August when his contract runs out? If so, start the countdown for when Jericho debuts in the NWA.

Why would Jericho turn down guaranteed money in the biggest fed ever to go to basically a start-up that could be out of business in a few months?

Poor Jericho. Poor, poor Jericho.

Maybe they could put him on RAW, turn him face, and have him fight Benoit and Eddy every week...

yeah right.

I could only wish!!!! (Angle and Storm would be there too if I had power)

So, Rikishi basically beat Test, Christian and Storm by himself? And then "Team Canada" gets punked out by Edge and Hogan after ther match? Nice way to build those "Heels."

Reasons like this is why, No matter how bad RAW gets, I still like it better.

At least make me happy and put the Belts on Storm and Christian!

PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!

Don't worry, Team Canada's winning the titles at Vengeance. Of course, that's logical...

...but maybe not to the WWE -_-

Because Test has a contract and Jericho's is rapidly running out? Why bother pushing someone who may be leaving? That doesn't really do you any good... see Benoit v. WCW.

To make that wrestler want to re-sign. I mean, knowing the WWE, they probably won't, and Jericho's salary will go to Bradshaw or something, but really, Jericho has been a successful face and an excellent heel (moreso in WCW, but still). I don't know why the WWE wouldn't want Jericho to re-sign.

Someone over at WDI brought up this point, but 4 of the 6 matches are tag matches. That seems a little....odd.

And 1 of the singles matches involves Torrie Wilson.

You really don't get guys to re-sign by giving them last minute pushes. Either they like how they were being used over the long term or they get more money. Getting a two-month push isn't really going to be the deciding factor in whether or not Jericho wants to stay. And, I also don't know why WWE wouldn't want Jericho, maybe he's asking for too much money ... like $12 billion a year or something.

Fuck the Rock! How dare he get cheap heat by bashing another NY! NJ seems like a counterfeit NY sometimes and you know damn well the Rock is going to go back to NY and act like he loves the place. New Jersey is nothing but a piss break while traveling to NY! How dare he!

Whoa whoa whoa. No lumping all of NJ together. North Jersey may be a cess pool but south jersey is a nice area. I still contend that the state should seperate into a north and south jersey it gives the people in south jersey a chance to not be ridiculed as NY's landfill.

Good point, of course they never should have STOPPED pushing Jericho.

Why would Jericho want to stay if they were giving him no direction. And also they don't usually completely bury the guys coming up for contract they just don't push them to the moon. Foley said in his book that when his contract was coming up Vince told him he would not be able to get completely behind him but he still won matches he just did not get much promo time and extra segments.

I thought of that as well, but it doesn't seem like they are doing it with Jericho. He gets promos and segments, but gets punked out. He's not winning matches very often, and when he does win is getting punked out. The Foley rule doesn't apply to Jericho I guess.

I think this is just the Foley rule applied to people who have been getting buried anyway. He was used as jobber to the stars so they probably just knock him down one notch or two like they did to Foley on the ladder so he is now jobber to the rookies who might be stars. And the more I see Cena the less I like. I don't know if it is just me but he looks like a complete tool. He always seems to be trying to get a scowl on his face that doesn't work and he always is leaning over and puffing his chest out and it just looks weird. And he needs to face someone lower on the totem pole eventually (not like Hardcore Holly low, but maybe IC title area) and I would just do it now because if it happens after a prolonged program with a top guy and he sucks against lower guys there could be a backlash against him. At least he has the excuse right now he is green. BTW he still wears the gay ass green tights this week.

Edit: I just wanted to note everytime I look at the pic in your sig I miss the fact that the Undisputed champion had two belts. It just made them seem much more important. With Jericho two belts made you recognize him as undisputed champ with UT and one belt you just think there is the champ.

There was WcW then. Foley was a big name, and the WWF needed Foley then. There is No real Competition right now. Jericho is Fucked!

That's IF, all this crap about Contracts are even true. I don't really believe it, I think he's just being buried and used like Crap.

I think its a little from column A and a little from column B. He was buried before, his contract is coming up this month or next and gives an excuse to bury him further.

Smackdown looks like a decent show again this week. They seem to have some direction for most of the characters (Not counting the sudden change from Edge/Jericho to the tag match) and the Rock stuff sounds good.

I guess you could look at Smackdown and see it as Jericho getting buried again because he got pinned by Cena. But he did wrestle in the main event and was involved in several backstage segments. It also seemed like maybe they were setting up something between Jericho and Taker the way Jericho got in his face and then Taker cost Jericho the match.

But the most interesting Jericho segment was the one where he suggested Vince make a Hogan/Edge v. Storm/Christian match at Vengeance. It seems like they are setting up Jericho as the leader of Team Canada after he costs Hogan/Edge the tag titles.

If Jericho was really leaving in two weeks then the WWE would be stupid to make him such a focal point of the show.

Did they announce Jericho vs Cena yet?

Maybe Vince's "taking care" of Jericho is putting him in the Undisputed Title match up, making it a 4-way?

And then I woke up.

Jericho is getting buried, but it isn't because his contract is coming up. It is because of HHH and the power he has fucking Steph. There are just too many facts backing this up. Jericho is one of the biggest stars WWF has and they can't afford to lose him at a time like this. They are using Jericho to put over Cena just like Angle did. Vince is giving Cena the push on Smackdown that Lesnar is getting on Raw. Ross even said himself that people are going to start getting up in arms over the push Cena is getting soon just like they did to Lesnar. Also, Jericho isn't going anywhere else anytime soon. NWA can't afford the money he is making now or give him the exposure he is getting now. I don't know where all of you get that Jericho is mad about his spot on the card now anyway. He went from cruiserweight champion in WCW to Undisputed World Champion in WWF. It is ridiculous to say that he wouldn't renew his contract and leave to go somewhere else.

Where is Jericho going to go? They said top contract at NWA is $3,500 a week. Lets do math....$182,000. Lets double it....say 364,000. Where they get money I don't know, but maybe they try for him.

For his level of a star, downside would be about 200,000. With merchandise, etc. (and despite how they screwed him, he's still near the top of the card) he'd probably make 3 times that easy.

Plus WWE for all their problems will be here in a year. Is NWA going to be? Thats a MAYBE, theres no way thats definite.

Why would he go? I don't understand the logic at all.

AND WHERE IS MYSTERIO? SHOULDN'T HE HAVE DEBUTED ALREADY???

they used his segment for Busta Rhymes instead

ON a Busta Rhymes note, why doesn't Michael Myers just kill him quickly in H:Ressurection? The last thing they need is a rapper runing roughshod over the frikkin' Shape!

Hmmm...why are Billy and Chuck in a tag title match every week, even when they aren't champs? Could it beeeee.............THE FACT THAT THERE IS NO DIVISION?!

I mean, they could've brought up O'Haire (green-ness be damned), had him confront his former partner's way of doing things, then say, "I'll show you two a man that for once you won't wanna touch!"

He introduces John Cena as "The Prototype for the Perfect Man" and BAM! instafeud.

Busta Rhymes has no place on a wrestling show, unless it is being on screen for a second so Michael Cole can freak out. And I wish the Shape would stab him with a good record.

You know, the Edge/Hogan/Rock, Rock/Busta Rhymes/Kurt Angle, Rock/Mark Lloyd stuff is pretty funny. The matches all sucked. Its a pity that Jericho goes from a match with Edge that had some buildup to a match with John Cena that no ones gonna care about.

Next week on Smackdown : Kurt Angle vs the Rock!

there is an interesting question as to what Jericho does if he decides to not immediatly re-sign with the WWE.

They will play hardball...if he doesn't bite...what the hell is he going to do?
