Guest Dangerous A Posted July 13, 2002 Report Posted July 13, 2002 According to the new observer (gotta love living only 50 miles away from Meltzer) the original storyline for the 10 man tag match was for Nash to never tag until the finish, and then single handedly lay out all five babyfaces with high kicks before pinning Booker clean with a power bomb. Nash was going to be given the strong push because the plan was for Nash vs HHH as the third match from the top at SS. (underneath Rock vs Lesnar and Hogan vs Vince) Plus HHH's opponents are going to be pushed correctly leading up to the big match. Man if that scenario were to have happened, this board would have been ON FIRE with heat towards Nash.

Guest AM The Kid Posted July 13, 2002 Report Posted July 13, 2002 I wouldn't have minded that finish actually...meh.
Guest Will Scarlet Posted July 13, 2002 Report Posted July 13, 2002 Sounds pretty terrible. Even though, I would guess he would only lay out Booker, Dust, Bubba, and Spike because RVD had been laid out by that point. Either way, all that for a HHH/Nash pay off. ??? I am glad I will not have to see that now.
Guest Ram Posted July 13, 2002 Report Posted July 13, 2002 I think we're all missing something here. ROCK VS. LESNAR. Rock wins the title. And jobs it to Brock at SS.
Guest jimmy no nose Posted July 13, 2002 Report Posted July 13, 2002 I think we're all missing something here. ROCK VS. LESNAR. Rock wins the title. And jobs it to Brock at SS. I was just going to point that out, but I think Rock will win that.
Guest claydude14 Posted July 13, 2002 Report Posted July 13, 2002 but HHH is on smackdown, and Nash on RAW!
Guest chirs3 Posted July 13, 2002 Report Posted July 13, 2002 I think we're all missing something here. ROCK VS. LESNAR. Rock wins the title. And jobs it to Brock at SS. That was the first thing I noticed. Bastards! Maybe Rock won't win the title, and Rock/Brock will just be the summation of a crappy 1 month fued!
Guest Smeghead Posted July 13, 2002 Report Posted July 13, 2002 but HHH is on smackdown, and Nash on RAW! Shhhhhhh. Just play along.
Guest Mattdotcom Posted July 13, 2002 Report Posted July 13, 2002 Yeah, since when does a little thing like the BRAND EXTENSION matter to Mr. Intense?
Guest bcu1979 Posted July 13, 2002 Report Posted July 13, 2002 but HHH is on smackdown, and Nash on RAW! Well, they could always have a storyline where Triple H and Nash ignore the brand extention because Vince can't tell them what to do, which would of course make all the other wrestlers look weak. But I thought when they first started the extention they said that they would save interpromotional matches for the biggest PPV's like WrestleMania and SummerSlam.
Guest Spaceman Spiff Posted July 13, 2002 Report Posted July 13, 2002 Nash was going to be given the strong push because the plan was for Nash vs HHH as the third match from the top at SS. (underneath Rock vs Lesnar and Hogan vs Vince) Wait, so the last 3 matches at SS were going to be: --Rock/Lesner - *should* be decent --Vince/Hogan - ummmm..... --Nash/HHH - errr....... Ooof. Plus HHH's opponents are going to be pushed correctly leading up to the big match. Hey, why couldn't they do that WHEN HE WAS FEUDING W/ JERICHO???????
Guest LesnarLunatic Posted July 13, 2002 Report Posted July 13, 2002 Sounds pretty terrible. I am glad I will not have to see that now. no... RVD would have crawled to the ring, rolled in and got laid out by Nash. As for Summerslam, Brock will beat Rock and Rock will go off to film a movie.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted July 13, 2002 Report Posted July 13, 2002 Let me just say...and I'l be borrowing from the Rock... If SummerSlams top two matches are: Brock vs. Rock and Hogan vs. Vince... THEN SUMMERSLAM IS GOING TO ABSOLUTELY SUCK!!!! Man...they had better give me an RVD vs. Benoit number one contender match or something. Oh...who am I kidding...HHH will squash RVD now.
Guest LesnarLunatic Posted July 13, 2002 Report Posted July 13, 2002 Maybe Karma will strike and Vince will get injured or something.
Guest The Superstar Posted July 14, 2002 Report Posted July 14, 2002 Hey, why couldn't they do that WHEN HE WAS FEUDING W/ JERICHO??????? Because Jericho isn't in The Game's league, duh!
Guest Shaved Bear Posted July 14, 2002 Report Posted July 14, 2002 I told you this injurycan be better for the WWF, but all of you people (actually several) said You are a bastard etc etc etc
Guest Brian Posted July 14, 2002 Report Posted July 14, 2002 Yeah, I read that in the Torch too. Also mentioned that they're teasing a Brock face push at house shows against Big Show since Heyman isn't there, so they might go with Angle/Lesnar. I like that match better because Angle can play scared heel part of the time and has a bigger moveset than Brock when it comes to controlling the heel portions, since that's what would happen in Rock/Brock.
Guest the pinjockey Posted July 14, 2002 Report Posted July 14, 2002 Wait, so the last 3 matches at SS were going to be: --Rock/Lesner - *should* be decent --Vince/Hogan - ummmm..... --Nash/HHH - errr....... Ooof. Wow that is a WCW PPV if I ever heard one. A craptacular uppercard with a stacked undercard: Angle Jericho RVD Benoit Edge Eddy Booker Rey Jr. Storm
Guest Human Fly Posted July 14, 2002 Report Posted July 14, 2002 Good to know that even though Booker T. is getting really over with the fans they were going to have him made to look like a jobber while they built up Nash. Another 40 something who can't wrestle worth a lick. Why they can't use Nash to build up Booker T., but Jericho can be used to build up John Cena is a mystery to me.
Guest Your Olympic Hero Posted July 14, 2002 Report Posted July 14, 2002 Nash vs. HHH would have gone to a no contest b/c neither man would job. Then the two would both be declared #1 contenders. They would go on to meet the winner of BrockRock at Unforgiven, and both pin him at the same time. Co-champs in the clique, you heard it here first.
Guest evenflowDDT Posted July 14, 2002 Report Posted July 14, 2002 As awful as this all sounds, remember that a RAW or two ago, Nash did get a frighteningly loud pop, second only to Michaels.
Guest FeArHaVoC Posted July 14, 2002 Report Posted July 14, 2002 Did you really think Angle would win the Title? Triple H work a match under Angle on a PPV? Don't be so silly.
Guest Harry Hood Posted July 14, 2002 Report Posted July 14, 2002 I guess hindsight really is 20/20 for some people...the real question i guess is why Vince would do that?
Guest Brian Posted July 14, 2002 Report Posted July 14, 2002 "Nash did get a frighteningly loud pop, second only to Michaels." I wonder what kind of heat he'd get if they turned him heel?
Guest cabbageboy Posted July 14, 2002 Report Posted July 14, 2002 Nash is the epitome of a guy who might get a pop but can't draw a dime. I'm baffled as to this original booking, it sounds crack induced. Why would they want to push Nash that hard? Beating up all 5 men including 2 guys who have much more drawing potential than he has (RVD and Booker)? I'm relieved he got hurt now that I read that, as twisted as that might sound. They just need to drop the NWO. I know people who have literally stopped watching Raw out of protest of the NWO.
Guest Cubbie78 Posted July 14, 2002 Report Posted July 14, 2002 hmmmmm, maybe Im in the minoroity here but it doesnt sound THAT bad (maybe except for the booker thing) but otherwise...Ok so he lays out the four guys (RVD was already layed out by Brock) whoopte do and is pushed as a member of the NWO feuding with HHH...well who the hell cares?...NWO and HHH both can go to hell and they will be feuding with one another, ok fine....RVD has his heat protected by not having Nash boot him to hell and the feud with the Vanilla Gorilla continues...The important thing is Nash and HHH are out of the title picture, let them fight it out and get better thingd for guys like benoit eddy, brock even, RVD, angle to do like getting over and into the title pic...Just a thought
Guest Insanityman Posted July 14, 2002 Report Posted July 14, 2002 I am no longer an Atheist. I don't like Nash and I'm happy that the match isn't on the card.
Guest pinnacleofallthingsmanly Posted July 14, 2002 Report Posted July 14, 2002 They protect the hell out of Bubba Ray for some reason, but Booker T gets buried all the time. You would think someone that is willing to job like Booker T would get all of those jobs back. The jury's still out on Goldust because I haven't really seen him wrestle alot and it seems like the spotlight is more on Booker T. I don't know if I have as big of a problem with Goldust getting punked out and Spike gets punked out every show.
