Guest Anglesault Report post Posted July 6, 2002 To everyone who says Test is good in the ring. Wouldn't someone who is good in the ring have more than two (Three, if you want to stretch it) good matches?
Guest Cataclysm911 Report post Posted July 6, 2002 There is nothing wrong with Test. He works hard, and entertains. That is all that matters. That is what this business is all about.
Guest Anglesault Report post Posted July 6, 2002 I never said he doesn't work hard...It just doesn't pay off.
Guest FeArHaVoC Report post Posted July 6, 2002 Hey Anglesault, didn't you say before in Angle's book, that Kurt said he Carried Test in a match before? Was it a joke, or serious? I remember Foley making jokes about Test before too, that's why I'm asking. What exactly did he say?
Guest Anglesault Report post Posted July 6, 2002 I didn't read the book. I thought someone on this board sais that Angle wrote that he had to drag test to a ** match. Two stars still isn't good.
Guest El Psycho Diablo Report post Posted July 6, 2002 Two stars is still two better than a lot of matches they come up with.
Guest Anglesault Report post Posted July 7, 2002 And that's not a good thing.
Guest FeArHaVoC Report post Posted July 7, 2002 Damn, what was (At Least) the last PPV, Main Event which was ***? Jericho/Rock, From the Rumble?

Guest Austin3164life Report post Posted July 7, 2002 Damn, what was (At Least) the last PPV, Main Event which was ***? Jericho/Rock, From the Rumble? Some pay per views that the WWE hosts now a days. When will Vince ever learn.....
Guest TheSmarkzone Report post Posted July 7, 2002 Wouldn't someone who is good in the ring have more than two (Three, if you want to stretch it) good matches? Not necessarily. Test is not a "carry a broomstick" wrestler. Never said he was. But he's the best big man in the business and everything that he does in there looks good. Whenever he is paired with someone who he can work with -- and not Albert or Big Show -- he excels. He's had great matches with Shane, with Eddie Guerrero, with HHH...he just needs good opponents. I hate it when smart marks write off all styles except for the 6'2" and under technical style. There is a big man style, and it CAN be good. Not all "good matches" are clinics, you know. But that's a mute point, because Test doesn't even wrestle like a big man. He's a total package wrestler.
Guest Anglesault Report post Posted July 7, 2002 He wrestles like shit. You could name three good matches that he has had in THREE YEARS. You admit that he was acrried every time. That is not the mark of a good wrestler. So, no, he should NOT be pushed to the moon.
Guest LesnarLunatic Report post Posted July 7, 2002 Not necessarily. Test is not a "carry a broomstick" wrestler. Never said he was. But he's the best big man in the business and everything that he does in there looks good. Mike Awesome would like to tell ya that you're full of it.
Guest Human Fly Report post Posted July 7, 2002 But he's the best big man in the business and everything that he does in there looks good. I'd take Mike Awesome over Test any day. Edit - Above comment came up when I posted. So obviously I agree with that.
Guest LJSexay Report post Posted July 7, 2002 Yet Mike Awesome hasn't wrestled in months nor is in shape to. So Test even with Awesome around is one of the best big men around. And as for this good match quantity shit, fuck you. When your character is changed every two fucking weeks and you get half assed pushes that never go anywhere because the writers don't deciate to it, you will be seen as subpar by the fans. If a great worker like Eddy was in that same position, where his character is changed every few weeks and he gets terribly planned pushes, he'd look bad to the fans, too. You know it isn't always the wrestler's fault for not looking good all the fucking time.
Guest Austin3164life Report post Posted July 7, 2002 I, for one, think that Test is far underrated. He's not a great wrestler, but he's not Busch Leagues either. I also think that Chris Jericho is overrated. He looks a bit lost in his matches and his brawling is pretty weak (other than his chops)......

Chris Jericho looks confused because he looks unmotivated, just like Austin when he was doing stuff with the nWo.

If I were Chris Jericho, I wouldn't want to job to a beefed up guy who just got back and is being pushed as #1......

Both have had awful gimmicks and lazy pushes.
Guest LJSexay Report post Posted July 7, 2002 The point I make is whether you work good and try hard, and do put on some nice matches, fans wont get into you because of mentioned reasons. Test is underrated as some have already said, and most don't mind him you know. Do the fans really care about Christian whether he has good matches? No they havent up until this point, same goes for Test.
Guest Gomezticator Report post Posted July 7, 2002 Is Stacy standing on a box or something? She is listed as like 5'9" or 5'10". Test is about 6'6 or 6'7" isn't he? I've dated women nine or ten inches shorter than me, and they don't reach up to my eyebrows. Even if Andrew is hunching over a bit, Stacy must be standing on a phone book. Maybe she has stiletto heels on or something. Those extra few inches should get her up to near equal height.

Guest CanadianChick Report post Posted July 7, 2002 a bit off topic, but I think that people have been unfair and biased against test becasue some people dubbed him as teh next Kevin Nash. This would not exactly garner a good rep. BY the wya, I think that Test is far underrated too.
Guest El Psycho Diablo Report post Posted July 7, 2002 Christian is not as great as people pimp him out to be. He's an overrated little bitch that's hyped to the moon because Edge is the one getting the push instead of him, and Edge has height. Naturally, Christian is being "screwed over". His moveset repeats easily, and he resorts to cheap heat too many times cutting a promo. That said..*takes off Devil's Advocate hat* Test isn't -nearly- as bad as people say around here. He's just friends with Shane McMahon..and by gawd, only IAW (Internet Approved Wrestlers) can be friends with anybody. Test is not one of the IAW. So, that said..Test=Evil. In my eyes, Test is a better than average big man.

I didnt enjoy ANY Christian's non-E'n'C matches. But i enjoy ALOT of Test matchs. Test is damn near 7 foot - he moves just as fast as Benoit, what does THAT tell you?
Guest El Psycho Diablo Report post Posted July 7, 2002 Uh oh, Nezbyte. Comparing Test to Benoit would be a hanging offense in these parts. Don't try to use logic. You'll confuse poor people set in their Test-hating ways.
Guest SuperTonyJaymz Report post Posted July 7, 2002 I agree that Christian is overrated. He is good but not that good. I enjoy his mic work alot though. Same goes for Test. Test is pretty good for a man his height. I guess we can say Test is the benoit of the bg men (god im gonna get burnt for that)

Guest WukenBloodstar Report post Posted July 7, 2002 Besides Kane of course..Test is by far the second best Big man in the WWE/F. Mike Awesome is overrated in my eyes. Yes yes, Test is the Benoit of big men, does that make Kane Jushin Liger? He(Kane) did throw a 'rana after all..
Guest TheSmarkzone Report post Posted July 7, 2002 if that is true, and Test and Christian were in the same predicament, why are we able to tell that Christian's matches are so much better than test's? Uhh...speak for yourself there, Angel-sault. When in the blue hell did Christian start having great matches? I must have missed something. Last time I checked, he was still the Man of 1,004 Moves That Begin With An Inverted Facelock. As far as your Brad Armstrong comparison goes... 1) Brad Armstrong was a great, great worker. Really exceptional. No one on this board ever put Test in his league. 2) Test is not a fucking technical wrestler. Okay? That's not his style! When are you going to get it through your head that non-technical matches can be good? Or that there are other styles besides your beloved technical wrestling? Hell, some people PREFER the big man style with the high-impact, power maneuvers! Test is not Brad Armstrong, Ric Flair, Christian, Kurt Angle, Bret Hart, Dean Malenko, Chris Benoit, or any other 6'2" and under technical wrestler that you want to compare him to. He is 6'6", and he does not wrestle that style. It's like comparing apples and oranges.
