Guest Lightning Flik Posted July 6, 2002 Report Posted July 6, 2002 SINGLES MATCH Frost vs. Z Was quite impressed with Frost's match and must say I'm looking forward to seeing what else he can do. Winner: Frost LIGHT-HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE MATCH El Luchadore Magnifico © vs. Ced Odornez ELM still holding the title. Even though Ced is good, ELM was a former World Champion. Not an easy pushover. Winner: ELM SINGLES MATCH Danny Williams vs. Mercury Danny looked good in his match against Thoth, but I don't think he'll beat Mercury. He'll make a heck of a match of it, but I'm not sure he'll come up with the win. Winner: Mercury HARDCORE TITLE MATCH Ash Ketchum © vs. Jay Dawg Match Description – Regular DQ and count-out rules are not in effect. Submissions, pinfalls and knockouts count anywhere in the arena for Jay Dawg. Ash can only win the match within the ring. Also, Ketchum is not allowed to use any type of weapon within the match or the title will be awarded to Jay Dawg. Hey Ash! You've got an uphill battle ahead of you, but still, I'm not sure Jay Dawg will be able to create an upset here. Unless Stubby really wants JD with the Hardcore Title again. Winner: Ash US TITLE MATCH Tom Flesher © vs. “TNT” Taylor Nicholas Thompson TNT looks quite good and I think that the Mag7 will be getting another title into their possession. Winner: TNT TRIPLE THREAT TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH Chris Wilson & Stryke © vs. Chris Raynor & Edwin MacPhisto vs. Thoth & Fallout No matter what happens, Mag7 will probably get something they want out of this contest. Some friction between the Carnies and Carnival. Most likely will retain too. Winner: Mag7
Guest midnight_burn Posted July 6, 2002 Report Posted July 6, 2002 Predictions, you know the deal. SINGLES MATCH Frost vs. Z -> Should be a nice opener here. Z's good, but i think Frost will be too much on this occassion. Magnificent Seven tops Midnight Carnival. Winner= Frost LIGHT-HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE MATCH El Luchadore Magnifico © vs. Ced Odornez -> The first of several title matches on Smarkdown. ELM has just returned from a break, and as good as Ced is ELM will surely be pumped to hold onto his title here. Winner= El Luchadore Magnifico SINGLES MATCH Danny Williams vs. Mercury -> This should be a good one. Two very good writers here, but i think Mercury will just have enough to beat my stablemate Danny here. Winner= Mercury HARDCORE TITLE MATCH Ash Ketchum © vs. Jay Dawg -> Some interesting stips here should makew this a fun match. I think JD will have enough to beat Mr. Pokemania Fist Helmet here. Then i gut and fillet the winner to get my title back at some indiscriminant point in the future. Winner= New Hardcore Champ Jay Dawg US TITLE MATCH Tom Flesher © vs. “TNT” Taylor Nicholas Thompson -> Yet another sure to be great match. With the US Title on the line both men will no doubt pull out a great match, and both are very good, but i think Tom shall just have enough to top the explosive one on this occassion. A TNT victory wouldn't surprise me though. Winner= Tom Flesher TRIPLE THREAT TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH Chris Wilson & Stryke © vs. Chris Raynor & Edwin MacPhisto vs. Thoth & Fallout -> Whoever wins this will no doubt produce a very high quality match. There are 5 very good writers and one shitty one by the name of Stryke, so it's hard to guess who will win this one. Winner= Somebody. And that's a wrap.
Guest chirs3 Posted July 6, 2002 Report Posted July 6, 2002 Frost vs. Z -----> Writing the tag match with Z has shown me he = Edwin, or darn close to it. Z wins. LIGHT-HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE MATCH El Luchadore Magnifico © vs. Ced Odornez -----> Despite having the... one of the top five coolest names ever, I don't think Ced will pull this out. (In no order, the top 5: Longdogger Pete, El Luchadore Magnifico, Ced Ordonez, Lightning Flik, and Tod de Kindes) SINGLES MATCH Danny Williams vs. Mercury -----> Danny CAN win this, but I don't know if he will... HARDCORE TITLE MATCH Ash Ketchum © vs. Jay Dawg -----> If anyone can out hardcore JD, Ash can. His hardcore stuff lately has been really fun to read, so I'll give him the win. US TITLE MATCH Tom Flesher © vs. “TNT” Taylor Nicholas Thompson -----> Go Tom! Just because! TRIPLE THREAT TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH Chris Wilson & Stryke © vs. Chris Raynor & Edwin MacPhisto vs. Thoth & Fallout -----> Uhhhhm.... shite.
Guest 5_moves_of_doom Posted July 6, 2002 Report Posted July 6, 2002 SINGLES MATCH Frost vs. Z -Ouch. It hurts to even think about who would win out of these two. Frost has beaten Z before, and most likely could do it again, but Z is more than capable in pulling out a *minor* upset here. I'll go with Z, as I think Z winning would make a more compelling match, the little guy coming out on top and all. LIGHT-HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE MATCH El Luchadore Magnifico © vs. Ced Odornez -Ced is a saint in the JL...but...ELM is a saint in the WF. Now, waddya think is a more prestigious award? I'll have to go with ELM, who I am gaining some strong interest in, going back and reading old matches of his and such. By the way ELM, if you read this, I would REALLY like to read your bah-jillion word title winning match. So, if you still have it, could you please PM it to me or something? Thanks. SINGLES MATCH Danny Williams vs. Mercury -Bah. I've read one Merc match, so I really don't know him very well. If Danny can take the more exciting approach that me, Wilson, and Thugg were advising him on, and blend it with his genius match psycholigy and story telling, then I am confident he can pick up the win. HARDCORE TITLE MATCH Ash Ketchum © vs. Jay Dawg -Ash likes Pokemon and Sum 41. Jay Dawg and I are mortal enemies. I really want Stubby to run in and destroy everything in the ring, but one of them must win, and I really think Ash is the better writer. US TITLE MATCH Tom Flesher © vs. “TNT” Taylor Nicholas Thompson -Ahem. Eddie Mac, do you still have that body bag you were preparing for Tod? I'll be needing it real soon. I'll try to pull out the win here, but I really REALLY think I'm dead. TRIPLE THREAT TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH Chris Wilson & Stryke © vs. Chris Raynor & Edwin MacPhisto vs. Thoth & Fallout -Meh. I WAS gonna say a definite win from Wilson/Stryke, but 2 heads are better than one and with Wilson not being able to write, Stryke only makes one head. Raynor is God. Edwin is God. Booya. Just know that you're transitional champs for me and some other Mag7'er to destroy!
Guest Ace309 Posted July 6, 2002 Report Posted July 6, 2002 ALPHABITS MATCH Frost vs. Z - Well, Frost has cold stuff, but Z has the last letter of the alphabet. Given that I'm hoping Z will get a fire under his belly, and that he writes harder when I don't predict him... FROST. LIGHT-HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE MATCH El Luchadore Magnifico © vs. Ced Odornez - ELM. Not because Ced isn't talented - GOD, he is - but because I think ELM's the tip-top of the light heavyweight division and it'll take some serious work to dethrone him. *sigh* I'm dead... SINGLES MATCH Danny Williams vs. Mercury - Toss up. Both good writers. HARDCORE TITLE MATCH Ash Ketchum © vs. Jay Dawg - Hm. I'm counting on Ash to write something really, really, really funny and win this one. Also, just for the record, Ash looks like what Randy Orton would look like at age 16. On Nutra-System. US TITLE MATCH Tom Flesher © vs. “TNT” Taylor Nicholas Thompson - No prediction, because I'm polite like that. TRIPLE THREAT TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH Chris Wilson & Stryke © vs. Chris Raynor & Edwin MacPhisto vs. Thoth & Fallout - It would be unstablemate-like for me to predict anyone but the Clan. Also, Thoth and Fallout are the best tag team ever, since they're comprised of the best tag-team partners ever. Looking forward to some kickass work from all sides.
Guest Insane Clown Dan Posted July 6, 2002 Report Posted July 6, 2002 SINGLES MATCH Frost vs. Z -Hahaha... Z was my bitch in the JL. Why couldn't I write more... but I predict Z to win, 'cause he's too loopy to lose and his raw talent is scary. LIGHT-HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE MATCH El Luchadore Magnifico © vs. Ced Odornez -Sorry Ced, but I have to pick ELM. In the words of the toothless wolverine Benoit, Prove me wrong dammit! SINGLES MATCH Danny Williams vs. Mercury -Deathwish will make up for his upsetting loss on Storm, and correct his mistakes. HARDCORE TITLE MATCH Ash Ketchum © vs. Jay Dawg -If Jay Dawg is willing to write a full-blown match on Ash, he will easily take this. Otherwise, Ash is always consistent and this will be a tough fight from either vantage point. No prediction. US TITLE MATCH Tom Flesher © vs. “TNT” Taylor Nicholas Thompson -"TNT"... that disrespecting punkass, who I have blocked over AIM. He still wins, though. TRIPLE THREAT TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH Chris Wilson & Stryke © vs. Chris Raynor & Edwin MacPhisto vs. Thoth & Fallout -Personally, I think that the evil genius and showstoppah are outpowered by the 2 other tag teams. And a lot of the time, all I've been seeing are Carnival wins, but Thoth and Fallout should step up their game and overpower all. Clan wins.
Guest Rabbi_wilson13 Posted July 6, 2002 Report Posted July 6, 2002 This really is an absolutely bitchin' card. As Edwin said on another thread, 4 title matches is something special for any show, especially Smarkdown. Hopefully we see some promos, some solid matches and maybe a title change. Or four. SINGLES MATCH Frost vs. Z Frost is extremely impressive, and thus should not be curtain-jerking. Someone correct this immediately! You'll be forced t after he stomps that little whore Z into the ground. Muhahahaha! LIGHT-HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE MATCH El Luchadore Magnifico © vs. Ced Odornez Hmmm...we could be looking at the first upset and title change at the match. I say could be, because I still believe ELM is going to pick up the win. Though a very close win. SINGLES MATCH Danny Williams vs. Mercury Oooo baby. You just know Danny's gonna come out firing. If he busts out some more "!!!!'s" then its all his. If not, Merc will pick up the victory. HARDCORE TITLE MATCH Ash Ketchum © vs. Jay Dawg Oh man, I love those stipulations. Those are great for the monster face fighting the odds. I say he fights them, and we're 0 for 2 on title changes. US TITLE MATCH Tom Flesher © vs. “TNT” Taylor Nicholas Thompson As much as I said TNT's going to win on other threads, I hope Flesher and everybody else knows just how much I respect the Superior One. That being said, if TNT busts out something like he did at Snake Eyes, we have a new champion. TRIPLE THREAT TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH Chris Wilson & Stryke © vs. Chris Raynor & Edwin MacPhisto vs. Thoth & Fallout Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones, with a cameo by Michael Jackson
Guest WrestlingDeacon Posted July 6, 2002 Report Posted July 6, 2002 SINGLES MATCH Frost vs. Z -I felt really hampered by the word limit last show and had to cut some things I wanted to do. If Z can do more within the limit here, he can easily have me. However, I love writing against the Z character and I feel going against him has produced some of my best matches. LIGHT-HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE MATCH El Luchadore Magnifico © vs. Ced Odornez -No offense against Ced, but I've beat him twice in a row and he gets a title shot? Ced still seems to be a little bit busy and figuring out the new league. ELM SINGLES MATCH Danny Williams vs. Mercury -Williams was the best writer bar none in the SJL when we all came up here. He's hit a snag, but I feel Mercury is the type of character that he can get back on track with. WILLIAMS HARDCORE TITLE MATCH Ash Ketchum © vs. Jay Dawg -Interesting stips, that in the world of logical booking screams for Ash to win against all odds. ASH US TITLE MATCH Tom Flesher © vs. “TNT” Taylor Nicholas Thompson -I actually hope that TNT doesn't win here as I want to actively pursue the US title and would not want to do that against a stable mate. However, TNT wrote probably his best match ever in is debut here and hopefully the six man last show has not halted his momentum. Flesher is tough, but I'm going to go out on a limb here and pick our Brad Dexter. TNT TRIPLE THREAT TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH Chris Wilson & Stryke © vs. Chris Raynor & Edwin MacPhisto vs. Thoth & Fallout -I hate to go against my guys, but with Wilson most likely out and Stryke saying he's not at 100% this could be tough for us. Although, Stryke writing the whole match by himself while the rest of the teams have to coordinate between themselves in just three days could give him the advantage. I like Raynor and Edwin here with a bigger blow off down the road between the carnies and Mag7.
Guest kelloggs Posted July 6, 2002 Report Posted July 6, 2002 SINGLES MATCH Frost vs. Z Frost has written his funniest matches against Z. But if Z had as much impact on that main event as Raynor said. I got to go Z. Frost winning is more than possible LIGHT-HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE MATCH El Luchadore Magnifico © vs. Ced Odornez ELM. Because I think Ced is still having problems he needs to deal with. SINGLES MATCH Danny Williams vs. Mercury Well Danny needs to liven his matches up. I'd agree even though I like his style the way it is. If he can adjust he stands a better chance at beating Merc. HARDCORE TITLE MATCH Ash Ketchum © vs. Jay Dawg JD can win this if he wants too. But I'll say Ash because...just because... US TITLE MATCH Tom Flesher © vs. “TNT” Taylor Nicholas Thompson Flesher to win and write me in his match with a boilermaker shirt. Do it! Normally I mark for TNT but since he wants me to job I want him to lose. Actually no pick because I don't know if the light heavyweight title feud between him and ELM needs another title. TRIPLE THREAT TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH Chris Wilson & Stryke © vs. Chris Raynor & Edwin MacPhisto vs. Thoth & Fallout Rayn man and Eddie Mac are god like. Thoth and Fallout are the best tag team in da SWF and since Stryke isn't feeling it and is all by himself I'll go with another team. Screw that Stryke's just luling everyone into a false sense of security. Stryke and Wilson to win and have Mag 7 come down and whoop everybodies ass. M. Francis
Guest Edwin MacPhisto Posted July 6, 2002 Report Posted July 6, 2002 My predictions are probably only going to be 113% accurate as Stryke's, but we'll see what I can do. SINGLES MATCH Frost vs. Z -Two guys who put on a helluva match just a couple weeks ago in the JL, one which Frost prevailed in. However, after being involved in a writing process with Z for Storm and seeing him put his work together, I can't go against my stablemate. Z to win it. LIGHT-HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE MATCH El Luchadore Magnifico © vs. Ced Ordonez -Mag is back in action, and people as a rule don't beat him for his belt unless he wants them to. He'll keep it for a teense longer. SINGLES MATCH Danny Williams vs. Mercury -In my eyes, all Williams has to do to become a consistent success is to pull together the parts of his match and liven things up a bit. With the storyline he and Outcast are putting together, I think that'll happen. Plus, it's Merc, so he and Outcast will probably fight at some point, because they are generally doing that very thing in approximately 18 different e-feds across the net. HARDCORE TITLE MATCH Ash Ketchum © vs. Jay Dawg -Dunno. JD is a beast when he wants to be, but Ash is on a roll...it all depends on who does their thing better. Both guys can write comedy, JD has an edge in serious...and because of that, I'm going to give JD the nod unless he has something else planned. US TITLE MATCH Tom Flesher © vs. “TNT” Taylor Nicholas Thompson -TNT's impressed me so far, but because he's a dip, he'll probably write this at 3 in the morning the night before it's due. Consequently, he will snort coke to stay awake, begin to call his character "Dynamite Davey," and end up losing to Flesher after turning in a 4000 word match...that is one sentence long. TRIPLE THREAT TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH Chris Wilson & Stryke © vs. Chris Raynor & Edwin MacPhisto vs. Thoth & Fallout -Oogy oog. Shocking developments here, and who knows what's going to happen. Fallout's supposedly got his tag curse, but Thoth was the guy to take the belts off me and Stevens a few months back. Stryke without Wilson is going to be tough, but I'm not sure...oh, screw it. This gets the CIA pick.
Guest Lightning Flik Posted July 7, 2002 Report Posted July 7, 2002 In no order, the top 5: Longdogger Pete, El Luchadore Magnifico, Ced Ordonez, Lightning Flik, and Tod de Kindes I like this guy, I really do. He knows who is DA man is of the IGNWF!!! MWHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! Who gets whipped by any WFer, right guys? *seriously* Edwin, since I don't have a clue as to what CIA does for pickings, could you explain please. Would be so grateful if ya did!
Guest Drew_K Posted July 7, 2002 Report Posted July 7, 2002 I've made it my habit to not pick the winners of the main events, Flik. My reasoning for this is that 'I can't call the main event wrong, if I don't call the main event.' Which is what Edwin means.
