Who is truly capable of ***** matches in WWE?

Stupid finishes are usualy what make great matches miss the ***** mark. Angle and Austin, Angle and Benoit, I have yet to see Jericho vs Rock so I can't comment on that one.

 

Angle, Eddie, and Benoit could take any wrestler to *****, but the thread isn't who can CARRY someone to ***** its who can HAVE *****.

 

I think given, less stupid T-shirt skits, and maybe one more big match Angle could have taken Edge to *****, AS will say I'm full of shit but that's what I think.

 

Edge, Kidman, Kanyon, Storm, RVD, and Tajiri are the only WWE guys I think can make it to ***** without using ladders and the like.

I don't see any logic in this. If Angle, Benoit, and Eddy can carry people to five star matches, what diferentiates them from people who can only have five star matches? I fail to see the destinction, and I don't think anyone can actually be "carried" to a five star match.

 

Basically, wrestling is always a two-man effort. However, "carrying" specifies that one man is visably doing the major boddy of work or is really the man in charge, and if that is apparent enough to the point that people can tell one is being carried by the other, than the match is, by virtue, not perfect, and therefor, not a five-star match. Makes sense to me, but people have all kinds of tricked-out opinions on that. For instance, the six you listed don't seem near *****'s to me, but again, diferent strokes.

 

As for the Million Dollar Dream Spot, the reason it didn't work in the first match was because Bret reversed it into a pinfall, and seeing as the re-match had no pinfalls, it would have been ideal since Bret would have to find a new way to counter it. I don't see any reason for not re-using it.

 

I need to see Bret/Flair. I always wondered why I was left dissapointed every time I saw a match pitting those two against each other, but now that I've heard they actually got it right once, I'm eager to track it down.

Benoit, Eddie, Angle, HHH (If fit), Rock (With the right opponent), Hurricane, Tajiri, RVD (Right opponent again), Jericho, Rey now he's on the roster, Kanyon, Edge, Christian and maybe Storm and Jeff Hardy
