Guest Incandenza Posted August 5, 2002 Report Posted August 5, 2002 The piece is up now. It's about Andrew W.K.
Guest LooseCannon Posted August 5, 2002 Report Posted August 5, 2002 wow! That was a curveball. I don't have any sort of ammunition to disagree, but... I dunno. Agreed the Strokes are incredibly overrated though.
Guest Incandenza Posted August 5, 2002 Report Posted August 5, 2002 I'm thinking my next column will give a sound thrashing to Weezer's Maladroit--and work in a defense of the unfairly maligned in some circles Green Album--before going back to writing about an obscure act.
Guest LooseCannon Posted August 5, 2002 Report Posted August 5, 2002 I find a lot of Weezer to be overrated. I'm probably about the only person that liked the blue album better than Pinkerton.
Guest Incandenza Posted August 5, 2002 Report Posted August 5, 2002 I'm probably the only person who likes the Green Album over the Blue Album. Pinkerton is my favorite--I really, really like it--but even I think it's overrated.
Guest The Ruthless Aggressor Posted August 5, 2002 Report Posted August 5, 2002 Why don't you write about you know... wrestling? That's the reason everyone is at the site, you would get a lot more feedback, since a lot of people, myself included, don't care about alternative music.
Guest LooseCannon Posted August 5, 2002 Report Posted August 5, 2002 I just found Pinkerton to be kind of uneven. It's got some really good songs though. I just like the blue album better. Neither the Green album nor Maladroit do much for me.
Guest Shaved Bear Posted August 5, 2002 Report Posted August 5, 2002 anyway, people do talk about wrestling, but sites need things to make themselves stand out
Guest Incandenza Posted August 5, 2002 Report Posted August 5, 2002 Why don't you write about you know... wrestling? That's the reason everyone is at the site, you would get a lot more feedback, since a lot of people, myself included, don't care about alternative music. I'm not particularly interested in writing about wrestling, and there's enough people doing that, anyway. As for the music I do write about, I got the gig on the board as part of a plan Kinetic had about getting a number of new people to write about all sorts of music, but said plan appears to be going nowhere.
Guest LooseCannon Posted August 5, 2002 Report Posted August 5, 2002 I've gotten so tired of talking about/reading about wrestling. It seems like there are some people who spend more time reading about wrestling on the internet than they do watching the shows. And to me that's crazy.
Guest The Ruthless Aggressor Posted August 5, 2002 Report Posted August 5, 2002 I usually spend more time reading about it on the internet. It's much more entertaining reading Scott Keith rip them, than the boring bullshit we've been gettin until a few weeks ago.
Guest Incandenza Posted August 5, 2002 Report Posted August 5, 2002 I'm not limited to writing about music for the site, but if/when I branch out, I'd write about a movie or something. I'll likely never do a straight wrestling piece; what you read in my Andrew W.K. column is the closest you're gonna get.
Guest Shaved Bear Posted August 5, 2002 Report Posted August 5, 2002 i talk about wrestling, but very little
Guest The Ruthless Aggressor Posted August 5, 2002 Report Posted August 5, 2002 It doesn't look like you can get 4000. You have an hour to get 70, almost impossible.
Guest The Amazing Rando Posted August 5, 2002 Report Posted August 5, 2002 eh...it doesn't bother me much....if I get it tomorrow...it's all good
Guest The Ruthless Aggressor Posted August 5, 2002 Report Posted August 5, 2002 I'm going now. I've spent way too much time here. Some advice, don't watch Smackdown, it's looking like one of the worst shows they've ever put on.
Guest LooseCannon Posted August 5, 2002 Report Posted August 5, 2002 But at least it'll have Cole right?
Guest J*ingus Posted August 5, 2002 Report Posted August 5, 2002 ::gives out BELTSHOTS~! to the entire cWo roster::
Guest areacode212 Posted August 5, 2002 Report Posted August 5, 2002 I'm going now. I've spent way too much time here. Some advice, don't watch Smackdown, it's looking like one of the worst shows they've ever put on. Meltzer is on with someone from the Smackdown audience right now, and they're talking about what a great show it sounds like.
Guest LooseCannon Posted August 5, 2002 Report Posted August 5, 2002 So did they change the date of Smackdown tapings to Sundays?
Guest Kinetic Posted August 5, 2002 Report Posted August 5, 2002 I'm not particularly interested in writing about wrestling, and there's enough people doing that, anyway. As for the music I do write about, I got the gig on the board as part of a plan Kinetic had about getting a number of new people to write about all sorts of music, but said plan appears to be going nowhere. It was too much of a hassle getting people accepted. Plus, I don't have a lot of confidence in other people to write consistently good stuff. I don't want to to be responsible for someone writing crap for the site. If I'd known you were going to exclusively write reviews of records I don't like...who's to say?
Guest areacode212 Posted August 5, 2002 Report Posted August 5, 2002 No, they're going to Australia, so they did the taping tonight before they leave.
Guest Kinetic Posted August 5, 2002 Report Posted August 5, 2002 I had a case of vertigo when I saw the spoilers up in the WWE folder. I was thinking "Shit, it's Sunday, right? I didn't miss Raw, did I?"
Guest Flyboy Posted August 5, 2002 Report Posted August 5, 2002 I had a case of vertigo when I saw the spoilers up in the WWE folder. I was thinking "Shit, it's Sunday, right? I didn't miss Raw, did I?" Hee-hee... Silly, silly Kinetic.

Yeah, could you give me more artists, bands and/or albums you don't like? Two columns in, and I'm already running out of ideas.
