Guest Brian Report post Posted July 18, 2002 "Saying RVD is "spot-spot-spot"..you'd have to go the other direction, too. Lots of WWE guys are "spot-spot-spot". How about Austin? Mudhole stomp, Thesz Press, Stunner. Triple H? Facebuster, High Knee, Pedigree. Angle? Belly to Belly, Angle Slam, Anklelock. See my point? Pointing out RVD just because he does high spots is kind of a cheap shot. If anything, everybody in the WWE is a 'spot wrestler'..because look what most matches degenerate into?" Well, I've argued that before and come totally 360 and the main difference is that spots are only part of the match, and whereas in an RVD match they become a defining point because of how and when they are used, as a whole you have to look at matches as just part of it just like transitions, psychology, pacing, etc. He's gotten better at all three but I can still see where he needs a lot of work. Guest Hogan Made Wrestling Report post Posted July 18, 2002 Since when do Angle and The Rock use chops? They seem (to me at least) to favor those big overhand punches.
