UWC TV Taping On-Site Report (8/19/2003) Yeah
-
I had 25 of them overnight, and I never open them.

Give it up. If you actually want to be WWE Champion or some shit, then your size is gonna screw ya up. If, however, you want to do it for the sake of doing it, go for it. Hell, I've had an offer to train already (he runs a fed and uses students from his school), and I'm smaller than you are. I'll stick to refereeing or managing though since I have no interest in getting permanently injured missing a moonsault or something.
-
Then there's me, who nobody misses when I don't post for a couple of days anyway.
-
Using the RaveX update? Edge and Chavo start in OVW since they're hurt, so they always get released by day 4. That helps my TNA hugely too.
-
So the rating went up when fewer people were even capable of watching it? That's WWE logic, alright! OK, they're saying that the people who couldn't see it weren't factored in, but they always try to translate the rating into "number of viewers", and this gives the impression that more people saw it when there's no way in hell. My head hurts.

Ozzy tries to sing "Take Me Out to the Ballgame"
JHawk replied to MarvinisaLunatic's topic in Sports
You'd think the Cubs would make sure the person they get to sing the song would actually know the words before they got into the booth. -
Also true, as I think the difference between a 1.0 in cable and a 1.0 in broadcast is around 200,000 homes. So a Raw 4.0 = app. 3 million homes while a SmackDown 4.0 would equal about 3.8 million homes. So the audiences are about the same each week, depending on preemptions of SmackDown

Because UPN affiliates show local sports programming in that timeslot, so half the country can't find the damned thing.
-
It actually kept my interest, which makes it better than every Test match since SummerSlam 99 by default.

I actually just saw this for the first time in years yesterday, and ****1/4 might be a bit high, but it still isn't offensive or anything. I was at that show live, and the crowd was hot for it, particularly when it looked like Vader was going to get the title. And if you pay close attention to the moonsault Shawn hit to win it, Shawn's knee hits Vader in the side of the face, which IMO makes it believable as a finish. Now, as far as Shawn cussing Vader for Michaels being a dipshit and not actually trying to hit the flying elbowdrop properly, that's another story. I mean shit Shawn, you're the one that put him in that spot, why are you pissed that you couldn't hit your move?

Think back to Don Mattingly, who had a mustache for years and Steinbrenner still made him shave it off. You mean to tell me you can't still look professional with a mustache?
-
It's a game. You know, fun? I have a hard time having fun if I'm told I have to look a certain way, which is why I've never enjoyed going to work.
-
Maybe I'm confusing you with everybody else in the WWE folder. But nobody on the Yankees is allowed to look like the bag guy on the corner. It's baseball, not an audition for an Army training video.
-
DAMN HIM! DAMN HIM! Again, I'd say going from the"Grizzly" look to his present look is a step up. Aren't you the same guy who complains when WWE makes somebody cut their hair? "Oh my God, they might get confused with Triple H despite being better and looking nothing like him!" In this case, it's worse, because everybody on that team has to have the short hair with no facial hair thing. It's worse than the Army.

This is like how Indians fans still boo Manny Ramirez whenever the Red Sox play at the Jake. That extra half a million dollars looks real good when the Boston fans aren't as forgiving, doesn't it Manny? At least Rolen admitted he didn't want to play in Philly, unlike other players who say they're with their team for life and leave for the money.
-
The Browns D scares me with all of last year's starting linebackers off the team... But at least we have a Qb that might look for a second option if the go-to receiver is covered.
-
I seem to remember him walking down the aisle during Slamboree 95. Haven't seen it in a while though.

I can't speak for your state, HBK, but in Ohio it says flat out in the book they give you to study for your permit that you're supposed to go with the flow of traffic. You're probably still screwed if you try to fight it (your word against the cop's will almost always go to the cop), but I'd probably do the same thing.

Who knows, AM? There are some sick people out there. Hopefully none of them are going to this message board anytime soon. Once again, great news. Now have Bobby co-host Confidential with Mean Gene!

Does anybody still read the Torch outside of their website anymore though? I mean, what would Cornette get if he won a lawsuit, 50 bucks and a free subscription? And as a journalism major at Kent State, we were told that using words like "rumored" and "allegedly" does not clear you in a potential libel case, but even without those words it's hard for anyone to lose a case like that unless there's malicious intent.
-
You're implying baseball has ever had an unretarded commissioner, and I don't remember one in my lifetime. But that's for another thread.
-
It's been a long time since anything in professional wrestling made me mark out. Thank God this was it.

Provided the hospital lets me off the respirator, I'll certainly try.
