When I click the quote button above a message, it gives me a blank message, with the code of the original message in a box below, but doesn't have the entire message "quoted" like that. If you look at the box below this one it says "Original Post to Quote," and thats what shows up in the quote box What you described is the PURPOSE of the quote button

That makes it worse...How do you miss a friggin chop and a dude that tall and crack him in the mouth? Fuck Bradshaw. I'm not sticking up for Bradshaw here at all.(just go look at NHB and you'll see my Bradshaw Tread) But I remember Jericho catching Austin with a chop last Suvivor Series that had Austin's mouth full of blood.
Guest The Vanilla Midget Posted July 20, 2002 Report Posted July 20, 2002 the reason that nowinski and nidia are coming over so well is because they are heels, and the commentators thus dont give em the "lovable loser" style rub they give the face winners. also, nowinski has shown he was indeed robbed in TE1, and i think mavens victory may have had a lot to do with them wanting a face winner with a sequel series coming up. after all, you dont wanna piss all the fans off by making the winner the guy they most hate.

And when Jackie and Linda won.....well she was pissed like everyone else. Plus she declared they both suck. Wow if an out of touch 40 year old mom can call it then why can't the WWE?

Guest El Psycho Diablo Posted July 20, 2002 Report Posted July 20, 2002 Chris Harvard and Nidia seem to be adjusting better than the "Tough Enough Kids" (being Maven, Linda, Jackie). The only thing those three have to go on are "They're from Tough Enough, and have heart!" or some such nonsense. Other people play better "new guy" characters (Cena) and are better in the ring (Chris). My thought is the time in OVW/HWA did Nidia and Harvard good. They got characters, and get reactions. The other three don't get much of anything at all.

I agree. Also, I think they are working because they are quickly evolving beyond their TE gimmick. All of the TE wrestlers should be working to drop that stamp as soon as possible, and become different characters. Nowinski has the Harvard snob thing, Nidia has the trailer park gal thing. Look at this way--flash forward 5 years. Is Maven still using the TE name to try and get over? He sure as hell better not be. jester
