Will have to edit in the retrosheet link later since the computer at work doesn't allow for right clicking ( ) but...
August 5, 2001 - The Cleveland Indians, down to the Seattle Mariners 14-2 going into the bottom of the seventh, score 12 times in three innings to tie it before winning it in 11.
I was going to write a full-blown hardcore match, but it is the holiday season, and I do work retail.
Luckily my day off falls on PPV day this week so I should be able to hammer something out.
Mike, if you HHH'd me a couple of weeks ago, then I want a rematch so I can squash your sorry ass! Actually, I posted my match for that and still have no idea why it lost, which brings us back to the whole feedback thing in the first place.
What about the vendors on the streets that sell hot dogs? Considering hot dog sales would be most of their sales, you're actually preventing some people from making a living!
Factor in that aside from Savage and Bossman (who was actually in well before Hogan) the crowd pretty much hated every WWF guy that got brought in during the era, I'd say that's accurate. Hell, I noticed that they started doing more and more TV and PPVs from places outside normal WCW strongholds just to try and make it appear that WCW crowds cheered Hogan
Jarrett and Roadie were both basically gone before the show went off the air. I remember them showing briefly on Raw that it was actually The Roadie singing "With My Baby Tonight", then a quick mention of how both men left the company, then nothing until Jarrett's return that December.
While I'm not a fan of the Disney aspect of it (mostly because I don't like writing for the character if I have a match for it), I happen to like the aspect that the two sides are total opposites, as it could lead to some very interesting character development down the line if Rando so chooses.
No plans since I lost the title match a couple weeks ago (damn you Mike), but I don't mind matches of randomness.
I guess a tag match with Nighthawk against two unbooked guys would work.
My only regret about last night's show?
I wish they would have presented that show at the Hammerstein Ballroom. At least it would have made for fun TV.
