Indoor Fireworks, Allison, Radio Radio, (I Don't Wanna Go To) Chelsea, Shipbuilding, and others are great songs...period.

::studiously ignoring Shaved Bear's Costello comment::

Yeah, Rando, tickets go on sale Saturday. I am making it priority #1 to get my hands on one.

Hell ya! Fireworks. Can't count how many times I have gotten in trouble with the law with fireworks. I am the biggest pyro.

So, Rando, keep your ears open when you get into Orlando. If you manage to score a ticket, contact me, and we can hook up down there.

Uh, I have nothing for you to rant on, man. I expended all my mental energy on writing my column earlier this evening.

Rant on how irritated I am that my Smart Marks email account isn't working.

I've got the first paragraph of a review written. Now I just have to get to the actual "album review" portion of my album review. I'm ditching the song by song format, because it's fucking hard and takes forever.

Reading the "When did you lose it" thread has got me feeling a lot better than usual about my ability to attract females.

The faulty email system is holding CEREAL MAN~! down, dammit! The proper authorities have been notified, but if they don't act soon, they will feel the wrath of the Snap, Crackle, Pop!

Same here. I'm honestly surprised by some of the stuff I've read in there.

Here's what I have so far:

It's Fun In The Sun week here at Smart Marks HQ and the mood is extremely festive, to say the least. I was skeptical about the idea at first. I'm not really a Hawaiian shirt type of guy, for one thing, and I really felt that the mandatory grass skirts were a little demeaning. It's not a small package issue, really--I just don't think the half-coconut codpiece is appropriate for a business setting. Rules are rules, though, and I don't produce nearly enough content to complain about the dress code. To my surprise, however, it's turned out to be just the bonding experience that we as writers needed. For instance: Did you know that JHawk is missing the index finger on his left hand? I didn't! But thanks to Fun In The Sun week's occasionally humiliating field day activities, I do now and plan on taking advantage of it in the near future. In any case, everything around the office is going really well now--the writers are happy, the fanbase is expanding, and both the quality and quantity of our content is at an all-time high. With the exception of that unpleasentness with Dames applying suntan lotion to that intern--which is apparently going to be settled out of court--I'd say it's been the best week in Smart Marks history. This put me in the mood to review a fun record. I scoured my personal library for just such an album and came across Fountains of Wayne's criminally-ignored 1996 self-titled debut. Read on and enjoy:
