If I'm correct on the rule about protests, then it would probably be a home run and they'd change the result of the game. IIRC, the pine tar homer counted after they upheld that protest, so I'd assume that one would count too. It's up to MLB at this point though.

If they win the protest, and that's a very big if, they'd have to replay the rest of the game from that point. When they overruled the call in the pine tar incident with George Brett, they literally played like four outs, so it has happened.

Maybe when I rewatch the match later in the week I'll agree with the rest of the sentiment here about Jericho-Christian. I just find it interesting that every match I've rated *** or better on Raw since Dames left has been immediately disputed by Rudo. Nothing wrong with that, Rudo, but it's something you notice after a while.

Rudo, I've become convinced that unless it's Chris Benoit vs. Eddy Guerrero, you'll never agree with any match I rate higher than **1/2. What did they do to reflect that hatred? Certainly more than I ever got out of Angle-Lesnar at the height of their feud. They weren't trying to have a wrestling match. They were trying to do what they had to do to win the match. I'd be willing to accept in retrospect that there probably should have been more brawling, but then we'd be bitching that there was too much brawling and those two are capable of so much more. It probably was a bit of a spotfest, but you make it seem as if it doesn't matter how entertaining a match is because spotfests can't be above a certain rating. Let me put it to you this way. The handicap match probably told a more appropriate story for the feud and was entertaining, but I probably wouldn't rate that above *** (and even that's pushing it). This might not have told the right story for the feud, but I thought it was the better match overall. Maybe I was just surprised they actually gave it 15 minutes.

Um...does the story of "I hate you so I'm going to try to beat you" not count as a story anymore? That's what I got coming out of that match, and it was damn entertaining on top of it.

I would've thought that makes her lose points if anything. Actually, it adds points to the "attainability" factor. Think about it. She's dated David Flair and Test. That means her standards aren't as high as some other women's standards are. This means that once she leaves Test, we've actually got a shot...provided we ever get a real opportunity to meet her, which is the catch. He shouldn't be doing his brother's games at all. Even if he calls a solid game, if the other team loses there are going to be allegations of favoritism. People around here always bring up the integrity of the game, and anytime you get a family member involved, there are bound to be a LOT of questions about the integrity of the game.

These days they seem pretty interchangeable, but technically you might be right. However... The way I've always figured it (and this isn't anything that's ever been etched in stone, just the way I see things) is that it's not technically a German suplex unless you hold the bridge. Of course, even Benoit won't hold the bridge anymore, so it's probably a moot point. I'm not sure it makes that much of a difference to the actual fan, but it always has to me for some reason. Since people have been waiting so patiently for me to respond to this thread... I love Stacy Keibler and want to do things to her that would make her forget her own name. But she adds nothing to a wrestling product, so I don't really miss her on Raw except for the fact that I'm a leg man and I miss those long legs.
