Guest Choken One Posted July 4, 2002 Report Posted July 4, 2002 The safest place to have a big crowd and not look like theres a alot of Empty seats would be Alamodome or Georgia Dome. If they can place 66,000 for A royal rumble...imagine what they can do with WM. However, Atlanta is always a hot crowd...so that could help as well Although I'd just wish they come to The Cincy area (GAP can hold 68,000)...and Sean Casey can be the guest ref.
Guest MarvinisaLunatic Posted July 5, 2002 Report Posted July 5, 2002 I had a dream that Vince tried to pull a Wrestlemania 2 and had Wrestlemania XIX booked to be in Atlanta(Georgia Dome),St. Louis (Transworld Dome) and Phoenix (Bank One Ballpark), and it was two weeks before the PPV and neither place was even 1/2 filled. Oh, and the main events: In Atlanta, Edge (Champion) vs Kurt Angle in a retirement Match for the Intercontinetal Title. Because of the Baseball strike which canceled the 2002 World Series, Vince decided to get the steroided up Basball players that he could get to be in a WWE vs Baseball battle royal in St. Louis as the main event. In Phoenix, the ultimate Main Event of WM XIX was Hulk Hogan (Who won the Royal Rumble) vs Brock Lesnar (Who hadn't lost since winning the WWE Undisputed Title at Summerslam)
Guest The Tino Standard Posted July 5, 2002 Report Posted July 5, 2002 I'm pretty sure I posted this in another thread on this board, but I'll say it again... Tropicana Field will NOT be getting WMXIX. WWE wanted to have last year's WM there, but after surveying the building, they realized it would be a half-mile walk from the locker room to the ring. To the best of my knowledge, nothing in that building has changed in the last year that would help fix that problem. Keep looking elsewhere for possible WMXIX sites...
Guest El Psycho Diablo Posted July 5, 2002 Report Posted July 5, 2002 If it was in JHawks backyard, then the match of the century would go down. J Hawk v. Lesnar Lunatic for Stacy Keibler's hand in Holy Matrimony! No offense man, but I claimed her first. Besides, WWE rules in effect. JHawk wins in his hometown. Unless you're J.R. (well, he doesn't ever wrestler), but he always seem to get his ass kicked or humilated in his hometown... That's not a bad thing, that's a good thing!
Guest Andy Posted July 5, 2002 Report Posted July 5, 2002 As they don't start till 1 a.m. on the Monday morning over here (England) I've booked the 31st off work. Andy
Guest cabbageboy Posted July 5, 2002 Report Posted July 5, 2002 Well, the half mile walk thing isn't that big of a deal. At WM 3 and 6 they had those little ring shaped carts carry wrestlers back and forth and it would be a good idea should they go to Tampa.
Guest Choken One Posted July 5, 2002 Report Posted July 5, 2002 Tropicana Field is to UGLY to hold WM, anyways.
Guest Big Poppa Popick Posted July 5, 2002 Report Posted July 5, 2002 just so you all know the rumored location for XIX is right here in Atlanta, GA...they were considered for XVIII but ultimately WWF gave atlanta the Royal Rumble to test the waters while going back to an arena they knew would be hot. Considering the RR selling out date and the crowd response, the WWF was pleased and was anxious to come back to a larger venue I work security at the Georgia Dome/Phillips Arena sporadically, in case you're wondering where my info comes from I would not be suprised if they announced it for the GD...with the stage setup itll have 65,000 capacity or thereabouts... just a thought
Guest Michael Joel Benoit Posted July 6, 2002 Report Posted July 6, 2002 How many dome Wrestlemania's can the WWE have? I think the WWE will switch back to 20,000, 30,000 seat venues after WrestleMania XX.
Guest AlwaysPissedOff Posted July 6, 2002 Report Posted July 6, 2002 I work security at the Georgia Dome/Phillips Arena sporadically, in case you're wondering where my info comes from If I go, you betta get me backstage passes, foo'. I missed the Rumble, but I will NOT miss WM if it's in the ATL.
Guest TheSmarkzone Posted July 6, 2002 Report Posted July 6, 2002 The Georgia Dome can actually hold 80,000.
Guest lomasmoney Posted July 6, 2002 Report Posted July 6, 2002 They should have WMXIX or WMXX at the Silverdome to close the place out for good
Guest Your Olympic Hero Posted July 6, 2002 Report Posted July 6, 2002 Do it at the Norfolk Scope in Norfolk, VA! It can hold less than 20,000... but atleast I would get to see Wrestlemania
Guest Nezbyte Posted July 7, 2002 Report Posted July 7, 2002 WM XX should be at MSG. What does the Gardan hold? 20K? 12K? I'd love for it to happen (i could possibly get tix, actually) but i doubt it.
Guest The Tino Standard Posted July 7, 2002 Report Posted July 7, 2002 MSG holds about 17,000 for PPV wrestling event (none of the sections are blocked off for an entrance ramp, as they would be for Raw or SmackDown).
Guest Nezbyte Posted July 7, 2002 Report Posted July 7, 2002 MSG holds about 17,000 for PPV wrestling event (none of the sections are blocked off for an entrance ramp, as they would be for Raw or SmackDown). Either the revenue would be in the pits or the prices for tix would be sky high. Bad idea, i think.
