CDs, it's not like you can go to Blockbuster and rent "St. Anger". The RIAA is essentially saying "You'll get to hear a third of this CD over the next year--if you're lucky--so buy it and then hear what you're missing." If we're relying on radio airplay alone, half the bands that make really good stuff would never see a dime from record sales because nobody would realize they even have albums out, and yet we're supposed to use that as a means of saying "I've GOT to buy this CD." Why should I trust some review in a newspaper or online? Hell, some people don't agree with my reviews of SmackDown, and I'm sure some people wonder how some entertainment reporter can like a CD that 85% of the public thinks sucks ass. Maybe my friends don't listen to Metallica and prefer Phil Collins or Kenny G, so I can't listen to the CD to make the judgment. Something like that could hurt sales as much as people downloading them for free off of KaZaA or Napster. The RIAA could use filesharing technology to their advantage and make their money, but instead they're pissing everybody off because they think they'll lose money otherwise. They won't. I work at Circuit City, and we sell more CDs of shitty artists than we do of anything else in the store. And why is that? Because they downloaded all or part of it and said "This is pretty cool, I'm gonna go get it."

The One and Only RAW THREAD

Anybody else notice that they don't want to hype a thing like what matches are on the card tonight? That can only mean one thing. 6 "impromptu" matches that somehow still see the show ending by 11:03!
