Brand New / Taking Back Sunday

Anyone know the story behind the songs Brand New - "Seventy Times 7" and Taking Back Sunday - "There's No 'I' In Team"? Here's what I've heard about it...

 

The lead singer from Taking Back Sunday (don't know his name... let's call him Rick) and slept with the lead singer from Brand New's (Jesse) girlfriend. Jesse/Brand New wrote a song about how much it sucked and how wrong it was and how Rick ruined the relationship and his girlfriend is a slut. Then Rick/Taking Back Sunday wrote a song in response saying how they should still be friends, forget and forgive, you're not perfect either.

 

I think it's really powerful to listen to those songs back to back (Brand New - "Seventy Times 7" and then Taking Back Sunday - "There's No 'I' In Team"). Try it sometime. If you like punk/emo/pop-punk/rock, then download both songs or hell, buy both CDs.
